Thank you Dr. Sue we have been trying to figure out what to do with a nasal bloody tumor, which has gone away 2 times years before. This time it is very large and looks like it is breaking skin around that one nasal cavity. She is 12 and a Boxer and is having problems with stairs now so we don't wish to do chemo, or invasive surgery. We just lost another one of our Boxers in October from Cancer. Dont want her to suffer, but she still has so much spunk. Thank you!
Thanks for doing this video and discussing cats and dogs together; the symptoms are the same, and -- because it's so rare -- you can't find ANY information about cats! Everyone should know, though, that the prognosis for this cancer is very, very poor; at the most, you'll just extend your pet's life by a few months. My cat has all the symptoms, but I'm not putting either of us through the trauma or expense of diagnosing or "treating" it. I'm just managing him medically as best I can.
My girl Sasha was diagnosed with a sinonasal tumor in November 2019. She developed a lump on her head and that was how we found out she had the cancer. The other symptom she had was the reverse sneezing. She underwent stereotactic radiation in December and has been doing well since then. She has developed dry eye because of the radiation and is not the best patient, but we are trying to get the drops in her eye. Thanks Dr. Sue for the video.
11-year-old miniature schnauzer that has been on grain free and raw air dried and schnauzer approved homemade food her whole life. And she recently died of pancreatic and liver cancer. With diabetes triggered towards the end. We never gave her sugar or pork. I don’t know what else I could’ve done. I still have a 10-year-old boy mini schnauzer. I do not want him to end the same fate. And I gave them neutro enzymes/decimated beef liver supplements , MCT oil or cod liver oil on rotation. I also give them bone broth I make very lean. I don’t know what else I can do. I’m homebound (8 yrs now) so I have been w them constantly. The only thing I can think of is that I live in a coastal urban area and when my daughter takes them for a walk they may be exposed to other peoples yard chemicals. I’m at a loss. Heartbroken and scared and frustrated.
My 12 yr old papillon was diagnosed with malignant nasal cancer. After surgery it was confirmed malignant or we might of done differently.. it was located above the right eye about golf ball sized. After removed it seemed like he was in good shape but several weeks later we got a call that it was cancerous... with not treatment.. the wound healed up and within a couple days a new swelling started in the corner or the eye.. it moved from that location back to above the eye several times like it was a fluid and when it was draining it was sometimes greenish in color but mostly clear. I have called back the vet who did the surgery knowing that it will likely return and 8 am unable to get any answer or call backs with out making a appointment. A frustrating situation as he is now draining clear fluids into his sinus which is problematic to say the least as he does not understand how to get rid of the fluid. He kind of sucks it into his throat out often which has caused some diarrhea he also sneezes when on walks and that relieves the fluids as well. One odd thing while in Vegas last week I put him in a dog hotel and when I picked him up 36 hrs later his swelling had went to near zero. But it seems it is back with much more drainage. Any thoughts or ideas, I can send all the work up from the Dr if it would help, it was a fair amount of test. He does have a heart murmur but came thru the anaseptic just fine. Woukd love any recommendations other than he is terminal which is what my vet told me after taking 3k to remove it. And seeing your site it just seems like the right forum to ask these questions, intuitively it seems like the area between the tumor and the sinus is completely open were it was not before without some bleeding, alsomit seems like his drainage has went up a great deal and even though it is going into the sinus he has swelling both in the corner and above the eye, does he need something to fight infection? Perhaps something to dry his sinus up like Sudafed but not harmful.. thanks for reading please respond as I zuess is for sure uncomfortable and as he doesn't mind the anti inflammatory he hate the tramadal and unless I dilute it and suit it in his mouth have zero luck getting him to eat it.. must be a strong sent as no mater that I've tried he finds it. Often spitting it out and eating the yums. Super cute but not awesome for his pain.. thanks, ill be waiting
We're the tumor was it has eaten away some of the bone per the x-rays also he had aabseth tooth that hadn't healed . We had the teeth removed but when went into surgery one of the wounds has. Not healed . Also painful I 5hink. He did take his full regiment of antibiotics....
Hi Dr. Sue. Unfortunately I found your page and information after I had already let my sweet 8 yr old go. He should still be here with me. But I’m so glad to be able to spread this information. So strange that you are posting this info in nasal tumors now as my friend’s boxer had a nasal mass. She is trying to prepare herself to let her go and I’m encouraging her to take her down to U of Minnesota and get the accurate info and all her treatment option.
I am 😢 so terrified. My dog has had nasal problems for 3 months, doctors gave meds and now her face is puffy. I took her to ER and nothing showed on the XRay. She’s got green mucus, sometimes clear; one time bloody sneeze. They didn’t take her blood yesterday at the vet, I’m going to have to ask them to. They just referred ENT, but I can’t find one nearby.
