My sister committed suicide. She went to Heaven. God gave me a vision of her looking radiantly happy. Happier than I had ever seen her on earth. She was always very anti-suicide. She was in a situation of serious distress but I won't go into the actual details.
That's not called suicide. Suicide is evil. That's just depression or An anxiety disorder which was her cause of death. Suicide is hatred of yourself and your life - it's hatred to God. God tests us on our faith, not our failures. So I'm happy to hear that she is in Heaven with God - now we know he loving He really is?

You don't know the pain of being abused 30 years of your life. Raising three kids. In an abusive marriage. Left. Lost my 26 year old saved son by PTSD he brought home from Afghanistan. I have CPTSD. I died when my son did on February 23, 2017. Every year on that day I think about taking my life. I also hate the term committed suicide. He did not. That makes it sound like he committed a crime. No. He was so overwhelmed and the Army was mean and a woman he just married wanted him dead for the $400,000 insurance. When you suffer from severe depression from a chemical imbalance it is different from suffering from depression due to circumstances. I suffer from both it's a double whammy depression!!!. When I lost my 37 old daughter is when I found out that the pain and suffering worsened tremendously. I have battled addiction in the past and abusive relationships and would never do it because someone didnt want me or love me anymore. At the time it hurts but you get over it. Sorry, but people now a days I find are even less willing to listen or help. So called family members say shake it off. And that they have their own lives and problems. They intentionally are doing and saying things knowing it's worsening my dreppression. BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY I HAVE PRAYED FOR YEARS AND STILL PRAYING TO GOD TO HELP ME AND TO FORGIVE THEM. Also I'm in extreme pain from back injuries and a back disease and am not on pain medication. We all sin and fall short of GOD'S GLORY. I BELIEVE IN GOD OUR FATHER. I LOVE JESUS and it's really aggravating when people ASSUME your faith is not strong enough and say that's why I'm suffering. On the contrary My FAITH IN JESUS IS THE ONLY THING THAT HAS KEPT ME GOING THIS LONG FOR ALL THESE YEARS. I'm 62 years old and had and still have a hard life. Physically,Mentally & Financially. I'm tired so I understand how ppl can contemplate not wanting to not live in the flesh anymore. Unless you have walked a mile in someone else's shoes PLEASE DON'T JUDGE AND CALL IT MURDER YOU ARE NOT KILLING YOUR SPIRIT!!! YOUR FLESH IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS LEFT BEHIND!!!! Yes suicide is as bad as murder but all sins can be forgiven except the unpardonable sin. I am a veteran and I have seen alot of combat and I have also lost alot of brothers to suicide. People are too judgemental when they are not to judge others. No one can say if a person commits suicide that they will go to Hell.

This ultimate act can be brought on by other people, which is actually their intentions. There are people enduring a life worse than the hell you imagine right here on earth today. If these people that take their life to get out of hell do not go to heaven, then there is no God, and I certainly know better than that. Some will do anything to escape pain, who knows that better than us?
Suicide is a sin. Period. In order for a sin to be forgiven, it MUST BE REPENTED of. (Luke 17:3-4,-Luke 13:3,5) It would be very difficult to repent of this sin, if you were no longer living. If you die without yours sins (ALL OF THEM) being forgiven, what do you think will happen to that person?

Torron, I know exactly how you feel. 😟 I struggle so strongly with the same exact feelings in moments in my life. Sometimes life just feels like too much and you feel like you can't endure it much longer. My advice is when you feel like dying. Call out to Jesus and ask him to help you make it thru. I believe people who commit suicide will not go to heaven unless they are literally mental, out of themselves. because God is the only who can take your life not yourself or others. so if you commit suicide your going to hell right now. God will not allow this to happened unless the enemy take over your life that's why your going to hell. (even you, believing to Jesus Christ as your savior) you can't escape of eternal fire instead of eternal life. (the devil itself persuade you to died than to live).

