Thank you for watching me install the lifetime air filter by K&N. This is not a paid video nor do I want it to be because I want to give my honest opinion. Please Like, Comment, and Subscribe if you liked the video!!!
Is it worth it? Short answer, YES!
It will last a lifetime. It is made out of cotton instead of paper so all you have to do is clean it and oil it and put it right back on the bike. It pays for it self with how much money you will save if you get this over buying several paper filters over a lifetime!
I'm still not sure if it improves any miles per gallon because I cant stop yanking the throttle haha but as soon as i get a nice long ride in i will let you know because before the filter I was getting 38mpg average and 32 with ripping on it at stop signs and lights all the time.
I did feel some heavier response on the throttle when yanking the throttle with this filter but it is just noticeable. I wouldn't necessarily consider it a night and day difference.
Air filter does not require a tune! If you change exhaust with the filter ir just exhaust then it will need a tune but the air filter does not require it to be retuned or tuned in general it just helps with the ease of flow into the throttle body because OEM is very restricted air flow.
