hilarious video, this is what I feared though regarding having Miles and Peter in the same game. I personally love Miles but having both spider-men try to share a spotlight just doesn't work in my opinion, especially when they go the route of having Peter the seasoned veteran "lose" a fight or "need saving" or whatever other out of character thing they do to Peter so the other hero can step up and have the spotlight. Its tiresome. Not to mention the girlboss MJ missions etc. If the games good at least that's all I care but ya. Good video!
Him losing isn't as bad when under the Symbiote control. But it gets old really fast when you realize that they shoved Miles in and he was recovering pieces of Music History and whatever else that had nothing to do with the main plot. Not to mention he had met Harry once and technically a handful of other times but suddenly has this need to be the final stage of the fight after Pete wears him down twice? What would've been better for that fight is have 1 stage Pete, one Miles, and the last stint of the fight be both working together to stop Venom.
@chandllerburse737 fair point but when the only narrative he has is fighting Sandman, Kraven, and then getting stuck on Li for the majority of the game, it honestly feels like Miles could've been handled a bit better. I stand by the last stint of the Venom fight should've been Peter and Miles. Not Pete for 2 stints then Miles getting the last part. Pete, Miles, then both together would've worked phenomenally.
Yeah I know what you mean. Another grievance I have with the game is the gadgets. I miss the impact web and the trip mine, they were so cool. We went from a whole wheel of good and well thought out gadgets to four crappy ones
Loved this game apart from the 2 really woke side missions, it didn't ruin it for me, because I can see why they did it because if it wasn't there people would lash out with "SPIDER-MAN 2 HOMOPHOBIC RACIST ABLEIST AND NON-INCLUSIVE!!!" But fair enough if that killed it for you, I didn't like those parts either. The Hailey mission was just annoying because it was just dead silence for the sake of being inclusive and different, and the one homecoming help mission with miles was so unbelievably in your face, they made sure you knew that those guys were gay and a couple at every opportunity and it didn't feel natural. It's fine to add gay characters, just don't make it weird like that. Other than that, if we removed that stuff it'd be a perfect game (Including MJ stuff because I kinda like it now)
@PTLCtheVoiceoverGuy and this is where the problem lies... catering to a group takes away from everything that it COULD be. If we all don't start saying NO its going to reach a point of no return. I really liked the first one... enough to get the limited edition ps5 for this sequel. Really wish I hadnt.
So glad I didn’t waste hundreds of dollars on a PS5 for this. What angers me is they had the perfect set up to make the game awesome. Instead of letting you play as Venom throughout the game those absolute morons force you to play as Mary Jane. Then have the audacity to make you finish the game with a shameless adidas add that makes no sense then release this buggy piece of shit before it’s even done. I’ve been waiting for this game for years and the only thing I can say they did right was the traversal wtf is wrong with them
Man, you guys are too used to getting crumbs like many have stated this game is nothing more than a DLC with woke garbage and if this game receives game of the year it will be equivalent to giving Bruce Jenner the woman of the year award.
This game is great, the 2 main flaws are the random woke things like the gay couple homecoming thing because its very in-your face, the conversation doesnt flow naturally. I think its cool the characters speak sign language around Hailey but the mission playing as her felt kinda crap. Aside from that, this game is perfect as a spider man game, amazing fights and story, great characters and MJ stealth feels kinda fun in a way. Every main character changes somehow by the end, most become better people because of each other (Peter teaching miles to be spider man, miles saving peter from the symbiote, oeter and MJ fix the issues between them, martin li trying to fix his mistakes) Be greater together applies to most main characters, even venom and harry in a twisted way, but the writing in this game was great, probably the best game ive ever played and would highly recommend
You can tell which people were given a review copy of the game and just licks insomniac's ass and who bought it themselves, cause the story is trash especially after Venom is introduced.
I have my issues with the game and a couple story beats but this game is phenomenal. Those that only play for the story and clock out after 20 or so hrs don't know how much fun this game can be. There are skills I unlocked early on but just blanked on till post game and I'm practicing and experimenting with those skills.
@king666mikey no, he's not. The wokeness killed this game. When I got to the part where they made you play as a deaf black girl spray painting propaganda I was just completely taken out of the game. It only ever got worse after that. 5 hrs of good shit does not outweigh the 25 hrs of trash.
@chandllerburse737 not to mention them having wings was a recent thing, they literally own the rights for symbiotes hence why Venom had his own 2 movies