Perfect this was great! Thank you! 1200.00 my cat still has this nose thing, but his teeth are clean! I feel like I need to know the language before I take him in again. He's an out door cat but h loves creature comforts...he came to me it's been 7 years, 2 he just roamed and then picked my house!
My dog got a lump it felt like the next day. Day before she was fine, Following day she had a pretty decent size lump that was hard as a rock. Its on her lip exactly like the dog in the picture. She has had a seizure a while back which she never had before. And her vet told me as long as she never had any more she was fine. So I took her word and never went for any further check up. Now everything I been seeing has been matching Fibrosarcoma and she is almost 13 years old a doberman mixed with beagle. I called her Vet today cause the lump keeps growing in size and they haven't returned my call yet. But right now it still doesn't seem to effect her much. she still plays and eats just fine but it does seem like her barking is bothering her and when she lays down takes her time to find a spot to sleep now.
Lovely video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you thought about - Yenamilla Sniffing Reformed (probably on Google)? It is a great one of a kind guide for curing nasal polyps permanently and naturally minus the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my friend Sam after many years got amazing success with it.
Hi Dr. Sue. I am so glad I found you on here! Our 9 year old black labrador Jake has a mass on the left side of his snout that his vet had aspirated and determined to be a lipoma. Surgery was set for July 1st to remove the lipoma as well as an additional lipoma on his chest, that is until this past Wednesday he started to sneeze blood, I called the vet when they opened the next day and they bumped his surgery to next day. When I took him in this past Friday for the surgery, his doc had said that his nose/condition looked worse, and he didn't feel surgery was his best option and he wanted him to get a CT to see what was going on inside his nose. He was prescribed a sedative to keep his BP down to prevent the nose bleeds. We have a consult with internal medicine this Wednesday and then the next day they will do the CT. In your experience, is this indicative of cancer? Even after confirming the mass was a lipoma, could cancer still be present deeper down? I'm just antsy and scared for next week, and our poor guy has compromised breathing on his left nostril due to the mass and he has had 2 very bad nose bleeds the past few days. Any advice/tips would be appreciated. Thank you!
We just found out our beloved Memphis has a nasal tumor that is growing into his brain. He's 11 and given that this tumor is innoperable and given the poor prognosis with palliative radiation we've decided to manage him medically as best as we can. Our vet prescribe prednilosone and omeprazole. I'm curious to know what holistic supplements you might recommend. My other question is, have you had any luck with LDN (low dose naltrexone)?
I feel your heartache. May I suggest the blog Prairie dog hall for your holistic option. What type of imaging did Memphis have? Prayers for Memphis and your family.
I have a small terrier who started out developing seizures at around 12 years old one seizure every few months and then it progressed to bleeding out of his left nostril and the bleeding became much worse along with a long stringy mucus discharge get to the high cost of Cancer Care in his age it's been prohibited he still has a good appetite for trying to make them as comfortable as possible if your videos fantastic cuz I've been starving for information thanks so much for what you do
Thanks so much for making this video, my dog has had oral cancer for 15 months, we had it removed, but couldn’t get clean margins, she did a vaccine study/therapy that helped for a while. But in the last week or so it presented as sinus type symptoms, yellow discharge in the nose and even greenish grayish discharge around the eyes way more than normal. I’m glad you mentioned that, oral tumors. Once they invade, the sinus cavity, can produce the sinus symptoms Don’t know if I should get her on an antibiotic or if it is just caused by the cancer? ironically, she was just finishing a 14 day dose of antibiotics that was for an abscess that had started to form around the mass on the side of her jaw. I would say the symptoms started with a yellow discharge probably three days before she finished the antibiotics. So maybe whatever she’s got going on was resistant to that antibiotic? Any input appreciated? Thanks
I have a 4 year old German shepherd/husky dog with a swollen bridge of the nose with constant clear watery nasal discharge. He has a lack of appetite, frequent peeing, and diarrhea. There was a skull X-ray done, but no definitive answer as to what it is.
