I always thought Limitless should have the capacity to extend it's range. You can't get close to Gojo, even if you are 10 feet away, the distance is still infinity, and that means Gojo could basically freeze everyone and every object in place by manifesting Limitless all around him, potentially time would also freeze. It could be seen as too similar to Infinite Void, except unlike Inifinite Void, people's senses are not overwhelmed there for they can recover as soon as it's done and Objects/projectiles also stop in place- so it practically functions just like a time stop. Maximum technique: "Timeless". maybe with this 'timeless' he can pass this limitless to some people who will be frozen in place but nothing will get close to them either (so it's the ultimate "Time-out" or "stay-put" technique, maybe at the expense of his own limitless protecting only him). Or idk, turns his limitless barrier into the properties of purple, meaning anything close to him gets instantly destroyed including the floor. very similar to how he ended that last fight in the manga. Maximum: Obsidian (or "Maximum: white"). Again, I suspect it'd cause him his limitless barrier. I think "timeless" is the best answer, something about him being able to freeze a large area if not the world or give everything/anything the limitless barrier(choosing the target of Timeless) seems like the maximum conclusion to his Limitless.
Yeah that checks out. Tho I was kinda assuming this was similar to what he was doing when he killed Hanami but I guess that doesn't make quite sense, it was more similar to red I think ? Actually I don't really understand what happened there, can anyone explain ? ._.
@@HaphazardousSpace I thought about this recently and you're right, it was an enhanced/higher-output application of limitless. he explains that as they try domain amplification to by pass limitless Gojo has to increase the output/strength of limiteless, which then leads to him showing how that kind of battle ends up with Hanami. I still think the idea of "timeless" being an Maxed-out limitless to the point every object is frozen in time makes most sense for a Gojo Maximum Technique, his limitless attack towards Hanami only pushed him against a wall by basically being a "stronger wall" crushing him, but if he engulfed everything and everyone with limiteless it would probably be more like being engulfed inside that wall but functionally i think it could work more like a time stop and have the target not experience anything. as a downside Gojo can't do anything else with his Curse energy, sense it's all dumped into this "timeless" technique. further speculation/fan-writing but: If something like this was his Maximum technique, I could see the reasoning for him not wanting to use it. Maximum Techniques are all out, I think his domain expansion would simply be safer in combat and more direct in combat applications. anyways- this is just fun to speculate on, manipulating time sounds like an ultimate Gojo move sense he can distort space as it is, in all likely hood Gege would have come up with something else if he thought Gojo should have one, in universe we just have to assume Gojo never thought it was an optimal option or knew it wasn't in his cards based on his specific innate CT.
Day 2 of asking Quick question regarding Gojo’s Red. We know Mahoraga’s blade is covered in positive energy, the stuff made by RCT, and that it has anti-cursed spirit properties. Isn’t Red made from the same positive energy? So does that mean Red has the same anti-curse properties?
I’d go with the option being it doesn’t. Think of it as you have many different ways to power an appliance; wind,solar, nuclear etc. but only nuclear ( of the ones mentioned above is harmful to us when exposed directly. Mahoraga is raw rct on his sword, not the appliance of said energy to power something like in Gojo’s case.
Nah he just reversed his Blue to make the opposite of blue. It’s still negative cursed energy but positive energy was needed to reverse the Blue technique.
Imagine gojo's red a technique as a rocket and its fuel is reverse cursed technique so when it hits you you will be affected by the rocket blast not its fuel but mahoraga and yuta they just throw the raw fuel on you which is the reverse technique or another name for it "positive energy"
Maybe Gojo's maximum technique could be to shape infinity. For example, instead of just stopping someone with infinity, he could shape it to make that person move in any way he wants. Like if someone tried to punch him Gojo could shape infinity to make it to where they punch their own face instead. Personally, I think Gojo didn't get a maximum technique because he is already too OP.
Very good point I think the maximum technique for Gojo will be white⚪ like in the one of the cover from one of the chaptes, that can even hurt the soul and just erase you from existence...the maximum technique I have seen so far are the purest form of the technique of a merger of the technique into one...if theory is right Gojo wasn't able to use a maximum technique just because his technique was unfinished (he is the only character to use a domain with one hand)...if he perhaps return he will be able to use the other aspect of his complete technique with two times technique, which mean limitless was a space-time technique (two technique for space and two technique for time): with green🟢he will be able to stops any attacks anywhere in the space and with yellow🟡 he will be able to reverse the time of any attacks like it was never launch from the start, make is disappear... But i think green and yellow (the time techniques) will reinforce the neutral limitless in defense with yellow that stops anywhere by expanding the neutral infinity and green which is a technique reversal that can rewind the of anything that touch the neutral infinity...I think after this, he will be able to make the maximum technique that erase you from existence unless you attach your soul or a part of your soul somewhere else to avoid the complete erasure. (Theory for fun😂😂😂).
He couldn't use his technique inside of someone because your body is always your innate domain (this is why blood manipulation can't use someone else's blood or hanami can't spawn plants in someone's heart) but his maximum could still pull apart (or blow apart) atomic bonds from the outside inward (kind of like mahito sending his CE into someone's soul to manipulate it)

