Guys I just got my braces on yesterday, and while I don’t know much, I do know about putting braces on and 1st Pain. The braces don’t hurt when they put them on, but on the day you are supposed to get your braces (mine was July 6th, so let’s put that as a example) So on July 6th at the time before you leave, I recommend drinking a big glass of water. Because the braces don’t hurt to be put on, but they put this huge mouth thing over your lips and in some conditions of your teeth (I got them) they’ll put this soft thing the shape of normal bottom teeth and they will tell you to bite down on it. Plus, I don’t know for others but my mouth gets horribly dry when I have my lips open without closing it for too long. So I recommend water. And then get prepared for the ✨ P A I N ✨ I also kinda recommend eating popcorn like, 2 days before you get it because you can’t eat popcorn once you get braces. I made the stupidest decision of my life and turned down popcorn because I was “preparing to get braces”. Oh what a horrible mistake. I cant eat popcorn for _2_ years now and i already miss popcorn! I ONLY HAD BRACES FOR A DAY! And now, the PAIN There’s going to be soreness in your mouth, maybe 15 minutes after you get them on to about 4 days. I’m on my 2nd day so I have FREAKING SO MUCH PAIN IN MY MOUTH AS IM WRITING THIS! But don’t worry , its just your teeth getting adjusted. For brushing? I recommend a electric toothbrush. My orthodontist recommended it to me and I got one. But get prepared. One advice: OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND CURL YOUR LIPS WHILE BRUSHING, AND TRY *NOT* TO TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF YOUR 2 (or 1, I’m not you so idk) TOP TEETH WHILE BRUSHING! I swear, it hurts way too much! And just remember, that your teeth will look great and you can eat anything you want and you get to brag that you lived through this and you can brush without pain and you can live your life normally once you get them off! Good luck! 🍀 You will really need it!

i’m getting braces in a few weeks but first i have to get four teeth pulled (max) and i’m just scared for the teeth pulling and needles but with braces i’m not scared at all i just have a phobia of needles because when they put the anesthesia
I got my teeth pulled and I have really bad anxiety and my doctors did a very good job numbing didn’t even feel the shots and the numming only lasted 2 hours
the numbing feeling it's going to go away in like 1 hour more drinks lots of water, and so exciting about your braces don't be scared you are going to love them!! let us know how it goes! :D
@@kmaryncaldwell6040 as soon as you get them on and for about 3 hours after is perfectly fine. After that and for the rest of the next day you will hate your life it KILLLS. But from day 3 it improves and I'm only on day 6 and I've gotten used to them already. I do have massive ulcers tho so make sure you use wax Hope this helps

So for the blue stuff that goes on your teeth to dry them up, that's the only thing I'm worried for. I have a super bad gag reflex, and I gag when they rinse my mouth during a cleaning. I don't wanna gag 🖐🏻😭
@@ToothTime it's not that bad actually, the waiting was the worst part for me. I got brackets on all my teeth apart from my lower 5ths or something were I have springs instead and it feels fine I just took ibuprofen for pain like 3 hours after. Keep trying to get my lips under the brackets and panicking they're falling off tho so I should probably stop 😂

January 11th is my 1 year with braces anniversary I got those same ties on my bottom teeth when I got my bottom braces put on in August, but 2 weeks ago they changed the ties, witch I was really excited about they also started me on class 2 elastics, I still have another year and a half to go in braces ❤❤❤❤ I love this content getting to see others braces journeys ❤❤❤

I’ve had braces for a while and they don’t exactly show or tell uncomfortable the equipment is that they put in your and it tastes really gross and it is hard to eat the first couple of days once you them on cause your teeth will be sore

Oh girl u r lucky... my teeth were VERY tight as soon as i got them on, the back brackets were cutting my cheeks, 2 teeth hurt abt half hour after then all of them hurt 2-3 hours after for 3 days majorly then 3 more days. Couldnt brush properly for 3 days, couldnt floss my teeth. BUT NOW I FORGET THEY ARE EVEN ON HAD THEM FOR ABT 2 MONTHS. TRUST THE PROCESS.

I'm getting mine on Tuesday and I have extreme dental phobia and worry about my teeth falling out and having gum disease even though there aren't any signs of it. Any ideas on how to stop stressing?
So tell your ordidontist that you will gag if not then you might throw up take deep breaths i to,d the mold and I gaged but I didn't throw up BREATH through your NOSE not your mouth it will be better
@@ooblecklover Good! They didn't stick any needles in my gums. When i got them on it didn't hurt, but the day after it really started hurting. I chose dark purple for my braces! UwU
I got braces a few weeks ago, and it's 100% not as bad as I thought! 1. The process doesn't hurt 2. Eating is a bit annoying (very..) but not painful if you're careful 3. It only hurts for 2-3 days (Not a lot, just aches) 4. You can't feel them after a week or so
Yeah me too I got them yesterday and it doesn’t hurt that much. The only thing I didn’t like is the plastics they put on your lips. It was really annoying 😅
5:45 before they trim the wires, does it hurt? Looks like it’s poking the person... also, does it hurt during the process? Oh and last question, was it uncomfortable during the process?

I only looked this video up because I’m getting braces next Monday (by the time this is being commented which is oct 12 2021) and the fist 2 comments really calmed me down about the pain so yeah I will update when I get them on and tell you all about the pain. Update: damn I forgot to edit this well better late then never am I right. Anyway like other people say it doesn’t hurt just presser and a dry throat, I didn’t take that long and after it it hurts whenever something touch the brackets but after a week or two your teeth should be used to it

for those of u wondering why she is bleeding it’s bc they flossed first and bc she didn’t floss perfectly it started bleeding due to bacteria. This is common and does not hurt! (ik bc my mom cleans teeth)
Exactly right my friend! Usually when the "mouth" is bleeding, it's basically the gums that are bleeding and it's because of the Gingivitis ( Gingivitis is the earliest stage of gum disease. It happens when plaque and bacteria build up on your teeth and cause infection. Common symptoms include red, swollen, bleeding gums. Hi Keke and where are you located? first thing I would investigate how much do braces cost near you and after that if you get an allowance or you are able to get a part time job make a monthly goal of how much you can save and divided between the whole cost of your braces and like that you can figured it out a goal and how long is it going to take. thanks for watching our channel!

yesterday I accompanied my friend to put braces on, my friend said he would remove her braces in two years and said my friend wearing braces hurts and he can't eat anything like rice snacks and so he is also prohibited from eating candy by her mother
