@@WutuvetI work in corporate. People are nasty, regardless. Just learn to talk shit in a way HR won't have to speak to you lolol. Most people don't live the life they want out of fear and scarcity. And that's the angle I hit folks with when they talk shit to my face.
when I first got out of the US Army everything was super easy to do because everything in civilian life is easy compared to the Army. I unfortunately for a few years just took advantage of past gains until those gains were lost, but when I hit my low I looked back and asked how did I get here. I saw 3 big things that the Army does to make a persons life better. 1. They force you to own less stuff, this minimizes distractions. 2. They keep you in very good shape. 3. They force you to do hard things. So, what I decided to do is to try pretend that I had a Drill Sergeant yelling at me anytime I was trying to wimp out, and guess what? Life got much easier again. I think everyone needs to find that inner voice that will yell at them "Drop and give me 30"
Dude is dropping wisdom. Guys. Don't chase women. Work on yourself and they will chase you. It's 100% true. Women want ambitious men. Guys who know what they want and where they are going. I wish I had learned this when I was 20 vs 47.
In my experience *Primarily* - women prefer MONEY *Secondary & tertiary* - Your Personality, Upbringing Muscles YOU. Or may be I'm just attracting or get smitten by very wrong women
@@lavatr8322There’s a minimum standard for all areas. Most women just want a decently attractive person who is enjoyable to be around and makes pretty good money. Maxing out one area is usually a trap.
@@lavatr8322 money dont mean shit lavatr i dont got much money i get women its about how you present yourself bro besides if you have game js bro besides that change your self esteem bro js i aint acting like i am better then you ider
This is because I’m your 20s, most women don’t really reward this: working on yourself, ambition etc. they’re still young and getting hit on by so many men of all ages all the time. In their 30s, the amount of men looking for them diminishes substantially and they start to reward those qualities you now have at 47. It’s an interesting thing.
The holy trinity of hard work/working out, eating like a beast and copulating like a beast. It's a great place to be. I notice I'm also getting a bit more serious about it again, but at 44 it turns out you can't just do everything at once. So easing into more strength work now on top of volume work. Volume does the body a lot of good and can quickly improve musculature, but without intensity it pleateaus fairly quickly too.
100% truth. I was never “jacked,” but I was athletically thin and am conventionally good looking when in decent shape. I would legit have girls cat call me at times. Blew my mind. People in general just treated me nicer. Then I was in a motorcycle accident and jacked up my back. Sidelined me for quite a while. I ended up putting on over 50 pounds. After that, people treated me like a leper. I’m now on a journey to fix myself to get that high back.
Same thing bro I'm recovering from open heart surgery and dropped 35lbs and been stacking gains now. Everyone notices and is like omg your heart works now! It's a great feeling right? It's addicting really. Let's get it!
You absolutely can buy it. Steroids or just HGH will make fat burning and muscle growth superior to a natural working out 3 - 4 days a week, by simply being mildly active, not even weight lifting. On top of that, testosterone makes work FEEL GOOD. Which is a very good reason to train naturally, but if you inject, you WANT to lift, you LOVE to lift and it's the easiest thing in the world if you know what you're doing to feel instantly amazing. Better than cake and junk food, but also can shorten life. Lift naturally but consider TRT in later life.
You can kind of inherit it as well. No one is born jacked, but some have the genetics to build a decent physique fairly quickly without really optimizing their training.
I inherited AMAZING genes. I'm 6'4" and naturally put on muscle easy, but don't put on fat easily. I eat junk food in my 40s and sodas, and still look VERY fit with a TINY amount of lifting and ZERO cardio. You TOTALLY can inherit genetic advantages.
@@joshua-nf3rx Not really. Look at it like this… in order to build a successful business, you have to build a successful business owner. So in both bodybuilding and business building, you have to develop self.
I can agree to an extent. The discipline and perseverance it takes to build a physique can also be applied to business. But you're guaranteed to a great physique with enough time and effort, where as you aren't guaranteed to a successful business no matter how long you try. Regardless, you'll never succeed if you don't even try so don't let the fear of failure stop you.

