Well yes, iniesta deserves a ballon dor before modric. Modric was nowhere near madrids best player in the league or ucl last season, ronaldo was. He literally scored in 11 ucl games in a row ( a new record) and also got more assists.

Diego Milito scored the only goal in the Copa Italia final against Roma and also scored in the Semi Final against Fiorentina, scored the winning goal in the last match of Serie A that won Inter the league, Milito bagged a brace against FC Bayern in the UCL final and also scored in the round of 16, QF and SF of the UCL against Chelsea, CSKA and Barcelona. He also scored several other decisive goals that season. Despite doing all this, Diego Milito wasn't even nominated for the Ballon D'or in 2010. ( Not even among the top 23 players in the world? )

Casillas/Iniesta 2010 Neuer 2014 If getting to a UCL final/WC Final is important then these men should've won because they were all instrumental to their team, not only reaching those finals, but also winning them.

Yes, 2010 should have been Iniesta or Sneijder (Serie A, UCL, Copa Italia, and WC runner up with 5 WC goals tied for 1st place) but no one said anything because all the fan boys were happy Messi won it. 2018 Justice has been done.
