@@atolavisuals Trying to decide what gimbal to ask for my birthday next month. Mainly Canon 5D Mark III, 70D and Sony a6400 I would be using. Your video was really helpful and I absolutely love the bloopers @ the end 💋💃♥️👍🏼😎
Loved the behind the scene shots where you showed how each shot was done. I'm really impressed by how well it performed with that shot of you running backwards! Thanks for the review!
Thank you for your thorough review! So many tech reviewers spend too long talking about the equipment, and never showing the controls, or the actual functionality, or only include 10-15 seconds of test footage. I also appreciate that you took the time to explain how you were using the gimbal for specific shots, and then showing the footage! THANK YOU for showing footage that is real time, and not super slow mo! That actually shows me how well this gimbal performs!! (Other reviewers generally just show footage from gimbals in slow motion, or with lots of speed warping... and of course it looks great when you play back that buttery slow motion!) The reality is for what I do professionally, the times I use slow motion are very limited, and finding test footage that is real time has been a challenge!
Your videos are always great for learning keep doing the great work. I have Nikon Z6 and want to have gimbal so I can use my Nikkor 14-24mm with FTZ Adapter for my real estate videography. Can u plz reccomend the best gimbal which will work best with my combo. Looking for your suggestion. Thanks
I just watched 2 of your Moza Air 2 videos and when this one rolled with your bloopers at the end I knew I was meant to be here and subscribe! Blooper reels are my favorites. Thank you for the tutorials!
Loved this. Just ordered mine and found your video to be super helpful. Also, I loved how you went through how you got certain shots. I'd love to see more of that. Thanks!
Love the video and it was instrumental in deciding on what gimbal to purchase. I bought my Moza Air 2 recently. In your review you mentioned that you could charge your camera's battery with the moza Air 2. I've tried doing this on my a7s 2 via the multi usb cable but it does not seem to charge at all. Is there some secret to getting that to work? Keep up the great reviews!
Love your videos! I'd like a gimbal that I can use along with GMaster lenses (including the 24-70) to travel with. I know that you touched on this, but would you recommend this gimbal, given the weight, or would you recommend something like the Moza Air or Crane 2?
Peace!!!! Will this be to heavy to use on a monopod? Or is the moza 1 better in size for monopod use? I definitely want to use monopod with the gimbal...your insight is greatly appreciated!!!! Also mad respect for the eye on how you used the gimbal to get your footage! Blessings for allowing me to tap in to your creative eye. Peace!!!!
Greatly appreciate the thorough review, but even more of the breakdown of the test footage vs just letting it play as a montage. Great gimbal vid and looking to sell my zhiyun v2 for this!
hi im new to this all gimbal thing. my last was a steadicam. and i just got the moza air 2. do you need to really auto tune every time you turn your own gimbal?
🔥video! Awesome job. Love seeing the bts using the gimbal. I agree would like to see programmed settings on the trigger as well but I would get this over the ronin-s hands down. I'm guessing the GH5 would fit just fine. Love your bloopers too btw💯
Not sure if anyone mentioned this so far: Don't update the firmware via app if you have the iFocus attached. It bricks the ifocus immediately and it can only be remedied by waiting for the ifocus motor to die down and redoing the upgrade via Computer/USB.
Shooting a lot with the Zhiyun Crane 2, and on it a GH5 + cage + speedbooster + sigma 18-35mm. Very good performance, sometimes with a mic on it as well. Pretty beefy setup (#gains). It's not mine though. Wanting my own for a while. Thanks for the great and informative review. None of that biased sh*t. Moza is stepping up their game! Like you said, no gimball is perfect. Too bad it doesn't break up in smaller pieces like the Ronin S. Subbed. Cheers from The Netherlands!
Great review. Lots of features that I wish my Ronin S had. For example, the roll lock, the standard mounting point for a friction arm to mount a monitor, on-board controls (I hate having to pull out my phone to adjust parameters). Just a heads up since you mentioned it, the Ronin S has hands-free "inception mode" after they did a firmware update. This being said, DJI's terrible app user experience is a huge reason why I'm switching my main gimbal from a Ronin-MX to a MOVI Pro.
Thanks for all the feedback! That's good to know about the updates. Hope you find the best gimbal for your shooting needs. Sorry to hear you have some issues currently
@@atolavisuals i was meaning as far as motor problems etc. i seen some reviews on b and h and wanted to know if you had similar issues. but if its been working like its supposed to then you got a good one. im about to order mine tomorrow. via your review..
hey there... very nice review... that's why I bought moza air 2...I have one question though: how did you put tilt follow on trigger button? seems not to be possible?
Very Nice! This video was super helpful. I am totally new to gimbals. I just got a Osmo Pocket for work & now I am thinking about getting something for our DSLRs. Thanks!
My new Moza Air 2 was delivered yesterday. looking forward to using it, especially after watching your review. Thanks for the Video, lots of good stuff here.
Great video! I actually bought a used one and it didn't have the quick release plate. Can you recommend a replacement or a link to buy a new one? Ive looked everywhere and have found nothing.
