I had made the mistake last time I grew out my hair of not layering it for a while. After I did it was so much easier to work with. This time since I'm growing it back out now I'll take care of that earlier in the process so styling it at the different stages will be much easier.
@@peeper2070 So at 7 months I can reasonably assume you have roughly 3.5 - 4 inches of hair. At that length I'd say have it textured which is almost the same as layering and that should make your life a bit easier.
@@best.clips1730 man.... You might not even need a heavily layered haircut. It all depends on your hair and growth patterns and the style you / style that suits you. Only advice I can give you is go somewhere that is appointment only
I think I definitely need layering done on my next haircut. My hairs very long and thick, also it’s all one length meaning it looks pretty dull and flat. I’m not sure what to ask for though, as I want face framing pieces but I’m scared they’ll give me a fringe😅
It's too damn hard to find a barber that can give you an undercut and also know how to layer the top of your hair....i live in NJ i think i may just go to this guy's salon lol
Yo your videos are the best legit saved my hair lol. I was gonna buzz my hair because it mad long and I can’t go to barber because of my family being high risk, but me & my mom learned to cut hair from watching your videos. Lol I got that tiktok hair style now 🙏🏼💇🏻
This is the video I needed to see. Thank you, I am growing my hair and I think my last trim/clean up was back in September '20. 1 year of hair growth down.
I think layering looks its best on straight hair.. Watching live tennis, Rublev a Russian top ten, is suffering too much layering, he's got wavy nice hair, looks too untidy now..
I have found your videos and have subscribed Extremely great videos and clear and concise information You have been so helpful and very detailed in explaining what you are doing and why I am not a hairstylist Thank You
But what exactly IS a layer. A before shot of some hair on a head, and after, where youve layered just that one part would be good. And what part would you want to be "layered" the top buts you see or the undergrowth lol
Please do a "hair metal" haircut again, but with longer hair on mannequin. That last one mannequin in this video has a short hair, but I would really like to see you doing that kind of a haircut with longer hair.
Can you layer hair when trying to grow it out or is it better to just wait it out? It is very thick and I want to create movement and flow, but afraid to lose too much length.
I used to have long hair and they always put in layers because my hair is very thick. I always hated them though and made it look like an old ladies haircut
Is getting your hair thinned out the same a layering or completely different? If so, would you always recommend getting your hair layered every time you get a haircut?
I have long layers but sometimes I want some hair cut where it’s disconnected round my face and neck but keeping the rest of my hair long everywhere else. My hairdresser rarely wants to do this for me. Could you do a video on disconnecting some hair in a hair cut and explain the theory behind this technique? I have really long layered hair but I always need more bounce/movement round my face otherwise it drags my face down and the best results for me is to disconnect some hair from the usual layers, (I usually end up doing it myself). Thank you
Can u please do the supergirl haircut. Please please I’m a hair dresser and I love your videos. It would help me so much. She was in the flash movie. Thanks
I understood layering is above the ears, 45° up, and used to cut females because the haircut gets round and feminine. 45° down under the ears is graduation. Used for men. So men are cut straight to the side, or straight up to get the male look. Is this correct?
i understand about the layer cause i always layering my hair cause i got thick hair. But after i layer my hair, i ask my barber for jist a little trim at the end to clean it up. But they always trim more than i ask i dont know why and make my hair a lot shorter 😫. Ny place not have so many barbershop that give good fade cut. I love the fade he did but he sometimes always meesed up my top 😡
Bro my curly hair which is a bit wavy I can’t tell if it’s even layered since the curls just ruin it it’s always heavy and it’s hard to tell about their length always dry and I can’t find the good shampoo
Mans is making me regret my hs decision of no haircuts 🤣🤣 the long hair was me i just knew about texture not about layers so my hair was bad but girls loved it regardless 💀 Class of 2019 🔥
If I have a bit of flat head and wanted to a layer. I wanted to have a bit shaped at the back of my head, do stylist automatically know that it should be shaped at the back?