Suicide is an easy way out. You cannot go to Heaven and you will not go to Heaven. It is murder. Everybody thinks their loveones going to Heaven that is a lie. When do you ask God for forgiveness. Their are a lot of Christians are going to hell because of an unrepentance heart. Just because you went to church and confess Christ does not give you permission to continual in SIN. He's gonna say depart from me thy workers of iniquity I never knew you. Hell is real.
Key words: "never knew," not "no longer know." It can't mean real Christians; if they were once saved, then He did know them at some point. It can only mean never-saved impostors.
If one commits suicide there not in position to ask God for repentance after. Repentance is essential because it re-marrys sinful man to God both mentally and spiritually. That's why we must take advantage of repenting to God daily in our living because during death or when Christ returns, it's to late. One can not ask for repentance during death. It's not the unforgiving sin but it is a sin where one can't ask for forgiveness afterward, which is gravely dangerous!
I wuld say that Jesus sacrifice is so sufficient that it covers even the mistakes you did not completely repented from, but I would agree that since suicide brings into question your assurance of salvation that one should not go into an area that even wise members of the church don't evne know if your assured after that. This is the problem with religions: Nobody knows for sure. These guys just know what they have read from the bible but there are so many other religions as well. No human can posess the knowledge of the afterlife and live this life at the same time that is why it is called afterlife. I will point out that when you do think about suicide there is a resistance within yourself which should be all you need to come to the conclusion thay suicide is not only a very bad decision but it is the last one you will make in this life.
Does A Person Who Commits Suicide Go To Heaven? No he won't go to heaven. He dies. Can a dead person repent? Unfortunately, no. He won't go to hell either. When Christ returns to establish His Kingdom on Earth, there are the 2 resurrections of the dead in which ALL who are in graves rises, others to eternal Life in the Kingdom and others to the Lake of Fire. Jesus Christ will ultimately decide the fate of that person who commited suicide. Going to heaven after death is not biblical or the destination of christians.

ive felt suicidal thruout my life but i knew killing myself was wrong. the devil tried to put lies in my head, trying to convince that it was okay, "God understands," " just do it." etc...but thankfully i didnt believe him. it wasnt a chance i was willing to take. i would just pray, read Gods Word, and worship, and get filled with the Holy Spirit....the Comforter...who gives peace that surpasses all understanding. and God also opened my eyes about speaking life, not death. i used to always speak how miserable i felt, that my life was worthless, no one cared, life sucks, etc...it became reality. now im learning to speak Gods Word, no matter how i feel on the inside. now i say things like, "i wasnt given a spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind." or "this is the day the Lord has made, i will rejoice and be glad in it," "im a new creation in Christ," "Im the head not the tail," if God is for me, who can be against me?" no matter how bad you wanna speak negative, dont do it. words dont come back void. and if you're depressed because you feel so lonely, take comfort knowing that other believers are alone, feeling the same way too. the world rejects us because we dont desire to do what they're doing. but our suffering is nothing compared to the glory we'll receive when Jesus returns.
I doubt anyone who kills themselves will go to he'll because in Matthew 24:13 Jesus says those that endure to the end will be saved not those who end themselves however if anyone is thinking of killing themself worship God with all your heart and cry out to him so he may save you and watch his love heal you and cover you Amen.

My brother had brain cancer, after surgery he said that he didn't feel himself any more. he lived a while longer, trying to deal with the way he felt and the actual pain, but when he couldn't go on that way any longer, he chose death with dignity. He was saved, he had a Minister friend that came to his house from time to time to minister to him and pray, and that's when he got save. What it all come down to is this, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Judge. ❤️
Suicide is NOT self murder. That was an idiotic statement. Murder is the taking of ANOTHER person’s life. Most people who commit suicide have an unbearable pain they can no longer deal with. I felt this pain and if it would not have passed, I would have wanted to end my life. It’s not about having a bad day. Unless you know the deep, deep pain of a SERIOUS depression, you will have a hard time understanding.
I find it sad that you choose to imply that a christian who commits suicide might not really have genuine faith. Who are you to judge someone's faith and what struggles they may be going through? Depression is real and serious. Christians aren't immune from it any more than they are immune from the flu. It is a human condition, not a non-christian condition.
Well yes the church should comfort people who are experiencing troubles in their life, and that includes depression. But don't mistaken that somehow the church condemning suicide as a way to deal with problems is somehow meaing that we don't understand your suffering. To your first point, the two men were not making a judgement on someones salvation, but telling them how to examine oneself. Jason Biggs I disagree with you. In the video, Todd Wagner said, “Suicide is not the unforgivable sin, but it does beg the question, a person who commits suicide, ok? Do they know the all-sufficient God?” If they are not making a judgment on someone's salvation, then they have a funny way of talking. Sure sounds to me like they are doing just that. He talks a lot about "abiding." Now surely any pastor would know that there are many Christians with differing views of what "abiding" means. To some it merely means bearing fruit (vine, branches, fruit, etc.), but to others, when they see that branches who don't bear fruit (i.e. not abiding in Christ) are thrown into the fire, they see that as salvation versus damnation (i.e. fire == hell). So whether it's "not abiding" or "not knowing the all-sufficient God" or saying "no one who knows God would do that" -- they all sound a lot like what I said initially, that they are questioning the faith of someone who attempts to commit suicide, or who is depressed to the point of considering it. I was not saying the church is inattentive to people with mental illness and their problems, although that is too often the case. I was saying that if one's response to suicide attempts and/or depression is to "buck up" (i.e. experience the joy of God, abide in Him, and "real believers" don't think like that), that you are completely ignoring the fact that many people with these problems have real issues that require real treatment, whether medical or otherwise. Would you tell someone with a profusely bleeding wound that God is all-sufficient, to abide and experience his joy? Of course not, you would administer first aid and get them the medical attention they need as fast as possible. In other words, when you meet such a person, it's probably not their lack of faith, or that their faith isn't genuine, or that they don't know the "all-sufficient God" as pastor Wagner put it, but rather that they may have real issues requiring treatment that are just as serious as cancer or any other health problem.

