I'm hoping to splurge on the black Arkansas stone after I get a set of either the Venev's, or maybe the Shapton's. Seems like the super-dense Arkansas stone would almost burnish a super fine edge? Thanks for another interesting episode & take care...

Hello Dave, the Arkansas Black is a very dense stone. I believe it is rated near 8,000-10,000 grit. It will definately polish an edge. It is the finest grit whetstone I have other then a chunk of solid Jade (2"x3") that I have. The jade is almost glasslike. Thank you for following along and your good words. I highly recommend the Arkanas Black for a finish stone. Take care buddy

@@WardogOutdoorsits exactly the same as a 80€ china model. As long as there is no play in the mechanik and its solid then the only important part is the stone.