This is my favorite video. Well I did it! I just ordered the Moza Air 2 (for work - I don't own anything it's all at work.........................) Awe man! I'm ultra sorry I didn't use your link. You should be makin money for this vid. I forgot and I ordered halfway through the vid. Hahaha, I just got too excited. Anyway, if it is worth anything. I bought the Moza Air 2 specifically because of this video review & tutorial. THANKS for all that you do.
Thx for the info. I am now seriously considering this gimbal. Btw I just discovered your channel. Loving the color & lighting of your video. Looking forward to future videos 😉👍
Might not be the person to ask but i figured why not seeing that you have the first moza as well. I recently broke my moza 1? lol whatever the original moza before the 2 came out and was curious if you have any recommendations on a shop of some sort that repairs them? Honestly i think i have a motor that's struggling as it keeps messing up after putting it through hell and back. I would love to keep it for travel purposes like you said in your video and other jobs out on the field that would be a little more on the risky side of work.
Love your videos! I found out about this new gimbal about two days ago and it seemed amazing. Now after a few videos, yours being the icing on the cake; Its confirmation that I need to sell my Ronin S for this. I think the feature set is a bit better with the Moza air 2 after the comparison. What bag do you use when you travel with this one or other gimbals🤔. We'll keep up the good work! And I can't wait for more valuable content, thanks
Hey hey! I typically use my Peak Design everyday bag to carry my usuals. I'll take the tripod off and then put the gimbal on the side where the tripod usually goes and strap it down
I have a Moza Air...been really tempted by my peers to get the Ronin-S, since they all have one...which I tried at an event and found the Ronin-S too heavy for single-handed use, especially with the smallhd focus monitor attached. Will definitely be looking into the Moza Air 2. BTW, will this fit in the 30L Peak Design backpack?
Never had a camera gimbal before, but it's on the wish list. And the first gimbal ever I had was a Zhiyun smooth Q, which I replaced for the new DJI Osmo Pocket, that has become kind of my main camera for vlogging recently. Next, stet up with a "real" gimbal for my Fuji camera.
Good work as always, what do you think about the Stedicam Volt? Im looking to get a gimbal for my phones and im not a fan of the weight being on one side.
i bought the moza air (not the 2) for my first gimbal (also because of the price, didnt know if the alsmost 200 euro price difference was worth it. But i got the moza air cheaper . Hope its a good buy. will use it for the first time this weekend . im very experienced with steadycams but this one will be my first gimbal. thanks for all the videos. helping a lot.
I want to decide between the Moza AIR 2 and the DJI Ronin-S. There is a new feature in the Ronin-S which is called "Force Mobile". For me this is a killer feature! Will the AIR 2 get this feature too?
Does this do face/object tracking? For solo filming. Like if I put it in tripod mode and put it on a flat surface and walked away, and I wanted it to follow me as I walk back and forth in a room, skateboard down the street, etc. Or do you have a gimbal you can recommend that has type of tracking? Thanks. Sorry I’m new and not sure what this type of mode is called.
Hey Kitty, could you clarify whether for your Sony A7Riii the Moza Air 2 can both shoot photos and trigger videos? At 2:25 you said it can trigger both recording and photos, but at 10:04 you said the trigger only takes photos (but I think you were referring to just the front trigger button in the latter). Also, could you confirm the same for the original Moza Air? Thanks!
Woot! I'm the 800th like!!! I don't know how I found my way to your page but awesome content! Have you been reading about the a6400 with the flip out screen?
I have a Canon 70D + 50mm Stm + 10-22 USM And I am planning to buy a 2nd hand Canon 6D but I saw the Moza Air 2 which the price is pretty much the same as the 2nd hand 6D. What do you think I should do? And buy? I shoot photo and video. Thank you!
This is such a hard question to answer. I would say if you are getting more into Video, go with the Moza! If you are more into photos, than having two camera bodies helps when you want to grab the shot and not have to switch out lenses. Hope this helps!
@@atolavisuals thank you very much for your reply. I think I will have to go to Canon 6D cause I can't afford to change lens right now. I am new photographer and videographer here in the Philippines for a year now. Since I can still shoot video with Canon 6D. Thanks again! Next time I will a gimbal hehe!
You are like the master of gimbal, you handle a not so light gimbal so well. I bought a ronin s after seeing your vid to double confirm my decision. Haha. Love your vids, and keep it coming and inspire people like me! Happy New year!
Your videos are so fun to watch! Thank you for making it fun. :-) So! My question is: I have a Nikon Z6 and have back clearance issues because I have heavy lenses. I tried the Air but it was too tight a fit. I took off the rubber eye piece and it was still hitting the back motor. So now I'm looking at the Air 2. What do you think?
Yes, I had that problem with the moza 1 too. i had to take the eyecap off all the time. The Moza 2 has lower set motors so you won't have that issue. Hope this helps!
Moza gimbals are very under-rated and overlooked gimbals. It is phenomenal, not only for it's features and capabilities but how it stands out from the rest of the competition mainly due to its bang for your buck price tag. Highly recommend both the Air 2 and Aircross 2 (which I currently own since I prefer lighter builds).
