Thanks so much for watching. This was such an important topic that we had to split it in 2 parts. Part 2 is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ImwdaASK3cU.html
I had to watch and understand 5 ,6 times to understand this explanation almost %98. This morning I understand almost everything. Thank you. I am a retired registered nurse.
This guy has an amazing way of explaining things. He almost draws you in to what he is saying. He also makes things clear and concise within being condisending. Would have him as my doctor anyday!
A tablespoon of cranberry sauce with whole cranberries in it everyday does wonders for helping to keep the kidneys healthy.. fresh cranberries are better if you can get them.. also eat plenty of cabbage either cooked or uncooked and add garlic to it.. i simmer my head of cabbage on a low fire and then I poor up the juice and drink it also..
I read about foamy urine & noticed a small amount of bubbles in my own urine. This video was so valuable, now I know it does not scream ‘kidney damage’ . I’m watching & it looks like it’s quite normal. Thanks team!
Holistic, Natural supplements and diet protocol from DR.UWENBOHERBALHOME youtube channel cured my CKD and High blood pressure completely alongside my symptoms including pains, inflammation, kidney stones, frequent urination, paled skin e.t.c.. permanently..🥰
Check your diet n medicines your are taking. All medicines hv side effects bad or very bad depends on yr genes. No worries about cholesterols...yu need them. It is inflammations of your arteries that cause stroke. Not cholesterol.
I think there's a difference between bubbles created from the force of urine hitting the water and bubbles created from protein. One doesn't stick to the side of the toilet while flushing and the other kind (protein) takes more effort to flush - much like how beer foam sticks to the glass and takes more effort to remove. Am I wrong? It would have been great to provide a visual example here since the vast majority of people will jump to the wrong (worse) conclusion as is human nature.
Just pee on one side of the toilet and if it still forms bubbles or foam that means it contains protein. (if you pee on the water it is very obvious you are gonna form bubbles due to air force)
Here is a more accurate way: 1. Pee in a glass or plastic bottle 2. If the foam is actually from protein, it will stay there for hours, even overnight!
Wow, these two professionals have such enormous dedication & knowledge for those of us who have any level of CKD. I take notes of many of your videos, but with this video I had to play sections of your talk over & over to get all the details. I still can't say I got all the details, but I am much closer to understanding the basics of protein in the urine.
Sir... your such a far excellent..thank you so much i did learned a lot...my son is a especial 35 yrs old. ckd 4 ..what the doctor said..from the Philippines
Thanks Dr. Hashmi n Michelle for this incredible episode. I'm sad bcoz my sister has 2+ protein in the urine just now. I'm praying that she can control the protein in her urine. I wish you could be her doctor. Your a great doctor.
⚠️ This is the greatest kidney specialist and knowledge man I already have seen. And he knows perfectly how to explain things so that everyone can understand. It's incredible. Looks like he already has a script in his head. I'm baffled. 😮😮. Thank you so much.
Thank you both for sharing this extremely helpful video. Dr Hashmi, in my humble opinion, is a top-notch nephrologist whom I would take advice. And Michelle also is so helpful with nutrition. The synergistic pair is helping many people by offering sound advice and identifying the habits we can avoid to prolong the health and life of our kidneys.
Wow this is very informative, it explains a wide cause of foamy urine which might not even be caused by kidney damage but from other things such as UTI, or cancer and that’s where protein is spilling from.
Add another UTI sufferer here , my urine was almost milky in appearance and I’m now in IV antibiotics. Thank you for your clear explanation! Great lesson 🎉
Excellent video on the subject matter ( proteinuria)! Very informative ,clear and precise .Thank you and more success to your professional & personal endeavors.

What a phenomenal and detailed explanation of the entire kidney dys😮function syndrome and which clarifies that none of the conventional symptoms necessarily indicate kidney DISEASE but can be from other dysfunction...very comforting. This expert doctor's explanation tells those of us who are dealing with CREATININE or protein in the urine issue that the causes and significance are very complex and that we must be on guard against our doctors jumping to conclusions and putting us on treatment protocols which are misguided. My investigation of this whole issue suggests to me that many times the most common cause of proteinuria is severe DEHYDRATION which seems to be a logical conclusion for my personal case...so severe it almost caused my kidneys to fail.
One of the best episodes! Thank you sooo much! I think a lot of patiënts do the 24hr test wrong because they also get the wrong instructions from the nurses.. it can be very confusing to explain it correctly to someone and like you mentioned.. "what if I don't wake up at the same time / feel like peeing at the same time the next day?" I think I have been doing it wrong all this time after hearing this because the nurses who explained it to me said "start counting your time from the first pee AFTER your morning pee...." so this could be 11am and naturally I would measure 24hrs: so until the next day 11am. But the next day 11am my last pee is not ONLY the morning pee but after that I might have to go again (until 11am) 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ What you said makes more sense.. start counting the time from your first pee (eventhough you're not collecting it) until the next morning same time. I would totally set an alarm for this to wake up in time and not mess it up haha Thanks again!!!
