I think Stuart Stevens is absolutely right. I think they need to spend the remaining time putting Biden back out there so he can override the image presented in this debate. I think Biden should admit he did a bad job and vow to win back people's trust. This was one debate that occurred five months outs. My other question would be, who would replace him? All of the names that were mentioned may be Democratic darlings but I don't think they have any greater chance than Biden if he fights back against the image. I think Democrats need to crank up the machine, push Biden's accomplishments and call out all of Trump's flaws and lies on a daily basis. Stop the hand wringing and get back to work!

I completely agree with Don and I love Joe Biden too. I think he should step aside. This was different than just losing a debate. It was lacking coherence, energy, focus from Biden. Its all about optics. If he is not willing to step aside, then he needs to go over and beyond to demonstrate that he has the energy and focus to fight hard.