I have officially been working out for a year, my business is getting better, and my eating cleaned up. I’ve never felt this good in my entire life. Keep it up anyone who is just starting out still going!
All you said is so so true, I pretty much did the same thing. My life was an absolute mess, dropped out of uni 3 times!!! Was just a mess without any direction. I found the gym in my most depressed time, stumbled a few times but I have started being extremely consistent. 14years later I am in the best shape, super naturally jacked, get a RIDICULOUS amount of attention from both men and women CONSTANTLY. Married two kids and very comfortable financially. And it all started with the gym sorting out my head. Today I work out no less than 5 times a week. To me it’s progressed from looking good to a mental health thing. Everything just is better when I workout. I take on very difficult tasks and a demanding job n family and still have a ton of energy in the tank to spare. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥
please STOP making shit up lol. NOBODY looks at you CONSTANTLY, your own little ego just thinks you are that good. these videos are filled with same comments from different people (or bots ?) it's hilarious
The funniest reaction i get is from other men with their women. The insecure ones will notice me before their girl does and then desperately try to get their girls attention until I walk away or pass. They will out of no where put their arm around them, kiss them, make them laugh, anything to keep their eyes off me its fucking hilarious how often it happens
Hi! I love your message and honesty. It took me a long time to ignore people Who are jealous for when you are doing well for yourself and when people see that you are motivated they find it easier to bring you down instead of fixing themselves. I love self development and glad to know that there are others out there who have the same perspective
Getting jacked does change your life, but fewer people treat you differently, and more so, YOU perceive yourself through a completely different lens. You feel more confident and more comfortable in your own skin, this translates to your day to day interactions with others. Most people are not gonna see you with your shirt off, but you are gonna know what's under that shirt at all times of the day.
If you are not able to see your muscles with your shirt on , you are not working the right muscles Muscles that women are most attracted to (they convey power because they are powerful) are the Yoke muscles: Shoulders, traps, back, neck, forearms, upper chest, glutes. People treated me completely differently than when I was skinny to physically fit... especially in a country where over 50% are grossly overweight.
At 265lbs muscular currently I only attract men 🤣 vs when I was lean at 215lbs but I felt like a skinny b*tch. I like having some size! Thus guy on video is far from being jacked! Andrew Jacked is Jacked @Cbum is Jacked in my opinion not thus dude!!!
@@imdannymartins male definition of muscular is different than female. They like different muscle groups, including: the shoulders, glutes, neck, forearms, traps, back, upper chest.
Another good video James! I started training after high school around 20. (1988) It was not main stream then, but getting in shape made my life 10X better. I did get a lot of "hate" back then, "your vain, your selfish", etc. Still enjoying all of the benefits now. 💪
I dug myself out of a deep clinical depression at the age of 19/20 starting with exercise. Cardio got the ball rolling. Then I started caring about nutrition and weight loss. Absolutely changed the course of my life. Eat, move and breathe with mindfulness.
It also strengthens heart and overall condition of I may ask this. A controversial situation at work or elsewhere can be mastered much easier than entering it even in bad shape.
Thank you so much for the reminder. It's true that being physically fit / athletic attracts the attention of others (not only the opposite sex / same sex depending on sexual orientation), but reinforces the strength within you, and helps to calm down the bullshit inside your head that you are not capable of anything. My body transformation has been significant in the last 2 years, and it does pay off. When you know that you won't die after 30 push ups in a row, other things like getting the job you want, going for that side project, booking that flight, having that difficult conversation with a friend/relative, asking that girl out regardless of the outcome, are things that not the end of the world because you assess them vs the strength of your mind and body (and soul?). Thank you for the insights James.
