I don’t think any other manager would continue to play a guy hitting under .030. I love CT3 but this has got to stop. It hurts watching him.

What did us in: - Brasier falling behind against Tatis with repeated pitches inside, despite Tatis being known to chase outside - Vesia spamming hittable fastballs on 0-2, 2 outs - Hitters swinging for the fences in a close game - Bottom of the lineup lacking hits

What did us in: Muncy got OUT at first base when he should have gotten OUT at Home Plate in top of 7th inning. He had MORE THAN PLENTY TIME to get a runner out at Home Plate reviewing the video. It’s this Muncy’s mental mistake which gave an extra run to Padres and cost Dodgers a game !

@@yaniyuhara8165 That was a fairly close play to be honest. I don't blame Muncy for that, especially since he made two solid defensive plays in the game.

@@DOXO881 Did you review the video ? When Muncy caught the ball, the runner was only half way to the Home Plate. Muncy had more time to get this runner out at home plate than getting the runner out at the first base.

What did us in on Wednesday game vs Twins: I also want to comment on Wednesday’s game. This was a strategic mistake on Dave Roberts. When Shohei hit single in top of 5th inning with 2 outs, Dave Roberts should have tried Shohei to steal second base. Freeman was coming up to the plate with 2 outs, this was a perfect situation for Shohei to try to steal second. Shohei IS the fastest runner in Dodgers with max sprint speed of 28.2 ft/sec while Mookie 29.6 and he is not pitching this year meaning he has plenty energy to burn off on the field this year. But Dave Roberts did NOT take this chance. Consequently Shohei could not score when Freemen singled at this bat. Dodgers COULD HAVE TIED this game if Shohei stole second in this situation. This was on Roberts as far as I can see.

@@DOXO881 It is not just this game. He has no defensive instinct. It happened in the other games this year also. He needs to learn to look at home first instead of automatically going to first base. But he is is not a good defender or has good instincts so… should have kept Michael Busch at third and got rid of Chris bum taylor hmm

They don't have better hitters sitting on the bench so bringing in Pages and Vargas I mean they can't be any worse at hitting than CT and Lux. The relief pitchers are too inconsistent they pitch decently for a game then forget how to pitch the next game and give up a bunch of runs.

Is he managing a team or sitting pretty in the bench and analyze the game after the game ? After-the-game analysis doesn’t mean much unless he manages during a game. Don’t over-manage with MLB players, but take a chance and properly manage when need to.

⁠@@yaniyuhara8165we dont have to win all the regular season games. Anticipating ct3 to catch up from his slump by letting him have in game AB’s is definitely more effective for him in the long term. This, the beginning of the season, is the only time we have that we can use to let both hitters and pitchers to adjust stuffs throughout their playing time. Think big.

this is Dave Roberts being Dave Roberts. not having the right instincts on what move to make at what times. If everyone is screaming into the TV in real time before the damage happens, you know it's a bad move. He substituted too soon so we were left with nothing in extra innings. CT3 being a disaster. They should've left Lux because if you believe he's part of the future, he can't be a platoon player. If you don't believe in Lux, then cut him now. There's no way CT3 stays in but Lux and Outman go out.

Well when we get buehler and kershaw back, we can run a full 6 man rotation with stone going to now-Grove-role. That is huge. And with treinen and graterol coming back, having yarbrough and stone as long relievers, that not only removes burden from the relievers but also lets treinen and graterol to adjust to live game pitching and other relievers who have been playing not to be gassed out. Ideally, we can have a 4 man rotation with glasnow, yamamoto, buehler, kershaw with miller and paxton as piggybacks in the postseason. That is definitely much better rotation that we had in 21,22,23.

Which base running are you talking about ? As far as his base running, on Wednesday game vs Twins in the top of 5th inning when Shohei hit single with 2 outs, he should have tried to steal a second base. It was a perfect situation worth taking a risk of stealing, but he chose to stay on the first base when Freeman hit single. If had Shohei stole second base, he could have scored RUN with this single and tied this game. It was Shohei and more than that, it was Roberts managing mistake that they didn’t take this chance.

@@yaniyuhara8165 thought there were a couple of opportunities for him to get on 3rd in the 5th inning (one with freeman one with will smith) might be nit picking here but felt like he can be a little conservative sometimes, maybe comes with growing up in Japan? Everything else is beyond perfect.

@@kenny0626 oh, I see. Do you recall that Shohei getting out at 3rd base when he caught up with his forerunner Mookie at 3rd base in the beginning of the season ? Shohei thought he hit triple and kept running toward the 3rd base when Mookie could not pass the 3rd base to the home base from the first base and consequently Shohei caught up with Mookie. Shohei is the fastest runner in Dodgers. Since this incident, Shohei has been a bit conservative as far as base running. Perhaps he was also told that he does not have to be too aggressive with base running since Freeman and Smith are coming up as batters after Shohei. But in my opinion, more aggressive the better in all aspects of baseball.

Lux is doing nothing at the plate, Vesia stinks too. If we could jettison these two, plus Taylor, and call up Vargas for starters that would be a step in the right direction.

I've had a lot of patience... OK, yes, the season just started, but come on, Roberts. You take out Outman, but not Taylor. Lux, another story, he missed 2023 & have him as our shortstop for 2024, you move him to 2nd & make moves & take him out of game. Gavin should've begun a year in AAA. Our bottom of line up is bad, oh not to forget bullpen. Dodgers had this game & bullpen let us down.. This loss was like a flashback to playoff loss to Padres. Bats got f$$$$ cold. This Machado dude acts like a kid & stares at dugout when he hit homerun, wtf man....Finally who's idea was to place a plaque of Tatis home run at Dodger stadium ..got to be kidding me. You think they would've done that at Petco if it was one of the Dodgers..Plain disgusting, I've had it. I will still root for my Dodgers.

It was Muncy’s misjudgment that brought L to Dodgers today. He should have threw Home in the top of 7th inning instead of to the first base. He had PLENTY TIME to get OUT a runner at Home plate if he threw to the Home Plate. But he chose to throw to the first base. This misjudgement gave the extra run to Padres and cost the game !

I know CT has had some clutch hits and defensive plays over the last few years but it’s time to send him down and let him work daily on his hitting. Bring Pages up and see what happens for a few weeks!

@@brucebruce8425 yeah, I know but he should want to get some extra AB’s and he would play every game. I hate seeing him only get limited time. He could use some positive results for his confidence and come back up and be himself again.
