Farket, if you’re looking for survival game, you may give The Long Dark a try, just you and nature, nothing else, no building, just survive as long as you could, it’s not a easy game but definitely a hidden gem as pure survival game, you might enjoy it, probably 😂

I started playing this game last week, it's like valheim but the villagers do most of the grinding... Just make sure you have a good food source, i chose an area with a lot of wild animal spawns

I feel like having ingame npcs help you in survival games with tasks suddenly became popular after Palworld, and I love it. It's like playing minecraft with the tektopia mod or minecolonies.

The combination of RTS and survival and being multiplayer co-op made this my favorite game of the year so far. It did feel like it started out slow and tedious to me as well but the villagers lighten the load giving you more time to explore and do your own thing.

If you like colony survival games, I recommend Rimworld. It's probably a bit of a stretch from what you're used to playing, but I really enjoy the game, and it doesn't hold your hand.

Farket, you might have the best voice for this stuff that I have ever heard. I could listen to you all day play games. I love that you like the same type of games I do. I love building and looting, mixed with good combat. These games have ruined me. Now when I try to play Spiderman or whatever, if there isn't gathering and building, I'm not have as much fun. It kind of sucks because there aren't that many good building and gather games out there. One of my favs is subnautica. One of the best games ever made. You should do a video playing that! PLEASE DO SUBNAUTICA

Aska is pretty great for where its at. Theres some bugs and kinks in the ai that need some work but its fairly easy to get a solid village up and running in time for winter. Fish is god tier. This was a nice change of pace!

If Farket is looking to try other survival crafting games, I'd recommend Enshrouded. Not much survival since it's fairly similar to Valheim, but I the crafting is pretty good imo.

Valheim too grindy? Turn that resource rate to 3 in world settings 😉. You could add mods to spice gameplay up also.

Hi Farket. I follow you for a long time... I'd recommend trying out Conan Exiles, it's a good game and it has quite a lot of content and it's very dynamic with updates, events and stuff. New content drops regularly in few months.

bye the way you can avoid the grind of valheim now because a while ago they added better world settings that allow you to turn off portal restrictions and multiply resource gain, but to be honest i think valheim presents its grind in a more fun way than other games as you have to work out the quickest way to get goods from lets say a copper deposit to your base like using roads and opening up rivers to allow boat travel is fun in my eyes

Valheim to grindy? .... well ... solo it surely is. With friends Valheim is just amazing fun and the grind reduces to nearl nothing. :D But i really like to see a new game here and Aska is on my list to look into anyway.

@@FriedrichBarb well , I wouldn't say the original forest is bad ( IA is ages better than valheim for example , and the feels of real survival the first days , bad thing is their map , is tiny and is some empty ), and just that it runs out of content very quickly. i enjoy both , Original forest and valheim for equal :250hs in the forest, but because i did everything i wanted , and 800hs in valhein , just i dindt try ashlands yet , i read very bad things about that biome and needs more fixes yet , mistlands was a real chore but finished well , is ugly that you cant enjoy a true beautiful biome because that thick and horrible fog about farket , i agree with you , this guy saying that valheim is grindy , when The forest is too , when you have to build a pretty big house , a lots of logs are required and other materials i cant say much about 7d2d , tryed years ago but didnt understand it very well , there is was not a propper tutorial in that time