I appreciate most about this video that you're humble about the gains, realistic about the actual benefits, and are forward about the need for well roundedness
James subbed right away. So glad I came across you. Your genuineness came across right away. My stories opposite yours. I went from fat to extremely fit and jacked. One of the surprising things I experienced was not only way more positive attention from girls but girls also being more rude and difficult in order to test your confidence. This especially happened at work. I’d have half the girls at work being flirty and blushy with me and then a few girls at work out of nowhere being disrespectful. But later on you’d see them get flustered if I got close. You don’t just intimidate men you intimidate some women and they respond by testing your confidence. I’d love to hear your experiences
@@ceb2-1981 Yes, When this happened on a scale. The fitter I got and the better looking I got the hotter the women that responded to me. At first it was gay guys and unattractive girls and then it eventually became 10s. I in my whole life had never been the cute guy at work or school. The amount of attention I got was unreal
@@ceb2-1981 I just actually heard the actorJensen ackles talk about this. Jensen ackles on a podcast talked about how much of a bitch Jessica alba was to him when he joined her show dark angel. He didn’t understand why she was so mean to him when he was the new cast member talkjng down to him about being pretty boy and etc.. but when he started standing up to her and giving it back to her she started warming up to him and then eventually inviting him to her house when she was alone and her bf was out of town. He later said it hit him that she may of not been inviting him over just to be friends lol. When he talked to a guy friend about it later he said Jessica most likely was intimidated by him/liked him. He Sakd from then on he realized when girls acted like this he took it as they liked him not taking it literally as they hated him. You get more tests as you get more attractive and by hotter women. This was my experience too.
"..You get some results, and you realize that you have the power, you're in control" This right here is such a powerful message. For me this happened a bit backwards. I was playing video games, a particularly hard video game specifically. In that video game there was a particularly difficult challenge. Insanely challenging. It took months and months of practice and dedication. I broke my controller and injured the joints in my hands and fingers due to the stress I was putting on them. In the end, when I finally managed to completed the goal I had set up for myself, something in my head just clicked. It was such an empowering moment, realizing what insane achievements I were capable of if I set my mind to it and just were dedicated enough. I realized that If I were able to do this, in a video game, what's stopping me from doing something similarly extreme elsewhere? This is what inspired me to be more serious with working out and building my physique. I'm now in my 30s, I'm healthier than what I've ever been and I've recently gotten actual visible abs. I'm well on my way to get a defined 6-pack for the first time in my life.
one of the best ways to get rid off stiffness in the body is running or sprinting, or playing soccer or basketball, but to completely get rid off it is doing that regularly
Randomly came across this video, and wow such a great video filled with amazing wisdom. "don't get distracted by the temptations if you're not there yet" wow this was some wild advice that I needed to hear. Thanks brother.
Unfortunately the fact that look "intimidating" has caused me to be super lonely and detached from the rest of society. So stuck in my routines now I don't know anything else. Back when I started lifting, bodybuilders were thought of as dumb meatheads; now I feel like I get respect anywhere I go for seemingly no reason. Sometimes I wish I would have a bigger social life, but at the end of the day, I have been training my ass off for almost half my life in order to look the way I do. Not sure if this obsessive lifestyle is something to necessarily strive for...There is more to life than being an absolute machine.
I can speak with experience on this, probably more so than the guy making this video because I've been the extremes!! In my 51 years on this planet, I've been morbidly obese and single digit bodyfat and ALL people treat you different, treat you better when you are in shape. Shouldn't be that way, but sadly it is. Since I have been on both sides of this, I try to treat all people the same regardless of whether you are overweight or in shape.
I like how you talked about the jealousy part. I lived it too but as a woman and it was hard for me to understand because I don't think like that. It hurts and I can't help but think that I'm doing something wrong sometimes, but I remind myself to keep doing what makes me feel good and be kind to everyone, if someone doesn't like me and I haven't treated them badly that's on them
Couldn't have said it better myself James. I somewhat experienced the same thing however from a perspective of business first. Over covid I just hunkered down and focused on business as I essentially was sitting around doing nothing over this time. I missed a lot of meals and didnt really look after my health due to spending so much time on my business. Now my business is at a point where it can run autonomously so the past year and a half I have focused on getting into shape. Going from a skinny kid to muscular has definitely awarded me in both good and bad attention and definitely more attention from the ladys.
