Nearly right. The prop washes up all sorts of food items. The fish have learned this and rather than being scared, they will feed in the wake of boats.
We used to put a spare mooring pin through the hole and then use that for extra traction. But when we (the public at large) have a chance meeting with you (a very special person) it makes us even happier.
My guess is that the Rum Wench was stirring up some food for your feathery friend. Maybe scaring some fish out of their hidey holes as you passed by that your friend took advantage of. Thanks for another one. Hope all is well. Take care.
You sure have the mechanics down of maneuvering a boat away from a shallow moorage. So many people want to DRIVE forward, like they drive a car, whereas a boat should be maneuvered usually in reverse since that's where the prop is. How cool about that cormorant! She obviously loves you. 🙂 She is now back behind you, in the water, bobbing along beside the towpath somewhere, bereft, and crying for your company and love. Sigh. Beautiful videos of cruising, beautiful music. I keep saying that but it keeps being true. Best to you and your mum and dad and Bonny too.
It's been interesting to follow your channel. During the early 1980's I was a volunteer at the Huddersfield Canal Society and was involved in raising money to reinstate the Saithwaite section and tidy up the Marsden to Leeds road section. I remember the folks involved in the Stannage tunnel cottages who moved it from a derelict building to a functional visitors centre while survey work was being completed on the tunnel itself. In 1988 I completed the counties ring which was great back then. In the very early 1990's my very lovely friend had a narrowboat moored in Skipton I used to use heaps on my way to the lake district :) Since then I moved to New Zealand and have not been back to the UK in over 20 years. It's amazing to see that so many use and live on the canal system today.
Hey Heidi & Bonnie. Thanks for your channel, your humour, stories and music. The Good Lady Wife and I enjoy watching from Mornington in Australia, always get a laugh and love the various locations you travel through. Here's a little ditty for you: Bonnie and Heidi They lived fairly tidy On the Rum Wench narrow boat. And cruising the cut Life was far from a rut .... The rum helped to keep them afloat
Thanks Lovely Heidi and Little Bonny, for taking us along on this sunny cruise with your new friend Mr Cormorant. It was great to see your Mum and Dad and all of the generous fans and I hope that you sold loads of your brilliant Pirate Bounty. Have a lovely weekend. Take care and all the best. Stevie
🙂lovely to see you with your mum and dad enjoying the sunshine and a glass of vino on the towpath. So nice to that they’re nearby for you both. (Meant to say this last week sorry 🙂) Have a lovely weekend, hugs to Bonny. 🙂🐿🌈❤️
I love fridays when we get another video from you, you are such a nice person Heidi love to Bonnie. Please dont cut your hair it looks fabulous it makes you look younger even though you are younger. Thanks again Heidi.
Arrrr Heidi. Really liked the new map graphics, and a new cute tiller pin. Glad to hear from the back cabin again. That fuel boat motor had a right handy beat going.
Loved your sunny days for trading... and the duck following was fun to watch! You represent & document this charming lifestyle so well...☠️🎉 Rrrrrrrrr! Great Ditty to Scott!
Another video of canal and boat life loveliness 🥰, bubbly Heidi , bonny, boats, booze, birds, banter, bonkersness and burbling engines of beautiful boats......totally brilliant. Thank you Heidi you make Thursday's the brightest day of the week.😃.........and .....what WAS Rosie doing to Jim!! 🤣🤣. Take great care and stay safe and well.😊
Another lovely visit for me great to see Heidi and Bonny again lovely to see all them friendly people enjoying the sun with you. best wishes to all take care
Heidi I think you should buy a kid pool noodle. Cut it to fit your opening that you get bruised on. You could remove it when you are not on the move. It would be a cheap fix.
Good day Heidi and Bonny, Heidi, one quick request. Would you continue to show, on your vlogs, the map of where you expect to go. The little ship on the map, that represents the Rum Wench, is adorable. It really helps, those of who do not know Britain where you are. Wishing you many days ahead of sunshine and blue skies. Mark Alberta, Canada
What a lovely day and the place where you moored is gorgeous 😍 so wish I could but I love watching and I pretend I'm there❤ well love sweet dreams, and safe travels your friend from Orlando 🏝 ❤
I’m so late watching. Grandma duty with my precious grandson Lucas. Wonderful sunny days for you and Bonny. You are easy to love Heidi and your adventures bring me happiness. Thank you and cheers.
