Don’t know why this popped up. 😂 I'm from Atlanta and I think Kendrick was actually defending Atlanta. You have to remember that Drake sorta made a backhanded comment about Atlanta when he dissed the Weeknd. He basically implied that the Weeknd's music is only popular in Atlanta's gay clubs. In response, Kendrick called him out by highlighting that throwing shade at a city, which is considered the black mecca and a place where artists like Drake go to make money by adopting its popular rap style, shows how he’s a culture vulture. Why would any Atlanta artist be upset with the truth? This is well known. From the early 90s Atlanta music was clowned and disrespected by both the East and West rappers. It took years for us to get respect and then in the early 2000s it really took off. Our music became so popular that both East and West artist started doing music with Atlanta producers and now rappers all over are doing Atlanta style music.
I live in California, the Bay Area (where EVERYBODY copies our style and claims it as their own) In my opinion, those rap artists K-Dot spoke about don't have the wherewithal to respond because deep down inside, they know it is true; they didn't recognize until he put them up on the game. Atl rap artists are doing songs for numbers and Fortune, which is fine, but there comes a time when you must stand on principles and take the mental slave shackles of your brain.
@@virgowoman73You should do some research on history... Where do you think the majority of the black people in the Bay Area, and Cali period come from? I'll help you out... THE SOUTH!!! Ask E-40, B-Legit, Too-Short, Mac Dre, Yukmouth, Snoop, Cube, Dr Dre, Daz, etc where their families from. I'll tell you... THE SOUTH! Do you think it's a coincidence that NO OTHER AREA IN CALI has black people with dreads, golds, and cars on big rims except the BAY? Ask people from Chicago, Milwaukee where their bloodline come from. You do know that 54% of black people in America live in the South right? WE DON'T NEED TO STEAL CULTURE, WE ARE THE CULTURE, WE GET THINGS POPPING ON ALL LEVELS, FROM CIVIL RIGHTS, TO CLOTHING, TO GENERATING MONEY!
They didn't respond because of the possible financial implications either way. Good u cut off a hit maker bad u a sell out. Their view is most likely win win by omission. SMH
People not realizing how serious Ye was when he said "We're all very excited for the Elimination of Drake." They were in all those rooms and let Kenny have his way. Sometimes, as a regular @$$ StormTrooper, you gotta stand aside and just watch Darth Vader work 🤷🏿♂️
Not facts drake didn’t run to them to get th bag he ran to the white man he just brought the bag to the hood instead of the suburbs and started blessing his fellow black man
@@OGXIV In my opinion, it’s much deeper than that, but we can agree to disagree… Simple people believe all money is good money, but those who see the bigger scheme of things, know better, and do better… I’m not here to go back and forth tho… I send nothing but love and healing to my brothas, and sistahs that have not yet evolved, it’s a process. Have a blessed day😇
@@menace.5and that Kendrick was beating on Whitney? Dave free is the father? Drake get more love than Kendrick in his own city? We can keep going if you want brother..
@@cnp215 Kendrick admitted to being abusive on MMATBS.. everybody knew before he admitted. nobody just gave af enough to air it out. but the point you missing is they both said things that none of us really knows is true.
You’re right. Think back to when Drake mentioned YG on “Family Matters”. YG quickly responded and said don’t be putting my name out there like that. Then he responded to more times by being on stage with KDot on Juneteenth on that Ken & Friends Pop Out Concert. Then again he came out to be inthe “NOT LIKE US” music video. Not one ATL rapper has stood beside Drake since this beef nor have any one of them responded or post on social media since being mentioned on the last verse of “NOT LIKE US”. 1. They don’t want that smoke 💨 2. They don’t ride with Drake like that for real 3. You can’t deny the truth Kendrick Lamar spoke the truth on every song he put out there even “meet the grahams”. I still believe Drake is hiding another child. Drake is acting like a child. He should just accepted the loss and loved on. Jay Z did. Kool Moe Dee did. Canibus did. NWA did. It happens. Drake wants to continue to troll like b*#^# he should be tired but he’s still strikin’ cords and they’re probably A______________ RRRRRRRRRRRRRRs
They have to out in cali. Its a do what another nigga say culture out there. Nobody has a mind of their own. In atlanta we can do as we please. YG had to get in line
@@MrEOM41Drake’s “set up” makes no sense. Why would he lie about having an 11-year-old? Why would he try to play Kendrick about having a child that would’ve been conceived when they were on tour together 12 years ago? What dumb sense does that make? I don’t know if he has another kid or not, but his “we set you up” narrative is truly one of the most smoothed-brain takes I’ve heard in a long time.
I believe in Joe Budden's theory....they found out that drake makin $$ off all them and they arent. Even if not collabin. What other rapper getting $400mil deals out here but drake? 👀
Who else moving money who else is going on tour your not making a billion dollars booking shows the only other rapper going on tour is Kanye and he hasn't been as big in the arena for a while name another rapper making money
Atlanta rap artist have drake colabs coming up, 21 savage, lil baby and yachtys. Atlanta rappers ain't rockin with Kendrick like you think they are. 21 savage team drake Lil yachty team drake Lil baby team drake Lil Durk team drake
@@PeanutPeanut-c9vAnd that's why he called them out. Not because they're not “rocking” with him. I don't think Kdot cares; he made a valid observation that cannot be responsible refutted by none of them and that is sad. That is how we roll in Cali; we call ish out for what it is.