I had a cardiac arrest 1975. While I was gone I experienced my dad coming to meet me. He was carrying my baby in his arms, my baby was still born 1967. They were both dressed in white and all I could see was like white cloud surrounding them, then I had a sensation of being pulled back to my body My dad had committed suicide 1962. I had been dead for 20 minutes. I believed in God before, but i am a strong believer now. I feel God is with me and I feel like I'm not alone in a good way ya know. All this is true what I've said. And yes my dad is in heaven. I live in the UK.
My friend killed himself last Saturday night. Less than a week ago. I've been praying Jesus is with him, because he'd given up on God a long time ago but I know God doesn't give up on us, so I'm just really hoping he's with him. He was so unhappy, he'd been so unhappy for so long, I just pray God has him and he now feels the higher level of love he never seemed to feel here on earth

Matt please don't lose the battle to the spirit of depression. This is a daily struggle to walk with the Lord. You have to give it to Jesus, give him all your pain. Stay in his presence at all times. Please don't allow Satan to have victory over you. Your life is precious, and God has a purpose for you. Try to start focusing on what you can do for his kingdom, and get away from thinking about your past hurts. If no one has ever told you how much you are loved, I'm telling you God loves you. I don't know you, but I want you to have victory. I want you to experience everlasting life, so please never make a temporary decision that will affect you forever.

Back in 1994 my boyfriend beat me to almost death. I awoke and found myself alone in a hotel room on the floor. Blood was my existance. My Creator helped me to get to the hospital. If I had not known my Creator, I might have died that night.
I love Yeshua. I’m a true believer. I’m eternally grateful for my husband, a Bible major, who helped me grow closer to Him & The Word. However. I have 12 month old twins, now 33 weeks pregnant & hv been struggling w/ a vow I made to myself not to hurt my unborn child. Hurting myself will hurt her. I’m pushing through daily convincing myself to hold on a bit longer. Even after many rounds of seizures or panic attacks. Curious if my meds, hormones and/or the chaos in the world right now are helping push me daily to meet my end. And how to hang on a bit longer even when fighting such illnesses & distractions.

I have to disagree, only because God wants us to have faith. Killing yourself is abandoning hope and thus faith in him that he will not put more on you than you can bear. So I have to say, not trusting in God is just as bad as not believing that he will see you through.
These men are ignoring that Christians are attacked by the enemy, and some go into deep depression. A person who commits suicide is not what Jesus calls an "overcomer." This kind of teaching has opened the door for the enemy to destroy lives. There are eternal consequences if we die in our sins.

