This game can be aggravating getting it setup right. When i got to a 85 engine it made a "slight" difference. What i did to improve my speed was set to expert level and modified that for better handling, then go to the garage and make changes depending on the track I'm running. If you want garage settings the game cannot be set to normal, otherwise you loose the garage option settings... those settings can be critical. Only way to progress in this game is stay with it. The game is setup for that, it makes you work for a fast car. Like in real life you're not gonna just start at the top, you gotta earn it. It's a "career" racing game, not a get in it and beat everyone within a few races... Lol. My old NASCAR series 2002 game did that, i beat them all within a few practice runs and got completely bored with it pretty quick... it's no fun winning all the races.
I was expecting an F1 episode, so a bit disappointing. But then I see we finally have an rival! finally. Thanks. I also couldn't resist to look up that t-shirt.. Did you know you can buy them?? bkesports.com/collections/frontpage for sure they make you that fast!
On my own team, struggle to run top-ten (except for Bristol and road courses, where I can run away 🤔), but then join a 4-5 star team and win 10ish races each season 🤣
This has got to be one of the most annoying racing games I have ever played. I know a lot of my issues come from racing short races, but the AI cars always seem to be faster on some circuits. It certainly isn't a 'casual' game. That said, when things go well, its one of the most rewarding games I've played. One thing I would change, is I would love to be able to send messages to the drivers that ram into me.
What is your Aero rating at? Perhaps the straight away speed is impacted by that on the big tracks as much as the motor? But then knowing this shitty game the Aero actually affects your pit crew time or something "stupid".
Pocono next? Seems like a perfect time for a lap 1 turn 1 "brake failure"! If you are playing NASCAR Heat and something stupid does not happen, did you actually play NASCAR Heat? btw I like the ai failures on infrequent
This was the first race with it set at "infrequent" and we still had multiple cautions for AI issues - I don't think it changes much from what I've heard from other Heat creators.
To me the issue isn't the failures. If there was no stupid "AI cars very fast" and then flip the switch and the "AI cars are much slower" the yellows really wouldn't be as much of an issue. The problem is almost ALL the failure cautions seen to happen in the 2nd phase when David is trying to make up the time he lost in the first phase.
This is a 'career" game, you have to earn faster cars. It's not meant for anyone to jump in and win. You have to work then buy better parts, and better engines is only part of getting faster, it's the other parts available to buy that also makes a difference, plus the level of expertise of the workers you hire... which you have to pay for and train them. Guaranteed there's not one single thing will make your car fast in this game, it's multiple things combined, and it takes time and work to get there.
