Night crawler is like an action scene but if it were an entire movie summed up into one song with no pauses and all action I love it so much. It doesn’t slow down for anything and if anything the instrumental pauses ramp it up for more intense moments. And sosa has one of his best verses oat on that track

He didn't even talk about Ok Alright and Never Catch Me, they are insane songs too.

Easily one of the most important & best trap albums ever created. As an audio engineer I’m constantly revisiting this record and using it as a reference when mixing trap music.

Rodeo is the illmatic of trap music

I remember being like 17 years old going with a group of friends to the Toronto show on his Rodeo tour in 2015 and it was fucking crazy. Some dude was straight up selling Molly at the doors and security didn’t gaf, Travis brought the Weeknd out and for an R&B artist dude went as hard as the crowd. Kids were spazzing out on the floor, and Travis just screamed every chance he got. The night show was an experience…

Wasted is his most underrated track imo. Love how grimy and dark it is, and the Juicy J feature is fantastic.

This album has aged incredibly well, still one of the greatest Trap Albums of all time.

I Can Tell gets overlooked bc of where it is in the tracklist but one of the best songs on the record.

I think the power and absolute wall of sound that is Nightcrawler is what I most enjoy. It's so grimy and industrial, feels like a power trip or being in the depths of a drug-fueled night out. One of my favorite tracks.

A trap album that will probably never be topped, this is truly peak trap, and I'm sorry I understand the Nightcrawler criticism but for me it's top 5 Trap songs ever ITS SOOOOO FIREEEEEEE

I actually like Nightcrawler just rushing in like that. I just can't get into Wasted much. It's alright but by far the worst for me. Flying High is incredible, and I don't get the hate lol. Almost a 10, just incredible.

Totally agree with everything here. I used to have a few tracks on here that i'd consider average or below average but as time goes on, this album continues to prove how amazing it really is and there's not a single track that is anywhere below great. The insane soundscape of Rodeo has never been replicated or even been attempted to be replicated due to just how specific and fitting it is for Travis. I genuinely can't see a dimension where any other artist could make Rodeo besides Travis Scott. It's a 9.5/10 but I see it becoming a 10/10 as it ages.

9/10 without a doubt, the lyrics are meaningful yet so…so simple and it makes it so digestible with beautiful psychedelic production allowing neither the lyrics nor the production to outshine the other but rather for them to work together to create such a vivid psychedelic experience. It is without a doubt the greatest Trap album of all time, and at this rate it is never getting topped.

The term “timeless” gets thrown around, rodeo is a true timeless album that started so much for music whilst having sounds that never made it out of this album. Nightcrawler was the hardest song at the time for my friends and I, good fuckin times man

The second half of Oh My Dis Side is SEVERELY UNDERRATED, the transition, the heavenly ascending instrumental, and when that shit hits it’s genuinely one of my favorite moments in any travis song ever besides the second half of 90210 and MY EYES

i dont agree with the nightcrawler term, i think nightcrawler is good cuz it's just constant chaoz. It doesn't need no introduction it's supposed to throw you straight it and throw you off guard. But that is just my opinion. Great review though Rodeo is one of my favorite records ever so appreciate it man.

I didn’t realize how early I was, I always expected anthony to review rodeo again when it turned 10 cause honestly I thought that a 8/10 as good as it is was a low score, and knowing Anthony and his standards and seeing the scores for astroworld and Utopia, and seeing how he talked about Rodeo every time he mentioned it, I always came to the conclusion that Rodeo must’ve grown on him and this is definitely the confirmation. So now we can all agree that rodeo is the best Trap album ever

I went to the Utopia tour on Thursday and was lucky enough to hear 6 different songs from rodeo in person! Great time!

Hard to choose a favorite but I have to go with Never Catch Me, it's such a mood-setter. Gets me in the zone, kind of sad Melòn didn't speak on it. Complete disorder amongst the realm.

Ik I’m in the minority when I say that I wasn’t into Rodeo that much, but regardless, 90210 is in my top 2 Travis songs of all time. The story it tells coupled by the beat and its switch almost made me cry listening to it. Perfection.

Glad your opinion of Piss On Your Grave has improved. I'm not even a massive fan of this album, but that track was always a clear standout to me, along with Antidote, 90210 and Apple Pie.

I feel like fantano was more dismissive of the tracks on utopia. Like utopia still has the journeys he’s talking about. Whether it’s my eyes or delresto. And his hooks still go crazy like on I know.
