My guess is that whatever the game does to invert the colors adds a blue tint on top of it (or an orange tint before). They probably did this to get a certain feel from the inverted colors even when the original colors wouldn't match that feel. a good way to see if I'm right would be to see what color Megaman or Sonic are when in the inverted state

I just checked with Mega Man, and with the double inversion, he does still appear to be blue, just with a substantial reddish tint on top of the screen. So yeah, that seems to be what's going on.

The reason the red (or blue) filter is applied is likely to reduce eye strain. No, seriously. Look at Animal Crossing's game art on the inverted home screen. Now imagine that being across the whole screen for only a few frames. However, by adding a huge amount of red (or blue) hue before (or after) the inversion, it greatly reduces the amount of contrast between differently coloured assets and thereby reduces the level of eyesore from the inversion flash. That is my assumption anyway.

Regarding the inverted colors during DK’s final smash, the reason why the double inversion doesn’t look quite right is because there’s a blue tint overlay put on top of the effect to heighten that inverted feel. It’s easiest to see this around 12:32 when both the in game inversion and the Switch inversion are almost right after one another, you’ll notice the in game version is distinctly blue

In the in-game camera there is an inverted colors filter that turns it back to normal

For the inverted fact it’s simple it’s just a differently shaded during the inverting probably to add more distinct colours

I think the reason on why the inverted colors don't go back to normal is because they both use a separate color layer. The final smash is almost fully red, however if we go to the assist trophy it looks pseudo normal. The characters seem to have their appropriate colors once the screen does go inverted, just a bit more red. This implies that the color layer for the assist trophy is about the same as the one used in the Switch itself, while DK's final smash uses a different color layer.

I think the Ridley lava glitch might have something up do with types of lava? Maybe some lava is also considered ground and some is not, and it only works if Ridley is considered grounded at the same time as he's put into the animation of the interrupted neutral b. Would be hard to test, so it's just a theory. A GAME-

Ridley's one is probably related to the type of lava, when invincible you can walk on lava on Great Cave Offensive, Super Mario Maker and Custom Stages, you can't on Norfair same with the acid on Brinstar.

Myth: When you fight as Sora in Stamina Battle (HP battles) and win, you get the special effect before it says "Game!" However, it doesn't do that when you use Sora's Final Smash to defeat your opponent

If you play as Ice Climbers in squad strike and final smash then die. Once the final smash ends the mist from the final smash will remain. I tested this on FD and Battle Field and it worked both times.

You can use another Final Smash during Wii Fit Trainer’s Final Smash. More specifically you can use one like Dr. Mario’s during the final part of Wii Fit Trainer’s with the giant yoga pose. My guess is it’s a leftover oversight from Smash 4 when there was no giant finisher.

I think I found a little visual glitch with Ike. I clanked my forward smash against like f-smash and then got hit by a link f-tilt straight after, and Ike had the blue fire sword from his neutral b/down b. I might have tried to do down b straight after the clank but got hit out, but I’m not really sure

I found something interesting. If you use mii gunners up air at the right time in the test section of the mii maker the sandbag will go flying. I find that using the C-Stick to use up air is more consistent and you have to jumps slightly higher than the sandbag.

Mega mushrooms and timers don’t affect the combo counter, you can also use exeggutor as a wall to hold yourself in place (as long as it doesn’t touch the opponent mid combo) it’s really useful for increasing the global combo counter on your record without really having to do anything too over the top.

In the camera feature there’s an inverted colour filter, if you look at a capture taken by that in inverted colours it is *almost* normal

Fact: If you set the body to “metal” in custom smash, the character’s eyes will be covered in gray. However, if you look closely, you can still see mario’s blinking animation.

Facts I found: He has a different rumble to other characters The rumble for his up smash is the same as obtaining a smash ball The colour of the arrow in his side special changes depending on player, but the target symbol doesn't for some reason In classic mode, you can only get the 'perfect' thingy if you don't use any moves that hurt yourself - so pichu perfect is nigh impossible P5 Sora doesn't have a joker side b animation

Not sure if anyone else said this but when you play as sora vs shedinja's spirit. Doing a throw where it would "kill" him would activate the flash but after it happens, it'll return to normal with the sounds gone. Only the music will be playing

Question: Sometimes Ganondorfs side B drags the opponent through a plattform while Ganon lands on the platform. This also happened on the ledge to me once, was a nice kill (forgot to record it). Why does this happen?

I don't know if this is only for specific battles (I did it in a spirit fight against the golden jiggy from the banjo dlc pack) but when ending it as sora using his forward smash it played had the same ending as when you would complete a boss in kingdom hearts. Like, the little shine and the screen showing a dynamic shot of the final blow to the boss from the original game. Might only be for stamina battles since the spirit was one. Just did a bit of testing, it's whenever you end a stamina battle with one of Sora's attacks

I'm not sure if this was covered, Burma I randomly found this out while testing things with Steve. If Steve hits his own Minecart and breaks it with his own attack, usually with a tool, he will get the Iron back from the Minecart.

About the inverted colors. one time I watched a youtube video on my switch of someone playing splatoon 2 with inverted colors so i decided to invert my switch colors and it was normal. Maybe smash bros used a different shade or colors for the inverted affect?

I genuinely don't understand how people can advertise for Raid when they have so much bad shit going on. While inverts can cancel each other out in this situation you are inverting and then inverting the invert and because of how colors work the invert isnt perfect so it doesnt go back to normal. If that made any sense

You can see an interesting perspective on Mishima Dojo by firing Dragoon at the top of the playable area. I did it while the opponent was on the respawn platform. It showed the top of the roof. Even the pause camera can’t see it in normal circumstances.

I think the reason why the “speed pummel” works is because the pikmin hit whoever is pummeling, therefore canceling the move, so they can attack again. The reason for this not happening to Kazuya is because he has super armor on like every freaking move.

Likely you won’t see this, but since Pyra&mythra are my main I’ve noticed something when they take someone stock. If you it someone with pyra hard enough to ko them, but switch to mythra before the ko happens, it will count as a stock taken by mythra and not pyra (even if pyra was the one that did the finishing hit) Obviously work the other way around and probably the same for Pokémon trainer (may be the same for samus/ZSsamus and Zelda/shiek in brawl&melee)
