Incredible video, interesting such a video is not pushed by RU-vid even the algorithm shows us videos similar to what we have watched, it just shows us videos from the ones we have watched, this RU-vid is shty platform seriously. If you know hom researched been doing about all these. they need to have humans working at RU-vid or better tweaked algo.
I love using Sonarworks and it works very well. However I would recommend using 6db limit to the boosting/cutting as it sounds a little more natural than 12db which is too much boost to get a clean signal in my opinion, plus you have much less gain than usual reducing the signal to noise ratio.
Wonderful video!. However, I have a beyerdynamic DT 770 80 ohm and after the calibration, it sounds super EQd .. like it took off all the energy. It gave more Low boost, but I'm quite confused, I like it more without the sonarworks, but I don't really know If this is a MUST tool. Than ks
Hey @sebaxtian. Thanks for watching. So in general the headphones may sound more dull then you are used to because they have been flattened out. Although it is less pleasing it is more accurate and will help your mixes translate. You can always use the mix knob on sonarworks to dial in the amount that feels good or just learn your headphones and notice how your mixes translate from your headphones to other mediums like a car or other speakers. I am not sure about the samples sounding different.
the peak is around 170 hz, not 120. every line represents 100 hzincrement until it becomes 1000 hz per line, this is always how logarithmic graphs works (i guess that would be log 10)
Thanks by your video! Does this product work internally with an IIR or FIR filter? In my opinion, if it's an IIR filter, it's not worth the price! Unfortunately, manufacturers hide this information and rely on people's ignorance on the subject.
This might be something to ask Sonarworks. It might be an issue with how Sonarworks is interacting with your computers sound card. Always good to uninstall and re install and see if that helps.
Shouldn’t the mic be angled towards the center point of your two monitors? It seems the measuring shows it always pointing towards the center of your listening. Curious how much a difference it will make as opposed to always pointing the mic straight ahead from where you are standing
