Thank you so much for this video!! when i first got this humidifier it was not working, so i took our the cotton thing and the spring fell out and i out it back in the wrong place and thought it was broken and had to return, but i found this video and learned it actually goes under the cotton instead of on top and now it is working fine.
My original intention for this humidifier was to use it for plants that require high moisture levels. After using it in my room, ru-vid.comUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj however, I think that's where it is going to stay in the fall and winter season at least. The increased humidity in my room made the room warmer and more comfortable. I had first ran the humidifier for 4 hours with the timer setting for it. After the first hour, I checked my room and can feel the difference. When the full 4 hours was up, I checked again and noticed that the humidifier was shut off as it is suppose to. The moisture level never seem to get passed 56/57%. I then let it run until all the water is used up, which it wasn't all used up. There are still some left in the base that you are not suppose to add water to. I filled up the water tank all the way again, being careful when removing it from the base. Some left over water may spill out. After putting it back on and setting the unit to auto, I let it operate. It didn't stop running, rather I don't know if it did at any point since I didn't check it regularly, for 24 hours after which the water in the tank ran out. The moisture reading never passed 56/57%, which may be a good thing for me. Being situated right next to my bed, the noise was not very noticeable with the occasional water gurgle from time to time as the unit ran.
Thank you so much for saving me money. I was ready to ditch the device however your troubleshooting has been crucial in helping me realise there was a missing spring. It must have fallen when I was changing the filter, which is why my device wasn’t working. I retrieved the spring and Wala 🎉. I had read several reviews on Amazon cautioning people against buying H2O and I wonder whether this missing spring could resolve the issue???? Thanks for the review, it was very helpful and has made a very satisfied human😂

I have one that I move between my desk and my bedside table, and neither surface ever gets wet. In fact, I write with pens and paper within 18 inches of the mist, and it's never been an issue. If yours is making the surfaces wet, either your room is already humid enough to not need this, or it's malfunctioning! I bought this one specifically because reviews said their desks did not get wet.
I bought the product on December 2020. It stopped working suddenly. I checked the cable and wiped the mist hole but still it wouldn't mist. Can you suggest what else I need to check to make it work again?
Yo, just to say that I came here trying to troubleshoot a different humidifier brand, and the comments here talking about proper spring placement actually helped fixed my humidifier too. So in summary: check your springs!
Mine just arrive few minuets ago from amazon.. I keep waking up in the middle of my sleep,,i have dry lips and dry nose....hopefully this small guy can give me a good night sleep.
mine stopped working after 3 months. I tried cleaning the tub with vinegar-soak, also replaced the cotton filters...but it just does not work. Can I put vinegar in and run the power - maybe that will clean the electrodes?
Naresh Lal thank you for your demonstration and explanation. My problem is, while changing the coton filter, I put inside the stick the cotton filter and then the spring. I closed it. Only then I found the mistake. I was able to unscrew the stick, but I cannot pull it as it got stuck! Any tip as to how I could pull out the stick? Thanks for your help!
Great video. I've had mine for 6 weeks and not the mist doesn't come out. How do I clean the hole on top? Looks like hard water deposits get in,on the hole. I used vinegar and still barley any mist comes out?
Hi, I’ve had mine for about a week now, and is a SmartDevil H2O Humidifier. Here is what I recommend you to do. 1- Make sure before you turn on your humidifier for the first time and as well after every time you replace your cotton filter to soak in the cotton filter in tap water for 3 to 5 Minutes. How do you do that? Once you open your humidifier you will see one plastic thick stick and basically you need to twist clockwise the plastic stick and pull it out carefully! Once the plastic stick is out you need to take the cotton filter out from the plastic stick, Then you will need to soak in completely the cotton filter in tap water for 3-5 Minutes. (Make sure you don’t lose the spring that’s inside the plastic stick) (Without the spring the humidifier won’t work) Lol. Please Note: That if you don’t soak your cotton filter for the first time and after every time you change your filter basically when turning the humidifier on what your doing is besides putting a dry filter you’re making a drier filter “worse” which will might super hot. Why I said that, Because once the humidifier is one the heat will hit the filter and it will prevent it from producing mist and instead your filter will get hot and super dried. 2- Do not use bottle water Use only TAP WATER. Because otherwise minerals will “Clog” The filter and that’s also a reason that will prevent it from producing mist. 3- I’ve seen a lot of people using essential oils but I do not recommend using essential oils since it will obstruct your humidifier filter from producing mist as well. But hey, is up to the customer. :) 4- and last but not least Change/Replace Your filter every 1 to 2 months or whenever you think it needs to be replaced. But I recommend you doing it every month at least. * You can buy the replacement filters on Amazon. :) So, Basically Soak the filter in tap water for 3-5 minutes, Use tap water Don’t use essential oils. And Change your filter when needed. Hope this helps.
Mine isn't working. I brought it 2 days ago it was all fine until the 2nd night I used it. There was a lot less air coming out of it. Then it lasted about 20 hours and we noticed barely anything was coming out of it. It was full, but not to full. About 3/4 and then we cleaned it. Now nothing is coming out when I press it just 1 little squit and that's it. Then it stopped. Please can you help and suggest anything that can help
first try to press and hold power on button for around 290 second if not reset this mean that sensor stooped working send it back as you mentioned you bought it 2 days back

I bought this cause I thought it was wireless, like charge with usb then take off and it works , nope gotta keep it plugged in with a usb, very disappointed. But all and all, still works. Just need to get more replacements
What does it mean when the top flashes orange 3 times? Mine seems to keep cutting out and stopping then flashes orange 3 times from the top, not the usb port and orange not red.
So, how do you clean it? I can see its easy to clean the inside where the water is held, a little vinegar and a rub. What about the inside of the top where the water is pressed through into mist? Is that cleanable.
I have the same trouble. I was thinking to use isopropyl alcohol and gentle rub with cotton swab but i dont know if these could damage the piece. Stills working btw without cleaning or any maintenance
did you do a comparison to the base humidity in the room compared to certain intervals of the device being on? like, humidity level after 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.

Sin filtro no hay humedad. Entonces, el aparato no va a poder sacar el agua en roció. Si usas los aceites esenciales entonces corre el riesgo que los aceites obstruyan/bloqueen y no permita que el filtro absorba el agua. Básicamente es como si le hiciera una capa en la que no deja que agua pase por el filtro.
@@gnzflorcis de nada! Pero a tu pregunta la respuesta sería no. De lo que he visto, estos aparatos usan ese filtro. Sin el filtro el aparato no puede crear el roceo
I say it needs to be cleaned when you look in at the filter and it’s orange like. Also don’t be silly like me and not properly disinfect it because it made me sick!! And only use distilled tap water will leave a white reside which breeds bacteria and microbes which can most put into the air
When I opened mines I seen a clear round seal that wasn’t there before I used the humidifier, where does it go? I’ve read the instructions and it doesn’t specify where it goes either.
Mine is still going, this one is better usual complaint people have is leak around ecralick tank and i have seen this my self too in some i had reviewed
@@andreassefu1695 i’m not sure but make sure the spring is the wide side facing down and make sure the humidifier isn’t blocked and there is enough fluid inside