This may sound too simple, but I think it'd become a gigantic ball of blue that'd begin to spaghettify anyone who fell in. I've also been reading up on magnetars, which are basically the second strongest thing next to a black hole. Their magnetic fields are so strong that that it literally pulls amplifies it's own power by collasping in on itself. Or something like that, i forgot
I think that Limitless itself is already a Maximum Technique because all a Maximum Technique is is taking a normal Curse Technique and pushing it to a logical (or illogical) extreme, and you can't get more extreme then literally applying the concept of infinity to a point in space, causing said spacial distortions that either explosively attracts or repels matter. If anything, an extreme version of applying infinite to a fixed point is applying infinity over a wide area, which is functionally the same as Gojo's Domain Expansion, Infinite Void. I actually think it's more interesting to speculate on a possible Maximum Technique/Domain Expansion for Gojo's other Bloodline Curse Technique, Six Eyes.
I think it makes perfect sense that Gojo doesn't have a maximum technique because it shows just how powerful the limitless is. All Gojo had to do to defeat Toji was reverse his base technique with RCT (Red) and add that reversed technique to his base technique (making hollow purple). Add his domain to this, as well as his various applications for blue that he uses to aid his combat and other ventures, and you'll realise that he doesn't need a maximum technique with how effective his basic techniques already are
It's pretty much purple tbh. I see your explanation but i think purple being the maximum technique makes sense. Even if it is his normal technique plus the reversal. That doesn't mean it can't be his normal technique I am saying this is because technically you would include infinity as normal technique too.

So maybe the maximum technique for infinity is something he doesn't know or has grasped yet... ...maybe something like attracting and connecting things together, since blue is the power to attract things to...

'Maximum technique: blue' gives Gojo the ability to attract and mend together severed objects. In this case, he will glue back his missing half and finally start cooking sukuna 🥶🥶🥶
I think the most fitting use of it would be what you said but not using lapse blue or reversal red as examples. It would be a more precision and ranged or aoe verson of neutral limitless where people hit or is inside are stuck in place as their atoms are also can't go anywhere.
Wouldnt his barrier be the ultimate usage of base limitless? It uses only the base techniques no reversal, its very hard to do, and it makes him nigh unharmable let alone killable. Ontop of the defensive abilities of his limitless barrier he can also use it for offense (hanami) and can likely use it for movent aswell(episode 1 sukuna "hes fast, wait thats not it") . And the reason we never hear "maximum" is because he never mentions it because its more of a passive than active move, and he has had access to it since well before he was a teenager(hidden inventory).

