What’s a bigger challenge for you: knowing what is most important to work on next or figuring out when to do it?
Akiflow: akiflow.com/?ref=yzvkztg
Many productivity apps specialize in capturing your to-dos and organizing them into lists and projects. These apps are primarily concerned with helping you prioritize what you need to do. They might have some scheduling features, but that’s not their focus.
Recently, a new type of productivity app has flipped that around. These new apps emphasize when you’re going to do things. They do have lists and projects, but their focus is helping you manage your time rather your *tasks*.
One such app that’s really focused on time management **is Akiflow. Let’s take a look at how it works and see whether it might solve some problems for you that other apps haven’t solved. I’ll also compare Akiflow to Things 3, a very good task management app.

In this video, I decided to highlight every mouse click. I’m not sure whether to keep that for future videos. What do you think? Useful or distracting?

Thought it was great. I meant to watch for it and totally forgot - didn’t distract me in the least

Bro, no matter whichever new shiny app comes up, i always love my things3 😊❤. Reason is things3 looks so clean and minimalistic looking design . Using things3 for more than 3 years and i love it ❤. Learned a lot from your things3 course 🙏which helped me to understand the true value of things3.

Hi Peter, great video and it's made me checkout Akiflow again as had previously used in briefly but went back to Things3. Now that they're using Projects I feel it might be able to replace Things3 so going to run them both to see which fits better. One thing I noticed is you can create headings in projects by pressing cmd + shift + c in the project which will create a new section. Very similar to Things3 layout which is nice

Yes, I just discovered that they do in fact have headings. Thank for pointing it out!

Great review! Although you might have added it does not currently sync with Apple Calendar.

If you're looking for an interesting comparable that does work with Apple Calendar, I invite you to give Morgen a try!

@peterakkies love your videos, but need to add that it doesn't sync with Apple to the review for sure! Glad I figured this out before my "free trial" ended! A no go until they can sync with Apple Calendar!

Hi Peter, fantastic video! Will you be making more video’s on AkiFlow? I would love for you to make a course on it! There is not a single good AkiFlow course out there and your courses are always sublime.

100% agree!! Akiflow's own course does a great job keeping things very brief for feature-by-feature explanations, but I think Peter would really show everyone how to USE it in terms of workflow.

Thanks so much for those wonderful words Jordan. Let's see how Akiflow resonates with people and then I'll consider whether it's worth doing a course!

Great review - unfortunately work doesn't allow third party, non-Office 365 apps to access calendar and e-mail data. As part of these reviews it would be helpful if highlight if the app requires a direct connection (not allowed in my case) vs. can work off the data in the native apps (does work in my case).

Have you made a video about Things 3 on how to best use Start and Deadline or how to plan daily (as you briefly showed in the video with Anytime)?

I think I've mentioned that in quite a few videos and I go over that in detail in my Things course
