@@lofton9959 yeah i do. But that doesnt mean its my house and my income. I just happen to live there. If i were to have no money to my name i still wouldn't you look like an embarrassment
I buy mine from the dollar general stores. My SO isn't into the smell. Too much bothers him so I take 1 tree and cut it into 4 peices and place one under a seat. Still works and its out of sight, oh and not as strong smelling.
@@nikkib473. Dang, Your SO must have hella allergies or sensitivities. Many people's vehicles smell like stale garbage. So, a pleasant smelling ride & residence is ALWAYS a "PLUS" as far as I'm concerned.
Well it's a good idea if you have a gambling license. If not, I bet they can argue you are setting up a gambling machine. Perhaps you can find a loophole to that.
@@The3TH1Cin a lot of areas claw machines have prizes because they specifically cannot offer explicit money rewards. The thing that makes something gambling is you are getting money for it or an item that is immediately transferable into money.
The reason people usually don't have enough money to get one is because by the time they use the quarters and everything else, they don't have any quarters left.
I’d say tell them that one of them has a $20 bill on it and they reload and switch around every time someone buys something, and just never put the $20 bill in there lol
I would spend 10$ on trees if I knew there was a 20$ in the stack of 20 trees. Well, probably not, but someone would be there all day every day with that. More likely, somebody with a lockpick gets to go to lunch on you. Coinopps rely on respect and manners. 1 out of a thousand has neither. And they will just take it. Umm, even a desperado. The good ones don't leave damage.
If your vending machine is located in the state of Nevada and you have a gaming license then you’re good to go. Otherwise I think you’ll be in trouble…
"Hey guys i was wondering, do you think if i turned my car wash air fressener dispenser into a lottery machine, will sales go up?"😂 yea your sales on them will go up, but youll have homless people tryin to get that $20 😂
I may be wrong, but I know at least for our vending business that if you use x dollars with a chance to win more than what you put in, that's considered gambling in most states regardless of how the situation is packaged. Probably not a big deal or noticed by anyone, but it's worth considering if the person that wins the $20 mentions it to someone else and it is heard by an auditor or someone else you wouldn't want to have hear it. Congrats on the car wash and recent new ventures! Love the channel
It wouldnt be a lottery if the person buying knows nothing of the $20 it us just a giveaway. Knowing that you are purchasing a chance at winning something would be considered lottery
Sounds to me like someone in the neighborhood git their hands on a few boxes of air freshners that "fell" off the back of a truck & they're selling them. When we lived in Denver we constantly had to deal with the "ghetto entrepreneurs" who would randomly ask you if you wanted to buy anything from frozen shrimp & steaks to laundry detergent & car detailing supplies. The ones out there selling the car detailing kits in a bucket always made a killing.
How would they know you're even doing that?? Some things just stopped selling because there's better options out there. Trying to make more money by losing money is not a good idea. Invest in a different type of product to sell instead.
Sales are down because people have less money right now. The economy is extremely bad. It's a unique idea but people have to have the money to play your game
On a business perspective I would tape the same amount it takes to buy another freshener. Just enough to Make them use that dollar and keep coming back trying to score again.
Most of those machines jam anyways and of your lose money to it and call the number they tell you to some back a week later... Naw bro I m never comeing back😊
I don't know how many slots there are per vertical section of this machine, but at the moment I paused this vid, I estimated about 15 slots. So assuming you sell these at $1 a piece, the most money you'd make per section is $15, meaning you lost $5 on that specific section. Are you doing $20 per section or $20 overall? Your pricing still needs to be competitive, so the more money you attach to these, the less of a return you might get. This is just the mathematics and business side of the topic before we get into the ethics, legalities, and security of it.
Would you make more in volume sales if the price of air fresheners were lower? Would customers buy 2 at a time if they got a really good price ? Great channel BTW !!!!!!
I never use those machines because I’ve been burnt too many times. I only use the vending machine where I can clearly see that the inventory is stocked.
I think noticed the slot was jammed with quarters so no sales can be made, always check the function of your machine while open so you are sure of operation before leaving
That’s such a good strat, once me and my friends saw a gumball machine that also had 2 dollar bills in capsules, we spent at least 2 bucks on gumballs 😂😂
Reduce your rates by $0.25 and save money this will increase traffic to your bays. Guarentee clean bays, clean brushes and a good amount of time for their quarters. The economy has people spending less on things like car washing and going out as much.
I would offer the air fresheners for a really cheap price. Barely above cost. same thing with the cleaning wipes ECT. I think that would help drive overall traffic. When I go to car washes like that I think to myself I would rather go to Dollar general and buy a big pack or bottle of stuff to clean my car rather than pay 2 or 3 dollars for one.
Depending on your state laws, you could be charged with setting up illegal gambling. There’s a reason you see “No purchase is necessary” when it comes to giveaways. 😂
If you have an automatic wash, instead of cash, throw some passcodes on items people buy, so you lose else and still achieve sells. But you’ll need to advertise it, cause they may think it was just a fluke. Also did someone try to use a slug with those quarters?
F..u got me..clicked on bc I couldn't believe you yourself would ask a rhetorical question as such. I didn't wanted to give you that added view but couldn't help to miss this comment😪😪
I doubt it. Might just increase crime. Sales are probably down because when people are hurting economically, the first thing they're going to cut are luxury services like a car wash out of their expenses. I would also really check with your local laws because that might run a foul of gambling laws.
How could you possibly not know why? I haven’t bought air freshener in over a year for my car and I think about it all the time but we’re in a position where sacrifices have to be made and you can’t prioritize air fresheners anymore even if you bang out 60 hours a week…
Stats nerd coming to say this is genius however you need to post signage that clearly states that most winners will get small bills but as long as the signage is up, there is a chance to win something bigger. The variability of the reward is what makes gambling enticing.
how will they know there’s a chance of winning the $20? put a sign up in the stalls so just no random can come and get it, but people who are actually washing their cars.
How would they know they have a chance other than this video? You don't think sales are down because people have less ancillary spending and they don't see the value in it?
I still wouldn’t go there. Manual car washes are so 90s. I’d rather drive across town to run it through the drive through and vacuum it. 10x more efficient
Dude you could literally tape the amount it cost them to the freshener. Now they know they have a chance at getting a freshener for nothing, and it didnt cost you 20 bucks
You can put a sign on there saying that you're putting a chance to win $20 but don't even bother putting the $20 in..... yeah then you will increase sales a little
So you added gambling to your machine. Is that legal? Cars don't need air fresheners these days, and if they do, they learned that opening them in stages to make them last longer is a thing. Just get rid of the machine
I wouldn’t. But I would try different types of air fresheners that people use today. Not them type fresheners I be seeing new type of fresheners and I see them a lot