Is there a way to get a video path that loops? the app seems to insist I set a shutter and interval, I am looking to just continue the motion without stopping?
I'm a Moza Air owner and now I'm thinking I want to upgrade. The features and customizations makes this a Pro piece of gear to have. I'll dish the Moza Air off to a 2nd Camera person maybe. I dig that you're a Moza head too. I feel like a lot of people "sleep" on the Moza.
Great vid ... i think i might buy one now BUT ... that epic climax to that B-ball shot with the music stopping & him failing that shot sooo hard hahahhhahaha ... made me lose my $#!T hahaa
2 quick questions Kit-kat, is $599 for the Moza Air 2 (with the iFocus follow Focus motor included) a good price? Secondly, what editing program do you use in the production of your videos? The basketball clip with Brian was awesome and so freak'n funny. Thanks in advance and Have a Happy and oh so awesome New Year :)
Yesss indeed! For this one I used Resolve to try it out. I usually use Premiere. I used Fcpx before I learned Premiere. I did a whole 3 part Premiere series if you want learn more!
@@atolavisuals Thanx for the info, I will definitely check out your "Premiere" series. 3 parts huh 😣 you won't be happy until I'm totally sick of watching your adorable philipina face, video after video after video ..... ehh, well that will never happen 😂 see ya, Peace out !!! 😎
If you could only have one, would you pick this or the Ronin S? I have a gimbal for my GoPro, and have been thinking for the last year or so if I should get one for my Lumix G7...
Im sold very good review best so far on youtube. Lv your in depth step by step shooting review very professional. Hope to get my Moza Air 2 in early July. I shoot video on Nikon Z6.
What are your favorite lenses for the a7iii? I'm looking at the 24-70 kit and picking up the zeiss 55mm, but just wondering if I'm sleeping on something thats better than the 55? I want to shoot video promotions, weddings, and anything in between. Thank you.
@@devonschmitz4113 For sure 24-70. Heres my review and tests with it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sZdk_Gu50aU.html I still use Canon lenses from when I had a 5D...24mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 70-200 2.8, Another Sony thats great is my 10-18mm 4 that I use alot with my gimbal.
You're swinging it so fast and so close to the door. My heart skipped a beat... But the testclip was funny. The more I see things about DJI, the more I feel they're the Apple of the gimbal world. Don't have a gimbal yet, but saving for a Weebill Lab.
sold ! ill grab one of these, my 2 x Crane 2s went back today both had motor issues, 1 burnt out the follow focus on the 1st use at a wedding, batteries drained in under 3 hours, follow focus wheel on one crane 2 fell off and came unscrewed. Overall wasnt impressed, watched quite a few videos on this Moza happy to grab one to test :)
HELP!! For the life of me I cannot figure out how to do a tilt with the joystick while doing a pan in follow mode. Many times I'm trying to do a slow smooth pan and I just want to do a slight tilt with the trigger at the same time and as soon as I hit the trigger, it stops following my pan. There has to be a setting in here to do that!
Hey! How can I use the timelapse mode with Sony A7iii? The shutter doesn't go off on the camera when trying to take pictures. However, the Moza Air 2 continues to move along with preset path during the timelapse. I have A7iii currently on PC Remote Multi and on the Moza, i've had it on Sony- Multi.
Great informative video Atola Visuals. Which connection cable are you using to connect your Sony camera? Moza specifies the MCSC-Multi cable for the a73, but it's very short and does not appear to work.
Just tested it. The MCSC-Multi works with the a73 for shutter and record, but not for ISO, AV and TV or charging. The M3C-Micro works with the a73 for record, AV, TV, ISO and charging but not for shutter. Make sure you select the appropriate cable connection on the gimbal: Menu-Camera Set-Select-either Sony Multi or Sony USB (Also make sure to click right and not the menu button to confirm, which would just abort the selection). On the a73 I turned on Remote ctrl in Setup3 and in Setup4 I set USB Connection to PC remote and Power Supply to On. All the cables are definitely too short, I had to remove my battery grip from both my Sony and my Canon for the cable to reach, huge bummer.
Manuel, thanks for taking the time to provide a really great answer. I will go back and retry the connection cables and setup again. I did have the same issue with cable connector length, far too short, I could barely make them reach all ports-If only they were an inch longer! I did send Gudsen a note on the cable length issue. Appreciated.
@@ManuelRusch Hi Manuel!! have you been able to solve the problem? I have the same issue, I can only start and stop the recording, but I can´t change the parameters (ISO, Av, Tv ...) same with the electronic focus with native lenses, don´t move.. With the Sony A7R II. Any suggestions? Thanks
@@kleinestudio9694 I don't have any problem. Follow the instructions I gave, changing the parameters should work with the M3C-Micro, although it's a bit laggy with the Sony. Firmware up to date? Electronic focus does not work, I don't know any gimbal that can electronically focus with a Sony camera. You'll need the ifocus for that.