Beautiful areas you went through Heidi and another market, thanks for that, love seeing the canal markets. We’re off to the pub for tea, hell it’s cold so I’ll be rugged up. Cuddles for beautiful Bonny, take care and see you next week. 🥰
You've been having a great week by the looks of it. The courmorant had a great day fishing and Bonny got something fun to watch on the trip. All in all a perfect day.
Bonny loved boat life from the first day I got her… it’s just her social skills lacking, however she is coming along very well but can also still be a bugger 🤣🤣
There we go… the start of my weekend and Heidi is discussing fisting at 18:00 on a Thursday! Love it! Great episode! Love the new music & graphics!! “Not in front of everyone…” It is just TOO FUNNY!!! Have a fab weekend!!!
Lovely to see you both enjoying the sunshine for a change. Nice video and good to see the Oakwood Marina doing what they do, so well. You'll be popping in there again I suspect. Have a good week!! John x
One of the few sunny weekends this year. It makes so much difference. Little Bonnie is so cute on the back of the boat watching everything going by. She has just taken to canal life so well but all dogs seem to love the outdoors life.
Great vlog again, what are you like? First i was afraid, i was petrified you were gonna split y’r difference, then you were up Dawn’s crack, down the beer boat for wine, up at Kraken’s and all while trading pirate goods! Bonnie on the booze off camera and having to cope with toys twice her size! Lols, it was a gooden, cheers!❤️🐕💪
Nice to see that you are having some nice weather. Really interesting that the cormorant decided to follow you. Maybe it wanted to join the crew. Thanks for sharing. Be well and stay safe. 😊
Great video again Heidi. So glad we are back in the rear entrance. Love the poems. Bonny was such a good girl with that bird that was following you. Not even a bark👏🏻👏🏻❤️🏴☠️
Your videos are excellent I’m always sitting on the edge of my seat watching I was on the locks in New York State Oneida lake one time we had a 40 foot cabin cruiser love that life lots of fun you’re a great person❤❤❤
A very much needed break. After a month or more of too much sun. (lots of forest fires and smoke) we are having too much English weather. You helped me put off clean up in a most pleasant way Thank you!
So there I was.... Sat in my local bar.... in South Corfu Greece and there was a bottle of "dead mans fingers" rum. Of course I had to try a couple of glasses of it... Cheers Heidi from Agios Georgios... ❤
Fun episode Heidi, I’m so glad you finally got some good weather for trading. Your infinite patience with dear Bonnie has certainly paid off, she’s an adorable little girl.
Wow Heidi darlin what a spectacular opening shot and the Pizza Bar place too with friendly folk as well, just your kind of place .Al in all a very nice video that only you could make. Busy today doing laundry and bloody ironing I hate that job but I like my Chinos with sharp creases..I hope the sales were good in the sun.dont spend all your profits with the neighbours. Nice to see your Mum and Dad again ,do you still have your electric bike he fixed up for you? A bit jealous of your weather as we've had heavy rain and thunderstorms ,the tail end of Hurrricane Beryl. so take care lots of love ,till next time XXX
Aww fabulous to hear from you Ralph, I’m so glad you are doing well, yes I have still my little bike …. Stay safe I them storms 😃❤️🏴☠️ be fab to see you over on patron sometime as I post regular updates and we have little live chats sometimes which would be fab to have you there 😃😃🥃🏴☠️
Ahh ha both me hearties. Bonny 1st mate and Chief Pirate Heidi; upon the problem or reversing and bruises, you need a padded wotsit/pad affixed to the offending wood surround so your arm meets a soft landing instead of an unrelenting piece of oak. Your prop must be churning up the scrummy eaties to be scooped up by your new found friend the Cormorant.
Hasn't Bonny improved with other dogs? Such a good girl! I like the camping option at the marina, although I'd probably be skint very quickly with beer and pizza on tap 😂😂 Stay safe and happy both of you 😘