Maybe infinite distance at any point in space around him. He can, at a distance from his target, make the space between the target's atoms approach infinity essentially dismantling them at an atomic level.
I think Gojo's maximum technique would be something light infinite speed. What do I mean? I mean, Gojo's hollow purple is an imaginary mass. Imaginary masses are made of tachyon particles. What is that? A tachyon particle in simple terms, is the opposite of inertia. Instead of the more energy, the faster you go, it's the less energy the faster you go. The idea is that Gojo's maximum would be turning his body into these tachyon particles snd blitzing his opponent with infinite speed. This wouldn't mean he'd move faster than time, but just move at an incalculable speed. He would also be able to shoot purples at you, and at that speed, a simple Red would vaporize your bones. This could have a similar price to pay like The 8th gate of Death, where you can only use it once, also similar to Kashimo's Technique. I got this idea from someone else, but I just wanted to share it.
Defo siding with option 1 not every technique has a maximum. No reason to use it? Here’s one: Sukuna. Plus at the end he did say he used everything all his techniques and refinements and gave it everything while Sukuna did not which we know for sure one side of the statement to be true.
What if the maximum technique if limitless is information based like unlimited void? Domain expansion is the guaranteed hit effect version of a technique, but gojos technique is completely unrelated to information.

I honestly don't think it would that hard or complicated to make a maximum technique for infinity, not if you really put your mind to it. Gojo: "Maximum... Black" Narrator: "Black is the combination of every color in the in the universe smashed together to create its own identity. Satoru Gojo's technique: Infinity when boosted to its maximum follows the same principles. By forcing his Infinity deeper into the fabric of reality, Gojo is able to manipulate certain aspects of it. Maximum Black grants Gojo the ability to manipulate individual atoms, as well as create them out of nothingness. This is because in theory, Black is a combination of everything. As such, when Gojo uses Maximum Black, he can transmute matter, or create virtually anything from nothingness. A small fire to a miniature sun, a drop of water into a tsunami, solid constructs, clones, anything that is within the range of Gojo's cursed energy output can essentially be casted into reality. However despite Gojo having unlimited cursed energy via the Six Eyes, he has a limit to his cursed energy output. Gojo is not able to keep his Barrier up while Casting Maximum Black, nor can he fire Blue or Red simultaneously. This makes it possible for Gojo to be hit by a counter attack. Which is why he doesn't use it.
I think the maximum technique for Gojo is the purple he used on Sukuna specifically based on how his technique works if you think about real physics he has to careful keep the same amount of CE on red and blue for purple to work so he needs to use blue and a half power red since its ce is doubled. What he used against Sukuna was that purples imaginary mass forced outwards with the remaining energy from red