Congratulations on getting the business runs on its own and good luck in your body Transforming journey, any advice for someone that trying to get into making my own busines? Am trying to work for 2 years in companies to observe how they work then proceed to make my own
Just came across this video. Down to earth guy, worked his way back from a painful period in his life and lays some wisdom out in a straightforward way. Top bloke. 👍
My favorite part of what you said is that there is no short cut to getting in shape, and it can not be bought. That, and getting in shape teaches you discipline that you are able to apply in all areas of your life.
Truth truth and more truth. Gone from overweight, jobless, unsuffrable marriage to divorced (with girlfriend), fit, objectives, people respecting me, building my empire. I'm making sure my kid stays on the path. Your message is so important to every man!!
"You normalize doing hard things", definitely! Spent my 20s and 30s as a barfly. Started working out in my early 40s, now I'm feeling great being muscular and filling out shirt sleeves. Wish I started at your age. Go for it. Sleep when you're tired, wake up early with no alarm. Eat whole foods - eggs, meat, fish, milk, whole carbs, veg, some fruit. Lift heavy but avoid injury. Make the sacrifices and reap the rewards.
@@madhusudanI really appreciate your comment honestly.I’m turning 22 and started a carnivore lifestyle 2 weeks ago, loving it so far, going to start in the gym and heading into a great paying career.I don’t think you guys realize how much us younger guys appreciate your perspectives and maybe even some regrets, cheers to you mate, wish you the best in life and never stop hitting that gym, never too late to look/ feel great.
You mentioned that working out, gives you confidence. It certainly does also change your mindset on approach a certain challenge. All those mental blocks and obstacles that you put up on yourself go away because you put yourself through a little bit of discomfort and you find out that you can get through more than you thought you could and like you said you’re OK with taking more risk because if you fail, you already have it in you to be able to bounce back.
It’s also challenging when you have a girlfriend. The attention never stops and as a man I have to withstand the urge to fall into that lust out of loyalty for the woman that I love. Idk about you guys but no matter how much I love somebody I will still have taht urge to follow thru when a girl falls into my lap on DM or in person.
If you are muscular but ugly, it changes absolutely nothing .. 10-15% bodyfat, 6ft or 6ft2 , jacked , lean , good grooming hygiene ... but bad face ? This is my case and the case of some of my friends. Muscles do not buy the true attraction of women unfortunately
This is going in my daily watch list. I'm going to be starting every day on the trails listening to this guy. It's not necessarily new information but it is something that we're constantly distracted from in the day today. Just goes to show a man 's real assets are number one his attention and number two his physique. And like you said a physique is so valuable because you cannot buy it, and it is such a rewarding way that you can invest in yourself.
Good stuff James. You seem motivated and humble at the same time. Ive been lucky to have traveled the world for over 20 years and had a great job at the same time. Unfortunately, envy and jealousy are consequences come with that. I had carpet tunnel surgery and im cleared to lift weights now. Ill take your advice and hit that gym with a good diet. Cheers.
Started training hard about 4 months ago at age 39, after a lifetime of steady alcohol/gaming/women/decadence/egoism/bad food/debauchery/laziness. No education to speak of, fairly high IQ, comfy but low-mid paying job. Been fairly lucky with genetics, so all fat was/is around my gut. Only physical activity was 15 years of skateboarding (up until about age 26) but after that it was only living for the path of least resistance and maximum comfort. Constant anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, stressed out all the time, not feeling like an adult, waiting for life to happen. I also hated the gym with the fire of a thousand suns. I started working out without the motivation to do so, simply because I thought it couldn't hurt and that it would help me mentally - and now I wish I had started doing it in my 20's instead. My alcoholic mind is starting to clear (without going completely sober, just drinking less often), muscle is starting to grow/show, belly is slowly going away together with anxiety and depression, self-esteem shows up on occasion and stress is going down. It's incredible how effective it is if you just stick with it for the first 2-3 weeks. Life goals now is getting jacked while also getting a substantial amount of money, except I have no idea how to do that yet. The difference is that now it feels possible. If anyone reads this and has any tips on how to earn a normal living 100% online, please let me know. My wish is to be able to work from anywhere, once that is achieved then I'll consider my life a success.
