I have one complaint about your channel...the videos are NEVER long enough! Love watching your dogs....

Dex is a well trained Border Collie and it seems, for obvious reasons, to be a very happy dog and pack member at Raventree Ranch. So glad you mentioned Bucky as being a unique character at the Ranch. That it is important to recognize and respect Bucky’s spirit and keep him independent. Not to be too pushed around by Dex. 2024 will be a positive, prosperous, happy year for Raventree Ranch and its residents, packs, herds, and individual characters! “And it’s time to turn him off”😂. Was lucky enough to be rescued by a border collie, shepherd, golden mix. The only time she was “off” was the middle of the day in the house. In the yard or at night, she was on duty, even though we never trained her and she wasn’t on a farm. She took her job very seriously. Every night, I would wake up feeling like someone was staring at me to see her little face inches away so she could “report in”.

We had a working Border Collie once the only way to switch her off was to place her in a crate. Dex is amazing as he does have an off and on switch and he never seems to place the goats and sheep in distress.

Ye my collie loves her belly rubs, at stupid times in the morning sometimes, and she has to have your arm softly in her mouth too, from what we know she grew up on a farm but failed as a sheepdog, we rescued her about a year and a half ago, she was only 1, is that too young to have already failed?