Tl;dr, if Gojo is planned to be coming back somehow I think we may see his maximum technique. I think he hasn't achieved a maximum yet. His battle against sukuna was the best showcase of jujutsu mastery so far in the series. Gojo never held back in his battle against sukuna and gave his all, if he were to have a maximum technique he would have used it, especially against Mahoraga's adaptability. Also while a maximum technique may not be stronger than hollow purple, it just doesn't make sense for it to be weaker than the weakest stuff he'd shown in his battle against Sukuna, stuff like his creative use of red and purple. So I think he doesn't actually have one yet. As to the reason why someone as gifted as him haven't gotten a maximum yet, I think that limitless as a cursed technique is simply something that no one have ever reach the maximum of. If it was then the Gojo clan would've known, that or it simply wasn't recorded because it's too dangerous of a technique to pass on, either it may risk the user's life, or the world. Limitless may simply be a high tier technique that even for Gojo it require extensive training, or enlightenment The next point is to reach breakthrough and achieved the mastery of reversal technique and subsequently, hollow purple, he experienced near death encounter with Toji. Sure he may have achieved it without the death battle but it may certainly speed up his progress. After the battle against Toji, he most likely never had another one until his fight with Sukuna, as he's shown to felt the same vibe with his battle against Toji. So another reason why he hasn't achieved a maximum yet. After that, Gojo had a shift in mindset after Geto's death, he no longer only care about being, or becoming the strongest. That's why he became a teacher, trying to nurture the next generation of jujutsu sorcerer and change the corrupt system as well. I certainly think he did have this mindset shift after that "Are you the strongest because you're Gojo Satoru... " convo. Before his, breakup with Geto he simply polished his technique because he got the talent. But afterwards, being the sole strongest doesn't have much meaning after Geto's death, so he may not have been seriously training his technique. And cares more about teaching kids. But, I don't think actually the case. What actually happens may actually be the opposite, he started to train even more diligently putting more effort and hardwork. He doesn't settle, as he became genuinely motivated to reach the pinnacle of his technique, fitting his genuine pride as the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer. It's not a mere claim. And he definitely knew the existence of Sukuna and prepared for it, thats why he let Yuji ate all lf those finger Jerky. He wants the battle, and he trained for it. But even then he still hasn't reached the "maximum". This is why when he battled Sukuna he claimed that Sukuna was actually the Challenger, but no, Gojo's real feeling is the opposite. The common reverse psychology if you will. I think he's hoping to reach a breakthrough just like his battle against Toji. And he may achieved exactly that after getting bisected. End of the conjecture. From here on is just my wild guess The "Maximum" of limitless has to do with time reversal of some sort, at the cost of something. Something like the theory that the universe have expanded, crunched, and expanded over and over again, repeating the same exact cycle. And he applies the concept of infinity to speed up something until it "loops", creating a pseudo time reversal. As to why no one ever achieved it, or recorded, maybe the user would perish permanently, or goes outside of the predetermined loop of the universe. Because when one uses the technique it would create a change in the identical loop that the universe have experienced for who knows how long. It's a super dangerous technique basically. And Gojo would use that ability to change the fate of the JJK cast. A super wild guess I know, I'm trying to read Gege's mind and infer on how he would treat his supposed "hated" Character. My personal opinion, an author "hate" of the character would never be a true "hate" As in contempt, regret, and malice. Because of that I don't think Gojo would simply be off screened out of pettiness. Gege actually cherish Gojo as the character he made. He wouldn't make so much plot armor in Gojo's favor if he didn't actually like Gojo. His "hate" is simply because he made Gojo too strong, he would need to create a grand scenario fitting for the whole series, which might simply be a pain to write. That's why he took multiple breaks to think of something. As he said he generally have an idea on how the series would end but need to come up with fitting scenarios. Btw if you like the thought inducing series around the power system or world building like JJK, you might also like Sousou no Frieren. But instead of the world with Jujutsu, it's about fantasy world with magic. While it's a completely different genre, the common thing between them is how you might try to guess what the author is cooking
As for the point of rebuttal of my wild guess, I think it doesn't make a sense that a maximum would be that extravagant, exceeding the domain expansion itself. But who knows, it's literally called "limitless", a really powerful concept. Why shouldn't it break the logic itself. But well, it it turns out to be a time reversal of some sort maybe it's just a more potent version of RCT healing and can only affect Gojo himself
@@yunan9610 Another point of rebuttal to your wild guess: even if the Universe is undergoing a loop of contraction and reexpansion, nothing guarantees that it will turn out to be exactly the same as before, ever again, precisely because of something called *entropy* (the irreversible and unique randomness of a system, studied in physics). The only thing repeating could be the contraction and reexpansion rather than all the events in the Universe itself (the chances of all events reoccurring would be infinitely close to zero because they are *way too specific* conditions to meet at random).

As he said here, while it definitely functions like an ultimate technique purple isn’t one because it’s combining his technique with the reverse of the technique. His ultimate technique would be him doing something that took blue to its absolute limit without red. I personally think that whatever it is it probably isn’t better than purple anyway, which is why gojo has never bothered using it

Gojo's Limitless ability already does that. By applying the concept of infinity to a fixed point in space, Gojo creates singularities that cause spacial distortions that either explosively attract matter towards them (Blue) or explosively repels matter (Red). We also see the result of layering infinites on top of one another with Hollow Purple.
You don’t have to have the six eyes to use limitless. It only makes ur use of limitless more efficient. You can still use limitless yes just fine without the 6 eyes, it will only drain you of more cursed energy. If u have a massive cursed energy pool, u can still do a lot.
six eyes is something that someone's born with though, its not learnt in any way, plus, you dont need six eyes to use limitless, six eyes just makes it more precise as six eyes allows you to have a incredible grasp and control of cursed energy, which is why gojo is able to use limitless the way he does

