Interesting, will give it a try for the 1 hour chart and the 4 hour chart as trend reference, or 4h and daily as ref. Writing an indicator for it can be done in a few hours.
The rules you used for a trailing stop were not what elder recommended. I've actually been using his system and variations of it for more than 3 years now. Out of more than 70 trading systems that ive been testing and continue to test this one performs near the top. One thing to note is that ive found it to be very robust over many markets and time frames. It does not do well found below the 15min time frame

Thank you for your video presentation. Very interesting. I have been trying to test 3x MACD time frames for entry & exit indicators, but without back-testing software this is unbelievably laborious. Could you tell me please:- a). What is the Back-Testing software that you are using for this video? b). Have you used any Back-Testing spreadsheet (Excel) VBA program? Hi John, agreed, manual backtesting is simply not the way to go - I use software called Amibroker for all my backtests which is the best solution I've personally come across - granted, it was a very steep learning curve but well worth it. I use VBA for my portfolio analysis and some performance tracking (wrote it myself) but not for backtests as such
Nice video David, I wait for your videos like I wait for episodes of Wandavision lol. that being said I dont like this strategy, I recently combined your moving average channel strategy with the typical moving average crossover one and ive seen some good results.In a very volatile week, it kept me out of some bad trades, but when they both confirmed.. chchchchh ( thats the sound of the money counting machine, ahahah) keep it up, love the ideas you present and I love to see that your channel is growing every week!

I don't get why the candlesticks on the 27th and the 28th cannot be used instead of the 28th/29th pair shown in the video. Is it because the weekly MACD histogram was still negative on the 27th?