Pray for me. I may have been thinking about this for a while. I cannot bear the thought of not having may partner around. Did everything I could but still she wont let me reach out to her. I agree. My husband committed suicide in 2019. He destroyed our marriage, he was an alcoholic who chose the bottle over family. He overdosed on klonopin and seroquel so if he missed heaven it was his own fault. I loved my husband but he didn’t love his life and that’s just the simple truth.😢
Will Jesus understand if you kill yourself because of extreme unbeatable physical pain. What if you believed in Jesus and thought you were saved. But lived a very, very sinful life for many, many years. Now after the big injury you once again confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe with your whole heart and mind that God raised him from the dead. You truly desire to follow HIM and obey HIM. You have sincere remorse and regret for the life you've lived. You tell Jesus that you confess all your sins and ask HIM to mercy fully forgive you. You want to live and serve HIM. But your physical pain is beyond unbearable. Also you are now suddenly physical very limited. Your legs and arms are becoming weaker every day . If we belong to the one true God our lives are not our own. Our life is not ours to take. What ever trouble we are going through He will bring us through it,if we ask. If we trust and if we are patient,He will provide the answer. Most people don’t have the patience to wait,they want the situation to be resolved quickly. So they seek a solution that may be a bandage for a short time instead of seeking our Lord for His perfect peace,His perfect solution to all our worries. Seek first the kingdom of God and you will be blessed.
So if someone hasn't had the peace that you speak about because their workplace is a war zone full of back stabbers, liars and demons (you could say he works in hell) then would you say that they are not saved? Here's a guy who did everything everyone else did, accept Christ into his heart, and the fruits of that decision are a very strong desire to know God and to do what he asks, yet, no matter how much prayer is offered up to God, life just keeps getting worse and worse. Well, do you blame them really for feeling that death is preferable? Anyway, I feel this conversation you guys had here are a little superficial and inauthentic. It tells me you've never really faced the challenges that others have faced. But I don't know everyone has their tolerance level. Anyway, I'm in California. There are no churches here that have trustworthy Christians that I can even talk to.

No, those who commit suicide (murder) don't get everlasting life. The dead can't repent of their sins. Only the living have a chance to ask for forgiveness for their sins. Once we leave this body God will judge us. Our salvation is not determined by how nice we are. We are to be obedient to the word of God. If he has commanded that murderers will not inherit the kingdom, than murdering yourself would disqualify you. Satan is the author of confusion, and many people believe his lies concerning suicide. Suicide is a awful act that is not of God. It causes so much pain for those left behind, so why would anyone think that God would be ok with this. The first place satan attacks is the mind, so it is extremely important that we teach our children and others around how to combat this demonic spirit. We have a short time here on earth to repent of our sins and turn the other way. If you commit the sin of suicide, how does one repent and ask for forgiveness? People remember the word of God says my people are destroyed for a lack knowledge. Many will perish because of all the confusion concerning this matter.
That is foolishness. If a person has a Genuine relationship with God THEY WILL TRUST IN GOD FOR A SOLUTION FOR THEIR PROBLEM.......tell me I'm wrong ......
With respect you are wrong. That's like saying if a person has a genuine relationship with God they will never sin. Suicide is a sin and pain is real. Being humans there are times where our emotions can cause us to not think or act rationally there are examples of people even challenging God during great suffering (Job). To be fair I think it's either ignorance or an extreme blessing to be able to call it it foolishness if you've never had moments where you have doubted or strayed from The Lord.
As a slightly older Catholic viewer on this topic. I believe that you've been given life and it's not for you to take it! I don't abscribe to the faith alone perspective. It's not only what you believe, it's what you do that seals the deal one way or the other. Taking your life is a Mortal sin. By doing so, you abuse G_d's ultimate gift to us on this green earth... But of course only G_d has the ultimate say!
Tell me, people who are dying of cancer and are in pain are given pain pills and die from are they going to heaven? they say its the pain medicine that kills first not the cancer. I believe if your not in your right mind G-d will forgive
Commandments are pretty clear on the subject "shall not kill", and I would encourage anyone that's considering suicide to please get help...things will get better.
According to NDE's, there is understanding, but they have to "work their way back up the ladder". I for one feel more comfortable with that than the whole instant snap of the finger "your going to hell right then and there!" for escaping troubles either physical, emotional, financial or personal. A lot of people truly, truly can't cope with such issues, and often times they will look for a much easier way out, which is "Exit" Stage left. I guess that's the reality of free will. Gifts can be either a cursing or a blessing. Life itself is an enormous gift, but with a gift like that comes with all sorts of issues of various nature and responsibilities, a lot of which can be very overwhelming.
God's Word says, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God therefore those who kill themselves destroy God's temple and He will also destroy them. 1 Corinthians 3:17
that's why they are going to hell, suicide should be not the answer, and if not your time to die then its not. God is the only one who can take your life. killing yourself is works of the devil.

The past two years I have been under so much stress. I been knock down so many times and each time I was able to get up and start again. I am in a very dark place and I understand killing myself is not the solution. But I am tired and I can't control how I feel.I pray everyday that God would not allow me to wake up and I don't have to contend with my emotion.I understand that my mother ,my kids and my grandkids would not understand my decision to die.I hope that forgive because I see no hope, no relief from my situation.I will end my life this Sat .I pray that God will forgive me.all hope is gone and I see no other way out.thanks for listening
