I totally agree with you on MT FL machines they are bad news but their older TL machines were very reliable. Only better TL was the Whirlpool direct drive machines. As far as Gen-4 and Gen-5 Wascomats, Hell yeah those are good machines.

Huebsch, Speed Queen, Unimac, IPSO & Primus are all identically made by Alliance Laundry. Older IPSOs and Older Primuses were owned seperately. Huebsch, Speed Queen, Unimac, Dexter, Electrolux, Maytag, Primus, IPSO & Wascomat all uses the same inner washer drum on the washer-extractors (not talking about the High Effieciency Front Loaders). As for the Dryers; Huebsch, Speed Queen, Unimac and Continental Girbau are all identical. Dexter Dryers are identical to the older Speed Queen, older Huebsch Loadstars, older ADC, older Maytag, Wascomat's Wascodry & the Milnor Dryers. And yes I do like Gen 3, Gen 4 and Gen 5 Wascomats. I wish I knew how to repair everything. And yes good luck with the new stickers on one of the W74s and on one of the W124s.

In the face of the current epidemic, you may of course be forced to close. However, would it also be possible to run some sort of drop-off service for your customers in the interim? I realize it is a labor intensive process, but it would allow you to remain open and retain your customers who truly need your service. Going beyond the obvious PR capitalization that you would garner, it just seems like 'The right thing to do' for the community. The pain to both of you would temporary, but may also be an opportunity to hire a few temporary employees to help. I see it as a win for the business, but even in a larger picture, success for the community!

As far as the virus, stop worrying about it so much. The laundry business is necessary to keep all of your patrons clean. If you're closed then you can guaranty they'll go elsewhere, being open is important.

You mention 3900 for $1200, but that doesn't compute. There must be another factor in the equation. Why not get a bigger or a second coin changer? It would eliminate outages. Handy dandy paint brushes are very useful tools.

If you put a 10 micron filter on your water line just after the meter, it will catch all of that sand, and it will be big enough that it doesn’t clog up with mineral deposit. If you want to catch the mineral, put a 1 micron filter AFTER the 10 micron.

If the city shuts everyone down, that could be a good time to go through and do annual cleaning and maintenance

what is the width and depth of your store? and what does each machine do? detail of wash etc. wash 3 rinse and 1000rpm spins etc. can you explain the models. you showed a top loader with a deep tub. ta

To dissolve the soap scum you need boiling water - buy a cheap electric kettle so you can boil the hot water & it will dissolve the soap but may need a scrub with a stiff brush too
