The difference is almost *entirely* in the raw drum tone / sounds (The EZ drummer kit vs the real kit) not the room. Those two drum sounds are almost opposites in terms of sonics, especially the snare sound. Sunset Sound Studio Reverb sounds surprisingly great, but it needs to be quite a bit lower in the mix. I'd say when you mix it in, turn it all the way down, and slowly back up until you hear it making your drums sound subtly bigger, and that's where you want to be. You don't want it to "cover" the drum sound as in this video.
It’s not bad. I can put it on while tracking vocals no problem. I use a lot of Acustica Plugins and they are way worse. I love the Acustica stuff though!
Nice video. its not really fair to compare a virtual ez drum sound with a real drummer. Ezdrummer sounds great but to match the real sunset I would have put a bit more compression on the virtual drums and back off the sunset reverb. but great job on both! but the real studio cannot beat the fatness, vibe and depth with in the box
Thank for the advice Patrick. I think your last phrase is backwards though.? The real studio is hard to beat but I really love the plugin. It helps get me back there.
