Please stop that Incorrect test guys & they don't like to get picked up like that. The Ragdoll test is to hold them on their back like a baby in the crook of your arm & they flop back all relaxed
That sounds way more adorable, to carry them like a baby 🥹 I only had a few cats who tolerated being carried that way, and it was so heartwarming 😻 it is a great honor if a cat allows you to do that
That's exactly what i was going to say I had a ragamuffin I believe probably mixed breed, but he loved being held like a baby. For reference a ragamuffin is pretty much the same as a ragdoll only they have different colors mine was black and white.
Gotta love how there's two basic types of cat personnel. First we have the "this is my baby, he's 70% one breed, 20% the other and 10% the third and he'll only eat this one specific kind of cat food" and then there is "yeah, this asshole climbed my leg at this indian restaurant so we took him home. He's orange and I have to fight him at every meal so he doesn't steal my food."
Support them from underneath _(behind the front legs and in front of the back legs)_ at the same time. Their skeletal frame makes it extremely uncomfortable for them to be held that way.
My mom's cat Yuki is a ragdoll snowshoe :3 she licks to bite, like not hard bites, her bites are very gentle and never hurt. There was no point to this comment, I just wanted to talk about her :3
Comfortable is a relative term in this instance. Does it hurt them though? No, at least in my experience. They have a good amount of muscle on them. Especially in their shoulders, back and legs. My male ragdoll likes to hang like this off one of my flat perches when he is playing “King of the Perch” with my female ragdoll. He is only 11 months old and weighs about 14 pounds but he will latch into the carpet with one arm and use that to hang while he uses the other to bat at my female. He will hang there for like 30 seconds or more with his back feet just dangling there until he can either climb up safely for the win or just drop down. Their bodies are pretty robust, as they are the 2nd largest cat breed behind the Maine Coon. Makes my little Balinese male look like a look like a miniature cat lol.. Even Ragdoll tails feel strong and thick with muscle.
All i know is that at least to my experience, it's normal cat's dont like their lower body hanging out :3 but just pick that up too and give them warmth, they stay with you ♥️
Did you know cats don't like to be held like that? It's uncomfortable to them and they can't always communicate that. All the weight being forced downward.
I think the reason why sushi didn’t pass is because she looked like she was sliding out your hands and you might of unintentionally had her by the arms rather than the body 🤣🤣 I’m sure she’ll pass the next time it also seems all cats hate to be held by arms 😁
The fact on how I have a ragdoll cat and before I saw this video I already knew he wiggled like that(10 likes and I'll say his name 15 and I'll say why that's his name)
I really hope you don’t hold your cat like that anymore. It’s painful. The genetic mutations that cause them to go limp also cause discomfort and dislocations. Dragging their bellies, hoiking their shoulders into unnatural positions is not good for them.
I have a 3 year old boy whose the most sweetest thing ever…. He is 22 lbs (yes , correct 22 pounds ) all fluff all the time even his feet are puffy … you would think he won’t be much of a jumper at 22 pounds ( you would be wrong) He ain’t living if he’s not jumping something impossible but surprisingly most of the time (most find unbelievable with those fluff ball feet but just when I think everything’s coming down) he nails it (most of the time yes sometimes OH NO!!!!)
Soooooooooooooooooo…. I just got adopted a ragdoll, literally a fall into our lap situation.. every time my husband picked up the cat this was what I noticed. 😂😂😂 I’ve never owned one. I’ve never had such a large cat. I’m in awe!