What people seem to forget is that brain health is the most important. It's not your successes or failures or getting jacked, travel or be a working nomad. Or whatever goal you might have. Exercise and clean food will help extensively but it's indirect. Flexing your mind when things turn worse is how you stay healthy and adapt. It's next level.
@@pieter9058 Any tips on how to do this? I just don't know where to start finding something to earn from online yet. Once I find something relatively safe, I'll go for it.

I don't own it one just been in it and don't leave now just because i enjoy hanging with the crew live on RU-vid. Look for videos by Andrew, Mike, and Brendan. They all have their own channels as well as Team Alpha. Simple strategy you can learn very quickly. You wait for the setup, you take your position. Great message! And relatable back story, probably gives a lot of appreciation for your journey out. I had similar problems, heart issues since 28 and I started mountain biking, fit now even though heart issues remain. It’s at least mentally a far better way of life to conquer hard things and build yourself into something you have self respect for. And yes peoples first impression is 100% changed, rich people and women all have respect for someone if they’re in that 1% of fitness. And definitely jealousy from people in their negative who don’t want to know that it wasn’t easy. I find that self drive and having a sport that you’re passionate about are all the motivation that’s needed.
This is a very human conversation. You brought up some very good points... especially the one on food consumption. If taken a little further you can see that being fit requires more energy expenditure and consumption-and there is a fine line. Also, fitness should be seen as a foundation, as you mentioned, not a total absorption of identity. We can easily become too wrapped up in the image of our bodies if we do not see that we are doing it. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck to you.
This so true in my mid 30s I started getting back in shape after my son was born. And man wmi did get in better shape than I was in my 20s and wow everyone does treat you different and they act differently. Good and bad but it's mostly positive. Soo true.
This was especially enjoyable, thank you. The thing I note beyond some well-balanced observation is that your ability to speak clearly, without repetition, or excessive umming and ahhing is a very clear indication that your lifestyle has contributed to brain function.
Hey man, thanks for the video and advices. I can say that after struggling a lot those las years (divorce, the dead of my parents, economical problems, etc...) I lost 20 kg through discipline, diet and starting gym. I can say that I am on a youney to improve myself and it is paying off. I am healthy, business are going better, etc... You said it, anyone can do it, age and health problems are just a justification to not do the hard things we have to do.
I been lifting for 2.5 years. Started at 40.......people treat you different. I'm not even roided or on TRT. Just whey and creatine and fill in t shirts better. Everyone treats you with just a little more respect, and women are nicer to you.
I was an alcoholic drinking 1.75 l of rum every 3-4 days. Hiding it from everyone except my family. My wife and my 17 year old son finally called me out and said i need to make a plan or i was going to lose everything. I went back yo the gym after 20 years of just working jobs. Started a serious diet, supplementation, workout program and not looking back. Already seeing positive reaults and rebuilding my relationships. GET AFTER IT BOYS. NO EXCUSES FROM THE CHIEF OF SINNERS.
It’s funny because when I am lean bulked I seem to get eyes from women more than when I am jacked. I am fairly tall (6’4’’) and I think being jacked makes me look too lanky. But when I am lean bulked (I never let myself get above 20% bf), women always tell me I look better. I can tell they mean it too. I think being extremely jacked is overrated. I think some dudes look better with more muscle and a bit higher bf, but not “fat”.
Good grounded advise. I would had that just being in shape by doing a discipline you like will help too.Since we live in a superficial world, being jack will draw attention like you said, just by looking. Same as we men look at women.
this is a good conversation to have, if you feel lost just working on your health is something we can all do and that is often a stepping stone. the important thing is just doing something
I definitely agree that fitness is best coming from a place of improving yourself, more so than trying to look a certian way to impress other people. If you've been into fitness long enough you don't get any kind of rush from getting certian looks from people, it just becomes ordinary and the thrill goes away, then you're left with.. why am I really putting in all this work. If it's for yourself, it will last.. after you're married for years.. raise a family.. and have zero reason to seek attention.. if you've been staying fit for yourself, it just lasts far longer (IMO).
