What about if you are using live resin or rosin in your edibles rather than distillate? I’m pretty sure that would result in the strain used actually mattering.

The difference in our MS market is “sativa” has CBG mixed with it. Whereas indica has CBD and CBN added. I try to avoid those and stick with standard thc but they’re topically labeled “daytime” vs “nighttime”

Just buy a syringe of RSO and make your own edibles.

I mean I get edibles with terps added…I have noticed a difference but most edibles are simply distillate with no terps.

Man indica vs sativa is definitely a joke. Not an edible, but I went to pick up some strawberry cough (generally considered a sativa or hybrid) but they labeled it indica on their site. I asked about it, budtender said the store owner tried their strawberry cough and said "Nah man this feels more indica", and that's what got "indica" on the box. It was really funny to hear.

The Camino Wild Cherry (Excite) definitely has a different buzz than the Camino Midnight Blueberry (Sleep). I get them in the 20 pack at 5mg each. I drop one and combine that with a teaspoon of Whole Foods Instant Coffee. It takes about 40 minutes for it to click but the synergistic effect of the two works so very well that I forget to vape sometimes.

I dont think theres a difference unless your tolereance is very low. The only difference Ive noticed between the distillate edibles at our dispensary is the terpenes they add to it and Ive also noticed other cannabinoids being added to gummies as well like "THCV" that would make it "sativa enhanced' or "CBN" which would classify it as a "Indica". However with Live Resin and Solventless edibles, those are usually strain specific so i would assume they would give a different effect. I dont notice anything when it comes to edibles and im more of a flower and concentrate person. But I do be having customers come in and ask for strain specific edibles claiming it would work.

Btw some folks who can’t metabolize edibles can sometimes get high off liquids especially those that use that “nano technology “ to make smaller particles or whatever. Drinks bypass the liver

I’ve tried multiple edibles, flowers and carts that were sativa and all different strains over the last few years and to be honest sativa does nothing for me at all. Do I smoke too much? Yeah I do, but hybrids and indica are the two that actually take effect

When I was going through cancer I was making my own edible oil and I was always disappointed with it when it was just sativa. I can eat twice as much of the sativa as the indica or hybrid

I was in Maine and saw strain specific hash rosin edibles the ones I got are watermelon flavor the strain is GMO but tbh edibles get you so high on the thc it’s harder to pinpoint certain effects unless take lower doses.

I've dosed 200mg+ 100% thc tons of times in alnost every inagonable form (pills, sodas, gummies,) with no noticable effects. Only ever noticed a high from a 1:1 RSO i tried recently, and I only had to use 20mg to feel it

I just make butter, flour, sugar and a whole tray of oils because I don't like store bought edibles. Edibles have a shelf life depending on how they are stored plus they loose potency over time, but never thought about the desolate that they use.

I highly recommend anyone with a vaporizer to save the AVB and invest in a levo and make your own oil and then you can make brownies rice crispy treats, cakes, whatever I ate one of those brownies a little while ago and I feel great because it's AVB there's typically multiple strains here with all kinds of shit😂

I dont notice the difference regarless of how im consuming, either weed is good and gets me feeling high or its shit and it doesnt. smokin' since 2005. Ive also heard plenty of biologists say theres no real chemical difference, chemicals found in sativa can be found in indica, and vice versa. The differences are more in the physical properties of the plant... Placebo baby!

how are hash rosin edibles different?

I feel like this definitely applies to distillate edibles, but resin and rosin edibles definitely have pretty significant strain specific effects

If its distillate in the edible theres no difference between one and the other because it's not the complete cannabinoid profile or the terpene profile of the strain that the distillate was extracted from now if the edibles were made with live rosin then that would be a strain specific edible but because ur liver turns delta 9 thc into 11 hydroxyl thc and the decarb and the cooking process will evaporate Terps or reach the boiling point of other cannabinoids the feelings will be different u cant really say indica or sativa when it comes to distillate or really edibles

really doesnt matter for smoking or dabbing too since it's all hybrid. the only edibles i recommend not buying are caffeinated ones since they kind of negate the sedation effect.

I think it matters for edibles as much as flower, which is to say it doesn't.

This is the topic I am in disagreement with you on. While I agree getting ZOOTED on too much anything will seem to the novice like a heavy feeling high. But I have the curse or the blessing to feel very minute details about specific strains that are repeated throughout years as I come across the strains. I keep a journal and it surprises me how after many years I could go back and see I have already logged this high exactly the way it feels. Now this goes away if you smoke many strains. But if you only smoke 3-4 strains for a few months you will definitely feel the strain-specific effects specially if your sessions are far enough from each other that you get to sober up in between. The same thing happens to Sativa and Indica for me. Indica's will affect the ease with which you can move your body around and get things done while sativa's feel like really day-time weed without the laziness. I have blind tested these and I swear by it. Try smoking Sour Diesel and tell me it doesn't make sex better. Smoke Banana Cream and tell me it doesn't ease your stress. It just works for me.

I do 100mg for the bedtime hit. Every night.

"Sativa" and "indica" are functionally marketing terms, supposedly based on the terps in them.
