The chainstays being shorter and the hub of the back wheel being closer to the bottom bracket would make a difference I would imagine. Think about it guys (Phu voice) .... if the bottom bracket is further back than the rear wheel hub then you'd loop out because of the center of gravity.
I used to wheelie anything back in the days, I have a gt street performer and seems really heavy nowadays, can't get it to that level of wheelie, any pointers, love the bikes bydaway guys not to mention that oldschool maxima, 🙌🏿👌🏿💯
I've had one for a while and could never get the wheelie up, ive been looking all over and its nice to know that it's possible. I will definitely practice alot more to do wheelies soon
I thought I’d need a bigger bike for long wheelies but then I got some wheelie pegs on the back of my 20 inch bmx and went for it and realized that i agree with you,It does not matter! My bike came straight up with a pedal and was able to keep it up by tapping the back brake just like any other bike I’ve seen wheelie. Idk how it feels to wheelie on a bigger bike but I’d imagine it’s pretty similar
I could Not wheelie before I bought my first big ripper in like 2017 so the 29” did help me learn but now I prefer a 26” blocks Flyer although it is smaller it’s all about brake control like Ethan said and also how max said the 26” is twitchier so easier to pull up and keep up and swerve
When I worked in a shop, I would jump on anything from our little 12-inch kids bikes up to our 29ers and wheelie around the store. Wheel size doesn't matter, but there are aspects of a setup that can make it "easier" to pop up and maintain the wheelie.
I ride a 32 inch unicycle to work and back every day then i take it on the trails we have here in Washington. I ride my daughters 20 inch and my girlfriends 26 inch unicycles. That said the smaller wheels have more torque and the bigger bikes have more horsepower or speed. Also my daughter swerves hard on her unicycle when we are playing tag she jukes way harder than i can on my 32. That said bumps and cracks are smoother on a bigger wheel. Also confusing fun fact. I can not ride a wheelie on a bicycle but can ride unicycle proficiently. Also my daughter has never ridden a bike without training wheels but she can ride a unicycle down a staircase. Also that said riding unicycle has helped me to improve motorcycle wheelies soooooooo much. I can finally ride standing wheelies and such.
Wheelies on a mountain bike or bigger frame and wheels is smoother and easier, no doubt. Not to mention the sitting position. Doing this standing on a BMX with a slammed seat is not going to be as easy as sitting on a bigger more stable steed
damn.. i watched you and phu tutorial vid before knowing who ethan was lol. Thought he was just a young positive employee, little did i know hes one of the best street riders
Growing up me and my team would wheelie 20s around the city everyone lookednup to us, now kids are stunting on 26+ effortless. The size does .atter but if you learned smaller you can do all. I can wheelie 12" up.
I got a flat tire went to bike shop .he replaced it then a couple hours my innertube just blow off, two times tried to fix it but still tube was exploded it again, my tire is 20*2.4 , what do you think what is the cause?, thanks
Yes but you will riding skinny tires foo sho. I did it on a couple of bikes including my 2013 se primetime bike but could fit a max tire of 700x36mm tire in back but much bigger in da front Frankie.
It went together easily in less than an hour. ru-vid.comUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
Bike size is personal preference . If a 29 was easier then Kurt Osburn would have used one on his world record wheelie from California to Florida . At any rate this was fun to watch . Kurt Osburns wheelie link ...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0e0ZweMdmo4.html
Someone has to say it. Those camo BMX tires are the ugliest god damn bike tire. Also I feel bad for this man he just sounds so tired of life in general.
