"Does Friday Night Funkin' hold up in 2024?" I mean yeah it's still a fun and quirky little indie rhythm game. The issue is the modding community has completely and utterly overshadowed it in terms of content and quality. Like, the main game has SO FUCKING MUCH to much to live up to, It's actually insane.
The base game will always be my favourite. Very few mods have managed to capture the original games feel for me. The whacky, kinda scuffed sprites, are all so charming to me and I still wait eagerly for the full game.
Most mods just sound like they use the exact same instruments and because most of them go for high speed songs which makes the melodies sound the exact same.

Senpai's dialogue, and the entire formula of that week still to this day is like the entire foundation of most mods out there it's insane how well it holds up
Official game has this kinda feeling when you come back to it, you just feel hyped. When next update will come out, it won't matter the vibe will be present and everyone will enjoy it. Hopefully. Besides, don't they want to add a few Erect remixes in the next update as well as Week 8? I don't remember.

Pico and BF are Exs, that's why Pico spares bf in week 3, Daddy Dearest didn't even give a description of the target, he just gave a spot to Pico where the target was going to be. In week 7 Pico was sent by MM and DD to confirm the location of Bf's corpse (if he died, ofc).
I really hope that like as an easter egg if you 100 percent all the songs on the hardest difficulty you at least get to hear them actually funking by the end of it because that would be so funny
One of the things I love about the base game's songs is that they don't use a chromatic scale for the characters. The voices change specifically for every part of the song, so they feel WAY more dynamic. The perfect example is Pico's week. I swear to god Blammed sounds like no other FNF song I've ever heard and that's thanks to the dynamic voices both of the singers have. That's a thing I dislike about erect remixes is that they mix BF's dynamic voice with an actual chromatic and they clash really hardly. They made the game. They can make the erect remixes tie into the songs perfectly but they choose not to. Just a weird choice overall

When monster was in the files and no one knew how to chart it, there was a chance it would show in the freeplay with minimal notes, as there wasn't much of a chart yet. It happened in school for me.
@@Ash31108 Pretty much the same for me except that the songs I can't FC are MILF and roses. Got very close on MILF ,only missing 1 note but on roses I just can't process that weird down-left-right combo (or the one before it)
16:15 people have managed to replicate and reverse engineer Pico's voice filter to remove it from the song, it's pretty interesting to hear! As a suggestion for a future fnf video, how about checking out B-Sides Redux? Ever since that initial version they've redone weeks 1 and 2 so far and added week 7 (they're still working on remaking weeks 3-6 but the older versions are in freeplay with some much better charts than they had back then), in my opinion some of them are better than the original songs and I bet you'd love the new ending section they added to Stress

Honestly the songs in the original FNF are better than in any mod made in the past like 2 years. They genuenly sound bad. If anyone cares,my top 5 songs are: 1.High 2.Roses 3.MILF 4.Eggnog 5.Guns And least favs: 19.Winter horroland 20.Cocoa 21.Monster
