Switched to the X-Impact 300 spine this year, 28.5 inches, 135gn Iron Will Snyder core single bevels, 25gn as collars, Silent Knight 2.0 glow vanes, Halo nock…432 grain total with 17.5% FOC and 292 fps out of my Lift 33 set at maxed out 65# mods at 67#, 30” draw. Probably my fastest and best shooting setup of my 40+ years of archery hunting! Great content, you inspire this old guy!
This had been me, but I went away to my states law enforcement academy, and came away with a shoulder injury from boxing. I can shoot my bow, but I don’t want to push it. Prior to leaving for the academy, I had been shooting 3Ds every Sunday since January. If I can’t use my bow, it’ll suck, but I’ll have my crossbow as back up and rifle as well. Sucks because I had gotten a new bow, an Elite Era, to use this year.
I start physical therapy on my shoulder in 2 weeks. I'm going to keep a positive mindset and I keep telling myself the more I push myself through therapy the quicker I can get that bow back in my hand. It's probably going to be 5-6 months but I'm gonna keep positive. Let's gooooo!!! 💪
Nice video!! Have you had any problems with your lift? Just got mine and have been seeing people complaining about limbs cracking. Keep up the great videos
If you wanna really shoot with ticks and humidity let me know. Shot last week at 90* with 80% humidity. We have ticks to spare if you want to bring some home with you
Is it just me but I remember being in the woods from sun up to sun down and never heard of ticks. Wish we could get an explanation of where they came from. I’m an avid outdoors men and it sucks you have to worry about ticks the whole time.
My job is super accommodating I told them I need an hour or more to shoot my bow everyday at lunch doesn't take additional time from the fam win win. Keep up the good work!!!
Im excited to see your new setup man. Pat, I usually shoot a minimum of 15-20 arrows a day but probably closer to 40 or 50 all throughout the day. I work from home and I can shoot out my back door or off my back porch throughout the day. Anytime I have free time. I just walk by take a few shots. My bow sits in the kitchen. Thanks man. I appreciate everything Dan. I love what you do. I've learned so much and you drive me
Dan, you hit it right on the head with this one. Yea I can hit 12’s and all x’s when I practice in the backyard, so I take my target down to the woods and ditch by the house and get my angle and shaded shots. Definitely has helped my game.
My lunch break consist of hammering down what Litt food I have and a bottle of liquid in 15 minutes then back to sweating my nut sack off. Wish I could shoot bow for an hour every day. We all choose our profession 😉 not mad at ya
Hey Jeff, do you have any videos of your editing process and/or apps you use? Would love to see the behind the scenes to the creation of ElkShape videos. Love the videos and content! Separation is in the preparation!
Hey there! Thanks for watching - I edited this video using Davinci Resolve - we start filming when we know the title of the video, the hook, the pay-off...basically the message we're trying to convey. Jeff is working on the Elk Immersion Series - just saw a sneak peak, should be what the people want! -Dan
Ha! My "lunch break" consists of me driving to a little range I have marked out on some nearby BLM... Shoot one cold shot from whatever distance I decide.. usually 40, 50, or 60yds..then shoot the cycle (20-60) twice 5 arrows each... Jump in the truck and back to work.. then eat my lunch at my desk...😁
Not sure if you’ve tried it but I just put grip tape where your fingers go on my Carter Too Simple and like it so far. Helps with moisture from slipping and the cold
It’ll be interesting to see how the Landslyde sight does throughout the season. Like yourself I really like the housing. I have a custom 5 pin configuration as well as a custom 3 pin configuration. I can swop out between the two utilizing the quick disconnect block they offer. It’s quick and solid. Shoot straight Dan. Charge on sir.
Yo to see you behind the scenes of their podcast is dupe. Pretty funny when you just pop in someone else’s videos. Awesome lunch break, may have to nock a few when I come home for lunch. Awesome video
Spray your close with picaridin spray no more ticks then put sawyer bug lotion on and your invincible. I out in nasty brush all day and don’t get one single tick.
