Question of the video was.. "is it worth it".. so I can give you some prices.... first of the PSP itself.. a black one in good condition goes for about £80/100 on eBay. slightly more for a white one.. main thing to look out for is the battery.. it's stops holding a charge and then you are lucky to get an hour of play time. A new standard battery will get you about 4 hours of playtime. Cost £9 on Ali express and about £15 on eBay.. next is the dock. It can be picked up for around £30 on Ali express.. "used" and on eBay people are just asking silly money for them £60/100 . Next is the AV cable.. it's around £8 on Ali express don't know the eBay price.. it comes with the component output RGB and stereo output. And one standard video video output "RCA jack".. and can be plugged in to the psp go it's self or the back of the dock. this is good if you want to just dock it and play it like a Nintendo switch with a ps controller.. and lastly the memory card.. they can be quite expensive "in comparison to SD cards" it's around £1 per 1gb on AliExpress.. my PSP has has been modded to take a sdncard.. and has a larger battery.. and I have replaced the screen for a new brighter one.. cost £10 on Ali express.. the original ones can get to look at abit dark after many years of playing.. also sorry if this sounds like an AliExpress ad it's just they have lots psp parts you can't get on eBay/Amazon.. another thing to consider us that it's really easy to flash custom firmware on it and then it's simple drag-and-drop to transfer the games.
Love the break down of prices and where to get the parts. I've heard great things when purchasing from Ali Express so don't worry about it sounding like an ad haha. I loved playing the PsP Go with the PS3 controller weather docked or on the go. Now that I've hacked my PlayStation TV I've noticed I'd almost all but stopped playing the PSP 1000/2000 and PsP Go all together. I would love to battery Mod one of my 1000s and replace the screen.(again the replacement screen was not good from the start.)
I got pretty lucky with my PSP Go I got from CEX. The back was a bit scratched up from the case the previous owner had it in but other than was in perfect condition with a battery that runs and charges without issue. Only paid £60 for it
Don't forget that the dock (or cradle to be official) can also charge your PSP Go while you are playing on your tv if you have a PSP 1000-3000 charger.
Back in the days I had a psp 1004 and got most of my games Digital since no store had most of the games I wanted. When the psp go came out it was a no Rainer to get it, its smaller, the screen is better, Bluetooth and most importantly I could charge it everywhere where an USB port was available since the 1004 I had prior to the go did not support USB charging
I have noticed that if you want to go online with any of the PSP’s, you’ll need an old WI-FI router. The PSP’s are incompatible with modern WI-FI networks.
Yeah I wouldn't want to open up my network to the security risk just for the PsP but if anyone needs to get onto the store and download games it might be worth it.
A good work around is is to create a open guest network on your router and with limited data.. that keeps the bad guys from getting on your main network and is what you should do with all IOT devices. I think the PSP go works with WAP 1 so you could even have some basic encryption on the guest network.
How do you get games on the PSP go if it says on your download zero you cannot download any more games onto your PSP 1000 or 3,000 what do you do to fix that and how can you download games onto the PSP go
If you plan on hacking it totally worth the 50 bucks! There is still a lot you can do with this little guy. If you don't have the PlayStation Vita you might want to look into one of those if you can find one at a good price. If you hack it you can play and download an app called Adrenaline you can unlock the PsP on the Vita and play everything PsP related.
I just got the component cable and sit close to the TV but it doesn't matter because the game is displayed smaller than the screen size so it's kinda like a counter.
I used to stream with the first Elgato HD unit with the PsP 2000 with AV cables so it should work with the PsP Go! If you are thinking about recording footage getting a PlayStation TV and using the Adrenaline hack to open PsP side is a great way to get clean footage!

I'm looking at getting a go tomorrow had a question for you. When playing ps1 games on it with a duelshock can you use l2 and r2 and the right analogue stick
I can’t connect a ps3 controller to my psp go because i don’t own a ps3 it’s stupid that you need a ps3 to concert a ps3 controller to a psp go I don’t see why you just can’t connect it without a ps3
Search on youtube how to connect ps3 controller to PSP go with a PC. It looks like a pain and I haven't tried it but if it's your only option it's worth a try!
I fully agree. If you are wanting to play PsP games and willing to spend $120 to do it might as well buy a PSTV and hack it so you can play everything.
I think you can download them onto your Ps3 and plug the PspGo into it and transfer them over. If you wanting to do roms/iso just plug the PspGo into your computer and transfer them over. CFW is need though.

Gaming in Brazil is a very expensive thing, and it's very difficult to keep or increase a collection with a overvalued Dolar over the local currency, specially if the idea is to have every game in this collection legal. And, after all, to have a gaming room, I need... a room first. 🙄 At least, my collection will have a consolized Hyper NeoGeo 64. 😍 (Yeah... I got it in a time when the Dolar was not so overvalued as now...)
Bom Dia! Yeah.... My girlfriend is from Sao Paulo and when she called her mother last week that still lives there we heard the Real is like 5.50 compared to the US 1 dollar... it's kinda scary. @@phongpham6749 play the best way that fits for you! Enjoy the PsP Go it is an awesome console. I just ended up playing on the PlayStation Vita TV because playing PsP games with the Dual shock 4 is so nice. Plus it's easier recording game footage too
You actually don't neccesarly need the dock/cradle yo connect the PSP Go to a TV, you can just use a compatible cable which idk how hard it's to find but a lot cheaper, the only disadvantage to using just the cable is that it won't charge the PSP Go
They have an off brand two in one cable that charges and out puts to the TV. It's getting a little more pricey though. I wonder how good the signal looks as well.

You can still buy games on the PSP store(it's hard to find a WiFi connection that supports the old PSP wifi though) or download them through the Ps3 store and transfer them over to the PsP. You can go the hacking route and download games. That you preferably own ;)