Thank you so much Sir for this informative video. Sir, why do S.Creatinine and serum uric acid increase? What precautions to take ? Can we reverse kidney damage ? Can we avoid medicine (ubexa 40 mg) ? And please tell us the natural treatment.
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme in the trypsin family. Another name for serrapeptase is serratiopeptidase. Like other proteolytic enzymes, serrapeptase helps break down proteins into smaller molecules. It can promote healing by reducing fluid and debris accumulation that can occur around tissue when an injury takes place. Today, serrapeptase is mostly isolated from the non-pathogenic bacteria called Serratia E15, which found in silkworms.
@@PlantBasedKidneyHealth most welcome, I was so relieved to learn about protein and what a +1 means. After learning more about kidney disease I now have hope. My Dad just passed away after 10 years on dialysis so I am changing my diet to avoid almost all red meat. My young kids even like my veggie burgers! Thank you again.
This is extremely helpful. I just had my doctor tell me I have a very low level of protein in my urine. Just diagnosed as diabetic last year. But a1c has gone from 6.1 to 5.4. All through diet and exercise and no medication nedded. Now I know it doesn't say something is seriously wrong. I just need to be aware of this. Thank you doctor this really helps.
My urine shows 0.25 but when i pee it foams like crazy. Especially if i eat something high in protein. I am not dehydrated, stressed. I am on bp pills but after pills my pressure is almost normal. There are few other things wrong with me
Just watched this informative video for the second time. Actually part 1 and 2. This video answered questions I had. It gave me the info I needed when I see a nephrologist next week. I need a 24 hour urine collection done and will follow the instructions explicitly. I had a kidney removed in 2003 due to stage 1 cancer. Non-smoker here, not sure what caused it. Now in stage 2 CKD. I have been eating healthier and have lost ten pounds in a month. Feel better and less bubbles upon urination. Thank you both so much, I have faith and strength to improve this.

i was juicing almost everyday until i discovered your podcasts and i heard Michelle talk about it. My acne has calmed down so much ever since. Now i just make smoothies, which calls for way less vegetables and fruits while i get more of everything. i love it. PS. you guys are such beautiful people, you look so healthy and happy. Thanks again
So happy to hear that you have already seen improvements and are doing smoothies instead of juicing :) Thank you for the kind words and for supporting out channel!
@@cmac3764 basically anything i used to juice before (like celery, apple, ginger, carrots etc) but now i also add coconut milk/oat, sometimes bananas, MCT oil, frozen berries, chia/flax seeds, makuna honey. My BF adds protein / collagen powder in his, i personally don’t like it lol
Very informative I’m so worried about 2+ Protein in my urine but I’m Diabetic also and now I know it might be because of my diabetes causing the proteinuria. Thank you but I will definitely see a nephrologist!
Well my doctor said my numbers were a little high, I am to see a doctor that deals with this, hope he can help me with medicine, this video was helpful.
i know this is at least a year old video but i JUST discovered you two, i learn so much, I love your video's. I would like to say THANK YOU for taking the time to get information to people that would not other wise not have a clue about this stuff. You explain things so its so much easier to understand and it all makes sense. my own kidney DR has not told me anything except my kidneys arexmoderate to severe and my potassium is high. also that i need to stay away from high potassium foods like bananas and potatoes. if i dont my next step is dialisis, THATS IT! not helpful at all so I especially value these videos, THANK YOU
What can be done to stop the appearance of protein in the urine Is there or are there drugs that could be taken that the kidneys wouldn't be affected at the end of the day
Thanks so much Sean and Michele. Great content as always. Just wondering if this was meant to pop up as a podcast as well? Couldn't see it come up in my feed.
Really love❤ this topic as I got a UTI 2 months ago and on my urinalysis they found out that I had 1 plus Urine. I was so scared that I really cried I thought that I already have kidney disease however my doctor explains so well the same as this great doctor explains. Thank you Doc for the detailed explanation👏👏👏👏🙏
Thank you, Doctor - a great video! One question! At timestamp 20:00 you mention a Protein to Creatinine ratio of 500 mg. Is it 500 mg/L, 500 mg/dL or 500 mg/mmol? I'd appreciate your clarification regarding the units of measure. Thanks.
He meant PCR of 500 mg/g (50 mg/mmol). IMO, it is unnecessary to use the units, it causes confusion. The medical professionals should just call it as "PCR = 0.5 in weight".
I have high protein of 1233mg and blood in urine . Does that mean i have IGA? i don’t have high blood pressure or diabetes. The doctor recommended a kidney biopsy. I m nervous about that
"Question" for the last 8 months I been seeing bubbles in my urine, on and off,,how ever the bubbles desapear quickly, Kidney function test was good, no protein, how ever my cretaine clearance was 40.35, I'm 60 years old, I'm 5"8 and I weigh 100 kilo,,why are these bubbles in my pee,,please advise
