Thanks for the review! I'd used their 'mini' version wallet for over a year and I liked my one. Only one minus: The leather is pretty high-quality and nice touch but tends to stretch (yes, it is leather) and loosen the card pocket. So I recently switched to the ballistic nylon version and hope it to hold my card as tight as new.
Man I just found your channel and I already bought a wallet you reviewed in another video but I am seriously considering getting this wallet for more formal occasions. Thanks for opening the world of wallets to me.
I've had mine for over 2 years I love it. Quick access you don't have to dig for your cards like a regular bifold wallet and even though with enough cards and cash it's still holds more and is slimmer than a traditional bifold
How do you get around storing coins with this thing? Not that I carry coins anyway, but on that odd occassion you use a note to pay for something.. What do you do with the change, just put it in your pocket?
You have an extensive collection of Pelikan pens, and your M205's finish is unseen of, does not look like a demo as it seems to be marble finishes. I digress, but I cannot help it but to notice your Pelikan fountain pen first... Great wallet review, with very interesting packaging.
Ive been rocking the Carbon Fibre version which I backed on Indigogo or Kickstarter (I dont recall which) for over 4 years now and its awesome! Slightly different and more practical internals on the Carbon version in my opinion, but I dont think that the particular version is available any longer? Thanks for the review! Solid as usual!
This is a brilliant review, thank you so much for uploading it. I’d love to see a comparison between this and the mini as I prefer my wallets to be as small as possible whilst looking great and being practical and I like the look of this one. Also, is there a review of the iclip wallet anywhere on your channel? I can’t seem to find one. Thanks for the great videos!
Thanks! We have the Mini up for review and a comparison of the two already uploaded, they will hit within the next week. We have the i-Clip wallet and have it in the backlog, it's on the way!
Bellroy Designer Edition dropping soon?👀👀 would really like to see a review on it and comparing it to the cheaper version if the Slim Sleve Wallet. Trying to decide which one to buy... and see which one you would recommend.
You're reading my mind! The Bellroy Slim Sleeve Designer edition review is on January 12th and the comparison between the original Slim Sleeve and Designer Edition is on January 18th 👍
I have had an airtag ready wallet from this company on order for several days now... I was feeling pretty good about the company thanks to the overall presentation, but your review and commentary on the overall quality and utility of the wallet have put any doubts I was having to rest. Thanks for the in depth, yet concise and to the point video! A like, and a share on twitter well earned sir! o7
Was looking at these for ages then went off it. lol. I don’t see how you can make a wallet and then say be careful what cards you put near the magnet. Surely that’s a design flaw? I’m starting to learn that I just want absolute minimum and even with my two recent and awesome leather wallet purchases, I’m still drawn back to my MagnusX Ti-wallet. I just cannot settle! 😂 Great review Mark, thx 😀👍🏻
Yes, the magnet warning was odd as it's central to their design, but it's not enough of a problem that it's hurt the brand. I'm working to get a MagnusX TiWallet from Magnus, since he only creates them every so often, you have to be quick or lose the opportunity. The Decadent Minimalist is similar in design and available :) . It'll be published later this month.
Great choice Mark! I wanted one of theirs first, however, the cost to the UK would be too much. The price of theirs is very high I feel for Aluminium (yep, the correct British spelling 😂). Am looking forward to that review. I had a Bogui Clik wallet from KeySmart as well which is virtually the same as the Decadent Minimalist version. They just tweaked the design around, that’s all.
What id really like to add to these reviews(of every day items) is an update after 6-12 months. I have been eyeing the frenchie as a minimalist wallet, but after reading discussions on the internet, i have decided to skip it totally. The leather stretches, the magnets demagnetize your cards, and the straps are held together with glue(lol). The user experience will be significantly worse after a bit of wear and tear, and the price tag is that of a premium product(which frenchie just tries to be).
The cards in the straps seem to be the only things with speedy access. Doesn't really live up to its name, IMO. My Exentri wallet provides speedier access to stuff overal. No floppy flops or magnets risking to damage your cards either.
On the way, I've been tracking it from Colombia. Frenchie were ready when the AirTag came out, but appears to have only build limited runs until they measure demand. It's taken a month from order to get to me.
Or the size of the tab like Trove (perfect for grabbing, but low profile) or how Bellroy really minimizes their pull strap tabs. I really like Frenchie's Mini which is coming up in review in a number of days, but the floppy pull straps are a problem.
Have you heard of Fielder's Choice Goods? People always compare leather wallets to old baseball gloves and their's actually ARE made out of old baseball gloves!
Yes! We have their Classic Zipper model in the backlog. I like the idea of incorporating something unique into a high-volume production, hard to do, but a nice selling point.
Had that happened to me on the mini, and it looks bad and overly stretched, so I got the original size cause I dont want to have to keep cards I don't use, and I don't want them on my wallet so the original size I can manage to keep the 3 cards that I need while I need all the other cars so it won't fall out easily
@@walletopia Do have already a review? I am looking for a wallet to purchase in Portugal. I am a fan of SECRID, but I do not know if they are capable to have a card for AirTag like the Nomad Card.
