Would your customer allow you to do the same test in his studio/drum cave? Very interested to see/hear the difference.

I'm also a metal drummer looking to do a soundproof shed in my backyard. Would you happen to have any updates on sound tests for the drummer's build? I'm really interested to hear the sound tests.

You live in a very noisy neighborhood. Where I live it's much more quiet, if there's no wind.

Yes, there are helicopters, motorcycles, big trucks and sirens, dogs barking and in the summer the endless drone of lawn mowers.

There is a strange metallic clinking sound on the kick drum hits during the "8inch from out side side studio". segment. Its that just random outside noise syncing up?

Not sure. I agree it was a strange sound.

This is a great video. Good to know what you would do differently if you did it again. I would also do mine differently if I did it again. I concur with the 'don't drill lots of holes in it' - which I'm also guilty of. If I did it again I would use lots of sheets of OSB behind the drywall so I can easily mount stuff to the walls without leaving lots of gaping holes in it. Although a lot more expensive than drywall it has a similar mass, and is far more forgiving when you drill into it.

Great video man! I'm currently in the process of building out a studio at my house and have been binging your videos. EXCELLENT information 👍

Super helpful video! It's really great to get the clips from outside the studio to get a sense of how loud it is from outside. I'd love to see a video with a full band playing inside at typical rehearsal volume.

Thanks for the great video. It shure dampens my stress as I am building my home studio. You mention a video with a "Phillip" guy, but I don't find it. What is the name of that video ? Thanks

What would you recommend for covering the air gap between a double wall system where the double doors frames are going to be? I know it wouldn’t make sense to frame over the gap and connect the walls but I’m not sure how to approach the gap. Thank you fall all the info in all of your videos!

I don't know if I'm approaching it the right way, but the way I see it, is that one door seals one of the walls in the double wall system. So I would just leave both doorways separated with the gap between the two walls. I'm thinking about maybe just putting a piece of loose fabric or something along the doorway just to hide that gap without impeding the decoupling of the two walls. By the way I haven't built my studio yet, but I have been planning and researching for like a year (I'm moving into a new house in June where I will FINALLY be able to execute that project!), so I can't rally talk from experience.