My parents are in their 60’s and in terrible shape. I’d tell them what they need to do to get in better health, but felt hypocritical because I knew I wasn’t in the best shape either. Figured maybe the best way to motivate them was to fix myself first. In 3 months I dropped 35 pounds, first time getting under 200 pounds in a over a decade, and now feel great. Hoping by doing this it motivates them, so they extend their life expectancy. Even if it doesn’t help motivate them, it’s a good thing that I got healthy, as I have a wife and 3 kids who I want to live a long life for too.
Getting jacked has a massive impact on my emotions. Made me more aggressive, assertive. That’s because of the boost in testosterone. Crazy what changes occurred. But over time I’ve learned how to control it
Loved your video, thanks for creating it! I've been sick for over a month and fell off the bandwagon but this video gave me that initial motivation to keep going back. I can only agree, I'm 6'5, half black and quite big, men are often intimated and try to start fights but only when drunk otherwise they don't dare and have huge respect.
Going through divorce, was devastated which led to loosing too much weight, woke up one day and decided to change. Put on good amount of muscle and you are right people treat you different but still a little to go to get jacked and can’t wait
I train because it helps me come out of or stay out of depression it’s the only medicine that truly works for me . This is the main reason I train and 2nd is to be all round healthy . The women and respect are just a bonus . Train for you not for the last 2 reasons I mention as if you train for the wrong reasons it’s going to be temporary and you won’t train hard enough 👍🏽
My wife had fibromyalgia for years and had tons of doctors try to fix it. We lucked out and found a chiropractor that happened to be a certified nutritionist. He suggested she take an “alcat” food allergy test. She did a food elimination diet for a year and she no longer has symptoms. “Let food be the medicine”.
It's absolutely true that focusing on your physical fitness first will then influence every other avenue of your life. I'm currently experiencing that journey. Well said.
@@james.sweetland That's because in actual fact a lot of this is beyond personal control. Which is why many more 'small businesses' fold than ever succeed. There are of course simpler money-making activities, like 'influencer' or reselling junk from Chinese factories etc, which adds very little to the public purpose, but at least they get to go online and declare themselves a financial success.
Inaction is very harmful. The world keeps spinning, and you do nothing to improve your position in life. Yet, unconsciously, you think about it, and that makes you feel miserable. Joe Rogan is also very short, but was a comedian. Having a sense of humor makes a lot of difference, even when you are short. Bald is not that important, I am saying that from being experienced of being bald myself. Women find it sexy, but than at the same time get ashamed because of the sexiness of bald men. A good reason to look for a nice hat. Train humor. Much material is published on it through history. You than are, in many cases, be more attractive than tall men.
@@somedude5951 kinda sad reality that if youre short you have to resort to being funny in order to have the self acceptance being more attractive or likeable than tall people

Men who do that and cherish their wife always get treated bad and cheated on. Even if you stay in great shape and are successful you will get cheated on and left if you make your wife the center of your world. Men must plow ahead and seek excellence daily. Your woman will come with you. You can’t be going with her.
It's the total package that counts. If you're jacked but live in the basement of your moms house, no that's not gonna fly. No car, shitty car, bland car, nope. Not saying it needs to be a Lambo but you gotta show some margin, show that you know what's happening in the world. And yes, you can have a "beach vehicle" but hey, try to have something nice as well. Having money and being able to afford what others can't scores a lotta points with the girls, after-all they wanna know you can take care of them or handle a threat while out and about. Take care of your appearance, dress well, have some nice shirts, not t-shirts all the time. Clothes matter to chicks. I don't see any homeless guys with runway models hangin' on to their arms, do you?!?!? Exude confidence, not arrogance. Have a sense of humor but don't horseplay around, there can be serious unintended consequences to that.
