I bought a new G-Wagen and this video sums up the G-Wagen experience perfectly. It’s crazy but if your lucky enough, get one. Thanks for a great review.
You absolutely nailed it with this review! This may be one of the best youtube reviews of the new G63 that I've seen, because everything you're saying is true. I've driven it and it really is special. It's one of a kind experience and in my opinion it does make sense living with it.
I don't get when someone reviews a vehicle and states you don't need it. You talked about how you just wanted to go and drive it for no certain reason just go cruising. Isn't that what the whole car experience is about? There isn't anything that looks or drives like the G wagon. That's why people want it. If you can afford it why not? It's sad that so many cars look similar and brands share so much with each other now. There are certain vehicles that attract looks and bring smiles to people when they see them. It's refreshing that you can buy a SUV that isn't so thin in the top half that you are just inches from the side window. I love the refreshed old style of the G wagon and how it's not so clostrophobic. Some may say you don't need one, but I'd buy one. You don't need lots of stuff, but it's nice to have the freedom of choice. Life would be so damn boring if we all drove the same car in the same color.
All I could imagine about the downside of this car is when shopping for groceries or anything related to its trunks. The rear door open sideways, and that required way more space. Imagine parking this in a tight parking area and you'll have to move the car a bit just so you could open the rear door fully. But, maybe those who could afford it always get the best parking space or valet.
fast driving is also limited, over 230km/h is not that easy possible as you are used to. but I loved to drive that car on the German Autobahn! Sound from the side pipes are just gorgeous
im getting anxiety just him driving so fast but im being dramatic, he probably isn't driving crazy fast. This G Wagon is definitely my dream car and will one day own one 🙏🏼❤️
Nothing wrong with that! And can’t take away from the German engineering. Owning a Rolex feels the same. And can’t take away from the Swiss workmanship.
Hi, newest subscriber here from South Africa. I've never really liked G-wagons too after all these years. I honestly started loving them since last week - out of nowhere!
Hey Seb, when I see your video and your face... Its exactly me when I have driven this by myself. I am not fan of SUV nor offroads etc but I simply realized I need this car for sure. And exactly... I do not why.
Because a large sunroof reduces structural rigidity. The G is a hard core off-roader, so you want it to be as rigid as possible. A glass sunroof is standard.
Your Distronic cruise control was ON Bro. There is no speed limiter setting unless cruise control is engaged. I have the car. I also saw you trying to change the dash screen with the right thumb pad, which is for the central screen, not the dash screen. You had it a few days ?!
This is my dream car. And for me this is something i can keep for generations.. This benz is a big icon. Love the video! I will have this soon enough! G63 baby…💯✨
This was the kind of review that I've been looking for. Watched this because I joined a giveaway and this SUV is the prize. I'll have this soon! By God's will. 🙏
The old G wagon (2016 in my case) was raw and took time to learn to live with it and in time... love it! The new one (now a 2020 for me) it is non-apologetic da G wagon! Raw, visceral, unique...you own one; just because.
This car is very cool when embarking on a long journey over 1000km with it, because it is fast but for some reason if you don't have enough resources to keep it on it toes don't go for it...
Perfect car except the closing sound of the doors and no keyless access... but G is legend and this is the best grn so far! Btw, what are you doing with that seatbelt?! do You like dislocated shoulder during the crash or something?
Nice review seb ,the lovely Mercedes G-wagon is my favourite mercedes off all time and it's one of the mercedes ever built and one day I will get one 😊
Makes sense if you like cars and driving and take it off road . Otherwise only for your ego if it needs boosting. Yeah , the size matters thing. I'll go for the up and coming this year 4x4 squared
Double glazed Windows? No, it doesn’t have them. They are heat and noise insulated though. And the Burmester is pretty good/ok, but nothing like the upgraded Burmester in the S Class or AMG GT.
I own one, and as far as I know.... the trend started in the Middle East, Dubai ordered a few for their royal family members, the Sheikh of Dubai drives one, then they invited the Kardashians, and Hollywood celebs, and the celebs picked it up from the Arabs and started driving in Hollywood, and it took off from there....
Basically if I have to explain it i will be wasting everyone’s time. You will either get it or not, it has so many contradictions and it will appeal to the inner child, the boy racer and the person seeking that next level of driving experience from a vehicle that is unashamedly retro. Like driving Art ...
You are well spoken as a autophile...and you are (obviously) British. This demands a tweed driver's cap and not some cheap plastic truckers bonnet. P.S. James Caan wore one. Very cool, sir.
