Tyreek Hill agreed to a four-year, $120 million dollar deal with the Miami Dolphins yesterday after they sent five draft picks to the Kansas City Chiefs for the superstar receiver in a surprising trade. The new deal makes the NFL’s fastest man the highest-paid wide receiver in league history. It's a big loss, but he wanted to leave so you get something for him as opposed to next year he's a free agent and he walks and you get nothing! Of course he's going to be missed, but next man up. Every player thrive different on different teams some good some bad. So we will wait n see about that outcome. I'm not worried at all. We still got the best qb n tight end in the league!

It’s absolutely a huge loss. But in context it makes sense. A WR is much easier to replace than a franchise QB. You can live with it because while it sucks to see him go, they at least got big compensation in return compared to what a GB got. There isn’t a replacing Tyreek though. Huge loss but in context of the contract etc it makes sense. They’ll likely be worse this year, but with solid drafting I think they can win the trade long term.

The sad part is even if Tua succeeds they'll just say "his offense was loaded! Anyone would be able to win with that team". Bottom of the tier line and on average only about 2.8 seconds to get a pass before the defense is on you.

I feel the plus side is, the receivers the chiefs have now will learn the system they have fresh. I can't tell you how many blown and dead plays between Pringle, Robinson, and Hill. They were moment players. Small in physique, if you haven't seen the average cb or nickel the smaller receivers have no chance..

I hate the trade very much but I'm looking at it differently than anybody else and it's really nothing to do with Mahomes because this can make Mahomes even more lethal. It more to do with Andy Reid. Since Mahomes took over Andy has been gun blazing with deep pass and little to no balance with running and chain moving pass plays until this past season because of defenses taking Tyreek out and they were doing it with single coverage but with a 2 man saftey look. Mahomes got so much better playing small ball and in the AFC championship game it blew it because he went back to deep ball with little to no running. It's time for Mahomes to earn his contract and also to get Andy back to play balance ball lime he did with Alex but still have Mahomes elite throwing abilities.

it seems with all of our moves we’re looking to become a true perineal franchise built around mahomes. other players ask for too much pie and they’ll get served out. we seem to draft exceptionally well aside from the wr position (aside from hill, speed > receiver imo). rebuild the ship and when it looks like it’s our year we strike

Tua has had the worst offensive line in football in Miami. I don't know what the media can't grasp with that. He has less then 3 seconds to throw the ball nearly every single play. Give the kid a bit of time an we are going to see what he's got in that arm. Looked pretty good at Bama throwing to track stars when he wasn't getting hit before he could take 3 steps.

Ok i know we are gonna miss Hill's speed but i did some research on last season and take a look at these numbers: 1. Mahomes 4,789yds 37 TDs 2. Hill 111 Catches 1,228 yds 9 TDs So by these numbers Hill accounted for 25% of Mahomes passing yds and 24% of his passing Tds. I think we can find at least 20 % of that production on both sides with other players. Just my thought process 😁

Tua is now in a make or break season. It's either win and get in playoffs or miss the playoffs and get kicked out the door. That being said I would not be surprised if Teddy gets the starting job at some point this season.

Andy Reid also picked Donovan McNabb 2nd overall and passed on Ricky Williams. McNabb had a good career went to 4 straight Conference Championship games and when he had a good Receiver in T.O. went to the Super Bowl. People didn't see McNabb having that type of success before the draft.

Clemson exposed Tua in the Championship game. Nobody wants to talk about it. Alabama had players leave because Nick didn't pull him. He was quick to pull Jalen the year before but didn't pull Tua. Jalen came in the SEC championship game and helped Alabama defeat Georgia. Kirk Herbstreit called Tua slant passes during the game. A slant pass is not a read people. Tua already knew where he was going. That's why receivers were playing rock, paper, scissors.

I think a better way of putting it would be “less failure”. Tua sucks and probably won’t use Hill correctly. At the same time, you know damn well Mahomes will miss Hill getting him free yards and touchdowns. In addition, the double coverage Hill would attract.

This is chicken or egg moment now, between Ma-Hill (my QB-WR combo name for Mahomes and Hill) and I'm so sad that I'm probably never going to see them play together again unless it's in the pro bowl. However to answer this question Shannon killed it, because Hill is not in a situation where the QB can get him a ball that's more than 30 yards down the field. And Mahomes still has Travis Kelce who's a top 3 TE in the league if not a top 1 TE.

It's not so much that Mahome's has Kelce, but it's that at the end of the day Tyreek still needs someone to actually throw him the ball. And that's exactly the problem. Not saying he's all of a sudden going to fall off a cliff bc Tua's his QB. But like Unc said, he's just not gna be getting those throws coming his way that he would with Mahomes. Mahomes on the other hand is still the man with the ball in his hands. And at the least, if his numbers are down, which they inevitably will be, you'll still be able to make the case that oh well, this guy had this many dropped passes, and/or this guy just can't run this routes for him. 🤷🏽‍♂️

If tua can be what we hoped he’d be they could go deep in the playoffs. The rest of the team is loaded on both sides of the ball.

Now, if the Dolphin's had Marino at QB, this move would make sense. Why bother with a deep threat, without a big arm. Although Tyreek is a slot WR, so maybe they are going to throw a lot of short slants with Tua's arm and Tyreek is going to get the you know what knocked out of him all year long. If he gets injured, loses his speed, he'll be just another undersized receiver with good, not great hands.

Patrick mahomes will be fine. Patrick mahomes has a passer rating of 103.1 1737 yards 8 tds 1 int in 5 games without Hill this is not including games Hill started and was on the sideline. Hill will be missed he has been amazing to watch. Give mahomes really good route running able to get themselves open type of receivers and mahomes will find them.
