FYI: We had to do a last minute switch-out on Rose's mic due to issues with his regular one. Will have it fixed for tomorrow's show. Thanks guys - Producer Dan
The only Mets talk on Jomboy Media today was about grimace and Jake being bad about the winning streak on Talkin Baseball lmao. I guess they did it to them selves sadly, was excited to hear some praise for them. They are playing really good ball right now.
A 5 game winning streak, great, but nothing that noteworthy considering the Padres suck against teams below 500. There are many better teams than the Mets who regularly get ignored on this show too.
Factor question: Now that Yamamoto is out, I think the Dodgers should be a little concerned about Tyler Glasnow's innings pitched. He is on pace to significantly exceed his previous high of 120 innings pitched in a season and will probably do so in the next 4 - 5 games. How will this factor in their deadline trade decisions?
Ms fan here - 20+ years of disappointment have made us disillusioned. Not counting anything until it’s done. Remember the Angels collapse last year after the deadline?
Angels had no where near the quality rotation that the mariners currently have. Just like Plouffe said, this rotation will stall any prolonged losing streak
The M's already won the division. So they don't have to worry about that at least. Every other team in that division is complete garbage. Might go down as one of the worst division of all time.
@@the509s4 do you see the other teams in that division? They're not even trying. lol. The A's and Angels are both losing 100+ games. The Astros and Rangers are getting beat up by every team they play. The AL West has 4 of the 7 worst teams of baseball in it. lmao
I think Yamamoto sort of injured himself vs the Yankees when he was zipping 98 mph fastballs all game, when his fastball has been sitting 94/95mph all season.
Factor question of the week. With Jerry west passing away it made you about legends in the sport that I never watch. My question is there a player that has passed away in your life time that you regret not meeting? For me it was Bob Gibson. Follow up is there someone that you are actively looking to meet before they do pass? #Factor #questionoftheweek
Crawford is a wise choice. He’s hit well the last few times he’s been given an opportunity. Doubles and HR. Of course he isn’t in the lineup tonight for the Cards.🙄
I’m a Mets fan (because I hate myself), and obviously, the Red Sox are the much bigger story. Their underlying metrics suggest they’ve been unlucky, and maybe positive regression has kicked in. As for the Mets, nothing I’ve seen suggests that this is anything more than the kind of mini-streak that even terrible teams enjoy during a long season. Eight of their next 9 series (27 of 29 games) are against teams currently under .500. If they dominate in that stretch, I’ll get interested. But they don’t have the pitching to do it, so I’m not holding my breath. I still think they’ll be deadline sellers.
Ross has an Opportunity if he wants to get rid of Bo To get something. Valuable back because the dodgers are desperate That's the only way the blue jays will trade If you can't get anything good at if there's no sense in trading
The Astros are missing Luis Garcia, McCullars, Urquidy, Javier , oh and Verlander missed his last start. JP France who filled in last year also down. That’s the entire Rotation except Framber. Also Tucker is out. The Dodgers will just have to deal with it like other teams do. Screw them and their Payroll.
Hey, we felt bad when Strider and Acuna got injured... Well it's true we still have Shohei and Freddy, so i kinda understand why you don't feel bad for the Dodgers (for now actually).
Braves had a crazy weekend. Surprised none of that made the show. Harris II is out at least a month. Kelenic is hitting leadoff and crushing it. Waldrep shat the bed. Random guy who spent 10 years in the minors finally made his MLB debut and threw 3 innings of shutout relief... and he looks like Kenny Powers. Riley homered in 3 straight games. Olson is back. I mean, I get it, other teams have fun story lines, too, but man what a weekend.
