Nice bass Here's something cool about Schechter's headstock design...it is the OPPOSITE of Gibson's "open-book" headstock design...if you lay a Les Paul down head-to-head with a Schechter, they fit INTO each other, like a lovers' embrace!
Tested the 5 string version today. This thing hits you right in the balls! Such a fat, loud sound from passive pickups. And the neck!! Easiest neck to play I’ve ever tested. It’s got like a shallow D neck shape, very fast like the reviewer mentioned. But 5 strings?? I’ll have to think about it
Back in 2013/2014 I went to buy a bass. I picked up an Ibanez, fender jag bass, and the raiden. The others were active pickups but I couldn’t get over how killer the raiden sounded with the passive pickups and feel of the bass. It’s pretty nuts how nice the bass is and I still use it for recording today
Have the 5-string version in same black cherry. It's a lovely bass, but I'm having to shim the neck a bit to get the action down. I've also decided to reverse the tap pot when I replace it (it's crazy loose), as the tap sound has more mid/treble (kinda Jazz bass like).