I was thinking the same too. Outside of Like That with Future and Metro, I think a lot of info K-Dot got was from ATL. It hit me in the 6:16 in LA line about about people around Drake hustling him. Most rappers are street smart. Of course, IMHO
The info came from Sza.. Remember Drake and Sza used to date..Sza is part of TDE..When Sza and Drake broke up she didn't run to the media she told Kendrick about Drake and next thing you know Kendrick and Sza came out with the song all stars explaining how sick Drake is
@@Fahtayne Thanks for response. Lot of moving parts. Question? Do you think Gambino diss of drake get any traction? Kendrick plan worked well and I wonder if Gambino would take the same route as Kendrick. Again Thanks for the response
Those Atlanta rappers were very smart to stay silent because there was no need for them to comment Kendrick spoke on their behalf and made his case compelling concise and crystal clear when your lawyer represents you there is no need for you to say anything they all knew that Kendrick spoke the undisputed truth and enough was said.
I agree. I hope new up and coming artists don’t let their essence be stolen by drizzler. They didn’t need to say anything, K-Dot covered them. Say Less 🙏🏽🙏🏽
People also ain't looking deep enough.. . Kings dead, kendricks song came out in 2016 "you're not a gang member YOUS a tourist " And future is on that song too
@@Indy_Pintyou being technical Daffy Duck.. they both on the song captain obvious!! KDOT can’t sneak diss on someone else song? Yes it possible 😂😂 drake fanboys has middle schoolers IQ.. it’s sad frfr
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING...however, those were compliments. He pointed out the source of Drake's club entry, upped lingo, fake slim-ism, etc. What are they going to say? "Yep, that happened?" 🤣🤣😅😂
imHUMBLEo… In the beginning there was Future and the big me feature on Like That. However like that was kinda like when Thanos snapped but in this case it was the subs that turned to dust… That, then being the ‘jump-off’ is something they had cooking for a looong time, and was actually to signify that we we’re in the endgame now, type shit. In hindsight, the majority of the Black Panther soundtrack, and more specifically the Grammy submission for nomination & subsequent winning of their first collab King’s Dead “you not a gang member, you a tourist”, were not all subtle, if not overt actions taking aim at aubrey graham. Yet, they weren’t explicitly direct either, but Drake said nothing, and we all missed that Draco shot or at best just got a clipped ear. A miss or a warning shot, don’t matter really, because next time was…🪦 So I figure it’s safe to say he was is and will be standing w/ Atlanta, as we all should. +Awareness All the Love & Blessings from West Virginia✌️
They're all cowards that'll play both sides of the fence. Like Puffy, nobody had anything to say about him until now! And they still seem scared to say anything about Puff! Except for 50
Bruh I said the same damn thing last week. And I'll go deeper than that... I feel Lebron & Curry told Adam silver to not let media ask them about the "MTG" verse.....
Had the same thought weeks ago. I think its because most of the time they are in the "get money zone' and dont even care or realize who they are dealing with to get it.
That's bcz they realized they've been played! All that time they though the ft was putting them on; however, NOW they know he was stealing their styles!
Just tells me that whether Drake thinks they’re friends or not they see work with him as strictly business. Savage the only one that defended him but we can’t say that’s genuine either.
Naw realtalk.. I think if really comes down to it. I’ll think 21 will pick Metro!! His best work was with him. The best of 21 came from metro. He don’t give af bout future or Kendrick.. but he didn’t throw no subs either towards KDOT
Those Atlanta rappers won't say anything about most topics . None of them are battle rappers . And if it's true they are working with the colonizer , so what does that make them? They made Atlanta hip hop look wack because while Kendrick highlighted the west coast on a world wide level . The Atlanta rappers didn't have the talent to even showcase Atlanta hip hop with lyricist. The drug gang culture of Atlanta is so divided that Atlanta rappers can't even unify like LA did.
21 tried. Keyword tried. And then constantly said "nah that bar wasn't at Kendrick, y'all crazy" while sweating.mad bullets. KDot was showing love to ATL, and rightfully pointed out Drake is just another person on the list of colonizers stealing from them.
All I got to say is bravo to future for lighting the match that started the fire! As to your question, Drake and Future are no longer cool. Atl rappers gotta live in the city with Future, so they’re going to stay silent. Even Yachty said he was getting off social media because fans are tearing him up!
Drake has a lot of transactional friendships or work with and help each other. Prob just didn’t want to pick a side if they ain’t involved or actually beefing…
They don’t need to respond because one it wasn’t a diss.. two 2chains did respond on I think twitter… three there’s nothing to respond to.. only one who may eventually say something is 21… but what can he say really… he’s a Brit. In a battle kdot would body him and on some street shit LA is not to be played wit.. a few of yall favorite rappers been bodied out here already…
I know during the beef 21 Savage brought out Drake during one of his concerts and made a tweet about ganging up on Drake. Can't remember if it was before or after Not Like Us though. And Quavo and Thug have their own issues. 😅
