Dave has constantly said that Yamamoto was tipping his pitches and especially the Padres seem to know what to look for. So I guess we will find out if that was actually the issue.

The last guy really went in on Yoshinbu. He had a similar rookie season to Jacob deGrom. DeGrom is a 2 time Cy Young winner and 4 time all star. Dude needs to chill. Yoshinbu will get there.

Exactly I was think the same thing. The was a stupid question. Obviously they need to collect on there investment. But common sense it’s his first year in the major leagues different hitters he’s learning I’m sure next year he’ll be just fine. But for now we have to get whatever we can get from him

Excited and nervous for game 5! Playoff baseball will do that to fans. Every at bat, every pitch, etc is magnified in the playoffs.

It is absolutely insane to start Yamamoto in an elimination game. He has given up a total of 10 ER in just 4 innings in 2 outings combined against the Padres.

This is a joke. The Dodgers could go with the same approach as game 4, because the bullpen is rested. But NO, they have to play from behind when Yamamoto gets crushed.

@@mikem3789 Yep. This should have been a bullpen game. Yamamoto can easily give up 3 runs in just 1 inning, even if they pull him immediately, too much damage could have been done already. I don't know how did they arrive at such a train wreck of a decision, it is most likely even above Roberts pay grade.
