i was drawing (i've wanted to attempt inktober for years, and im finally giving it a try) im at a bit of a roadblock, so i took a break. then, when i opened youtube, i saw you uploaded, which was nostalgic bc you haven't appeared on my feed in a WHILE, and now im watching, being inspired to draw again :) after i finish this video, im probably gonna eat dinner and brainstorm also, your art almost always feel visceral but calculated and (almost) organized, it's always been so cool to watch them form thanks, peter :)

Peter. Now I try to do representational art and "actually learning to draw" in a traditional way because I simply love impressionist and more realistic oil painting landscapes. I was sat on my bed amongst 3 snoring shih tzus passing on wisdom to my 18 year old son; the importance of expressive infographic type note taking for his brainstorms. The excellent properties of the micron pen as a starting point for the process. This brain train led me to show him your videos which then led to shared enjoyment of your content. I had somehow forgotten how much I enjoy listening to you speak.

Hi Peter! Your tendril always reaches me. Thanks for asking how we're doing! Before I watched your video today, I went to make breakfast, but spent 2.5 hours in an ADHD/OCD cleaning frenzy in the kitchen before turning the compost and piddling about in the yard for a bit. Then I spent a few minutes chatting with a couple of my housemates (I have 7 now, I moved out of a ten year stint of serious isolation and into a house full of fellow neurodivergent queer/trans folks and it's been life-changing. It's so healing, I don't even have words...) about upcoming house meeting things. I played with the new dog for a minute. Then I finally finished making breakfast, which I am now eating as I watched your video. After this, I'm gonna work on a charcoal drawing that I started like 2 years ago and has just been sitting around waiting for attention. It's a flowy abstract without a real plan and I'm trying to get some nice bold contrast and dramatic shading. I hope the rest of your day was comfy and pleasant. Take care, bye! Love, Wolfy

Hullo Peter, I do enjoy your drawing, I am not sure why you have never topped the 1 million mark for subscribers. I saw you climbing after 500k and just before hitting that mark I thought for sure you would hit the million subs! Do you think it is your laid-back attitude? I just wish people would share more of your videos and get you there! Your drawing is truly a phenomenal achievement and your other mediums are quite well done as well. Sculpture and paintings have come so far too! Well I am hoping you get there I believe you deserve the recognition from the RU-vid "counters" for all of the business you have sent advertisers way! You have been at this for quite some time and I applaud you and your "stick to it ness" or is perseverance a better way to go? Please keep doing what you do and hopefully more of your viewers will get some shares going and get you those subscribers!

So right before watching this video I was getting my dad settled in for the night. He's bed-bound for the time being, we don't know if its long-term or if he'll improve with physical therapy. Anyway, I was getting him ready for bed, which includes alot of not so pleasant medical things, and then kind of just getting him comfy so he can watch TV until he wants to sleep. Then I got myself settled in to try and relax for awhile and this video popped up.

Your work is amazing! I keep trying to understand how you combine large white spaces with dense blacks - and vary the object shapes so clearly. I loved the video about adding depth, but I can't get to your level. Do you also use vanishing points for the impression of depth?

I guess it’s a kind of voyerism, all of us looking you while you can’t see us. It’s a strange dynamic for sure. You had told me that you were so excited about this, that you had went to check if I had actually purchased the drawing, but I hadn't. You were fooled by by the hand of a young, duplicitous individual. I would like to formerly apologize for this and I hope that you can forgive me.

Was playing video games, now relaxing before bed

I skipped my coach's birthday reunion last Saturday for the fear of feeling out of place and not knowing anyone there. If I had watched this video before (which would've been impossible because it wasn't uploaded yet), maybe I would've attended the reunion. Though, to be fair, I still think I would've felt out of place and depressed because I can't strike up conversations.

I am actually in one of the only parts of Florida that wont be affected by Hurricane Milton but I'm a Hurricane Michael Survivor which was a cat 5, my heart hurts for those who have been effected by all of these storms i know what it's like our house was destroyed by two massive pine trees I literally thought I was going to die.

Some individuals may spend a good portion of their life feeling isolated or "different" from the majority of people around them. When they stumble across another individual or kindred spirit, the feeling they may get is almost overwhelming. You realize you're actually not completely alone and there is someone else out there that does understand you. I may be wrong, but I've been in that situation and just meeting someone for a few minutes had me choking back tears, feeling like a complete creep.
