I hope Dodgers trade for Garrett Crochet. If that trade happens it be big. Dodgers biggest need is Garrett Crochet the Pitcher. If the Dodgers get Garrett Crochet that will help the Dodgers win against Philadelphia Phillies, put Dodgers #1 in NL and win the World Series 2024.
It would really be smart for the Dodgers to trade big this deadline and getting Luis Robert Jr. and Garrett Crochet would be very nice. But include in the shopping list Tanner Scott..Randy Arozarena and Jack Flaherty if they don’t acquire the first 2 mentioned..though Tanner Scott is a must too!!💯🙏💙
I certainly hope they don't go for Robert, too many injuries and would make them more HR dependent. Imo, Arozarena is a much better gamble. NO to Springer!! Crochet might be nice but much more expensive, I'd prefer them going for Scott and Flaherty or even Bassitt (since the Jays might not move Bo).
So Lou Bob is performing poorly because he can't get motivated to play baseball on a bad team? How did Shohei get motivated to win 2 MVPS playing for a terrible Angels team all those years? Lou Bob had 1 good season where he showed his power. He strikes out a ton (170+ Ks in 2023). If the Dodgers were to land him that would essentially put an end to Andy Pages being a starter. Pages is developing nicely and both he and Miguel Vargas have a better bat to ball skill set that LRJ. Crochet on the other hand would absolutely be a weapon. He can start, he could be a high leverage arm out of the pen, he could be a bulk inning guy, whatever they need. He's going to be expensive though. I'm ALL IN on Bo Bichette. And DEFINITELY no on Anthony Pham. He's an a-hole and would get relentlessly trolled by Dodgers fans. You slap Joc, you're dead to me.
Crochet yes, no on Robert. I rather have guys like Jonathan India type who can play the infield, hit for decent average and be on base at the bottom so Ohtani has someone to drive them in.
I've seen Crochet pitch the other day against the Dodgers. That kid's NO JOKE! Not sure the White Sox should give him up because he's the bona fide ace on that staff right now. Robert's nice, but do the Dodgers really need ANOTHER OF at this point (still waiting for Outman to come back up from AAA OKC, lol)??? I heard Flaherty's name being thrown around of late and that one I DO like to see the Dodgers go after towards the trade deadline this season. Hometown kid with good stuff and more importantly KNOWS HOW TO PITCH!!! I'd give up Buehler and Knack for him in a heartbeat, too...
