We recommend purchasing the insurance that the rental company offers, and asking your insurance agent about a Personal Umbrella policy which can provide you with extra liability coverage. Be aware, some umbrella's exclude watercraft activities, so just make sure you understand your policy coverage. And if you own a boat or other watercraft, you would want to get its own policy so you the proper coverage to protect against physical damage and liability.