He needs six eyes because limitless is a technique that controls space-time at a molecular level as shown when Gojo is creating hollow purple and six eyes actually doesn't make him automatically like good at cursed energy, it only allows him to see cursed energy at a very great detail that he can trace it back to the cursed technuiqe of his enemy as shown when he fought that paper bag man and he just analyzed the cursed energy and already found out about his technique. So basically to even use limitless, you need six eyes or you will just make the surroundings glow blue and do nothing because to use limitless you need to control it at a molecular level and to control cursed energy at that level he needs six eyes. I also believe that six eyes allows him to have a greater reaction time like he can see minutes in less than a second because 1st, he processed 3 years of information, 2nd he fought toji and toji teleported behind him and he reacted to it and you know what? Toji is faster than mach 3 because maki out speed someone that's as fast as mach 3 and maki at that time is as fast as toji. And also when Gojo is fighting toji and while he was charging a purple, after a while of explanation, everything stopped and it's on Gojo's perspective because before he makes purple hes amazed by the world and shows how he sees it such as the leaf that has a water droplet in it. So basically Gojo's six eyes allows him to see in super slow mo that allows him to even process things at a molecular level because his six eyes gives him that molecular perception and he needs to process all of that and also that limitless needs six eyes

If they knew rct, probably, like Geto does later in the manga. Though I do think it’s case by case like what would a rct curse spirit manipulation even look like, boogie woogie, 10 shadows, cursed speech or even mechamaru’s puppet control? He creates curses; they unswitch, he uses light, listening or the puppets control him? Though I’m some cases it’s seems more feasible like yuki’s mass manipulation or the construction technique which might have a disassemble component.
I imagine only Satoru (and others of his clan) is only capable because of doing this because of the very nature of Limitless, since he describes the process of how Purple is created being something entirely exclusive to his CT. Though we really don't know. Perhaps anyone could make a "Hollow Technique." Also the two guys who replied before me clearly didn't understand your question and just thought you were asking if others besides Gojo can use Cursed Technique Reversal, which in that case probably just depends on if their cursed technique has an inverse that would even make sense.

I disagree. As you said, a maximum technique is the most refined form of a cursed technique. Blue and red are not his technique. They're augmented activations of his technique. The neutral activation of limitless is his slowing aura which makes him untouchable. Also, I believe it's a rule of jujutsu that techniques can't be activated inside of another person. I don't quite recall the explanation, but I believe it was said at some point.

The main manifestation of Gojos technique is blue attraction and the reversal red repulsion, with purple being basically imaginary mass and a combination of the two. The only technique that is the most likely IS blue because blue to its hilt is like: think of space collapsing in on itself with limitless this is actually possible as we know gojo uses something called warp where he warps space to travel at incredibly fast speeds. What would happen if it collapses..... GOKU NO BAN BLACK HOLE, I don't know how he'll control it tho but hey HE'S GOJO
I wonder if the Maximum Technique for Blue would basically just be Yuki’s black hole, since Blue essentially sucks things into itself like a black hole. So if it was taken to a “maximum” level, it could become so destructive that it starts to resemble Yuki’s black hole? And why would he ever use such a technique when Yuki’s was essentially suicidal and I think said could destroy the world? The inaccuracy, potential damage to others around him, and damage to himself could make sense as to never really using it too.
My theory is that maybe because limitless is... well limitless, it probably would be impossible for him to max out his technique because there is no maximum to it. idk it's just a theory... a game theory!
I've heard a thoery that Maximum technique is the most amount of curse energy you can put inside your tech before it crumble into a normal energy blast. By this logic, Limitless can't have Maximum due to its nature, there's no limit to how much energy you can put in Limitless.
I would think that his Maximum technique would be a singularity. He basically would conjure a stationary blue either in front of him or his target, which attracts the target and all things in a certain radius to it. Similar to Yuki’s black hole, but on a smaller scale and not a suicide option. It would work more of an ultimate CC than for damage.
Maximum : Blue hole , basically a black hole that swallows everything around and he can’t use it , cuz it will kill all people around regardless everyone except those who adjacent to gojo
simplist answer but like reversal techniques i assume some techniques just don't go to the point where they have a maximum. Like how no matter how hard Mahito trained I assume his technique just wouldn't have a reversal because conceptually it makes little sense
I think it would be look like Uzumaki. He pulls in every body into something like a tube made out of blue and then closes the opening with red creating purple and just erasing everybody inside the tube.