My beautiful 13 yr old girl called star who only looked half her age didn’t look ill she started getting symptoms Easter 2016 back and forth to the vets didn’t get diagnosed till Oct they kept saying she had a allergy I knew she didn’t I changed vets got a CT scan ! Most vets in UK haven’t dealt with nasal tumours there not fully aware even when I changed vets I was the one walking in there with info printed out from internet all they kept doing is giving her endless amounts of antibiotics. Through research I found the holistic approach works best esp for small dogs there was a yahoo group artemisinin and cancer with is now closed but I think they have moved to Facebook on there they had a few old small dogs who survived 2 years with nasal tumours one was called teddy and the other mo Diet and different vitamins- turkey tail mushroom most didn’t even use artemisinin all holistic I found it to late for my girl although I tried she passed feb 2017
We had a vet who kept saying that our Rottweiler (now at the great bone of the sky)'s Osteosarcoma was not spreading to her nose and was surprised when my parents put her down it DID. Check your dog's body too, some vets are discriminatory towards some breeds over others in this situation
Kudos for the Video! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Saankramer Top Achiever System (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a good one of a kind product for getting rid of your Nasal Polyps naturally minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got excellent success with it.
Would have appreciated close-up photos of what nasal cancer looks like in cats. . What home remedies might work, as I don't believe in chemo theory. If left untreated, what happens? Just more close up info. I've also heard of animals having parasites up their noses, that burrow in, there will be a small hole that they use for air, a clear fluid. I've watched Vets pull out these parasites, some can be fairly large.
My 11 year old chihuahua dachshund mix has had a couple of nosebleed after trauma to her nose from another dog nipping at her face. She had a xray nothing showed up. CT Scan here in Alberta Canada is $3 thousands dollars. My vet said the outcome won't change if it is cancer. We have done Tetracycline medicine, Clavamox, Baytril. She still has 2 more Simparica tablets to take for possible mites.
hey Doc last month we took our dog to the vet because his nose is bleeding and sneezing and his nose bridge is swelling or like bump or lump.he prescribed tranexamic then the bleeding stops and swelling or the bump or lump gone.then after a month it came back, the swelling of the bridge or lump or bump came back and he sneeze blood and he also has cough.what could be it?.we live in rural areas doc.hope you find this comment
My dog just got diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the right nostril. It is completely blocked. He also had a lump by his right eye starting to grow. We battled for 6 months trying to treat what we thought was a sinus infection or dental infection. My vet knows how much I love my boy and suggested that treatment would only prolong his suffering and nothing would permanently get rid of this. I don't want that for my boy. No sickness from chemo or burns from radiation.. all for what? 1 extra year where he suffers from the treatment and diagnosis. Do you think this was a bad decision?
My dog was diagnosed with a nasal tumor last year. I couldn't bear to let him go despite the poor prognosis and went through with surgery and chemo. Sadly the tumor came back in 8 months. I feel guilty for having put him through everything, not to mention the financial expense. Treatment in his case was probably not the best decision.
@michelleacosta1180 unfortunately he went to the rainbow bridge one month after diagnosis on 4/16 surrounded by family in the comfort of his own home. I of course wonder if I made the right decision but was told by multiple people treatment would not solve anything. I'm sorry. You did the best you could for your pup. Decisions are hard. There is no right or wrong decision here. It's whatever your heart tells you to do.
My dog has this with the first nose bleed end December 2020 and was diagnosed end of June 2021 and now it’s nearly May 2022 and her nose is very big now now growing outwards and now has infections on the 3rd one in same place and have to take her to vets tomorrow as it bursts but then she ran into someone’s leg I think as it was all very quick then blood everywhere and won’t stop bleeding !! She can’t smell now and vet said 7 weeks ago she only has a couple months but she’s still eating and on pain meds. She is 11 1/2 years old now and looks big but I think better growing out and not into brain !! Her nose bleeds out one side and mucus out other a lot but whilst she still plays, eats and not in pain then all good. She also went about a year before first bump on nose so think she had the slow growing one but also she’s on a protein mainly diet cooking her chicken most the time maybe a bit of fish.
Hi Dr sue, is it possible to see no sign of cancer besides a mass growing on the dogs nose? What are the chances of a hard mass to not to be cancer on the top of a dogs nose?
and of course ive been asking for almost 2 years and im so surprised it only makes up 2% i was apart of a nasal cancer group on fb and there were 100s of dogs with all types of nasal cancer :(

My dog has trouble breathing out of his nose and his nose bleeds or runs out of one nostril. The vets didn't find a mass when they scanned him, but this worries me.
@@julianmontoya428 I'm sorry to hear that. Sadly, my baby passed away about a month after writing that comment. I highly suggest getting your dog checked out. Mine had cancer that had metastasized.
Very sorry for your loss and you are in my thoughts. He did not have facial deformities. He actually had liver and spleen cancer and it spread to his nose after a few months so we didn’t actually know he had cancer until he started having the nose bleeds
Found your video my chi had a full dental extraction and had X-ray which dentist thought was teeth in sinus so went to dental specialist which they did ct scan the are not sure what exactly is going on but he is having sneezing and bleeding occasionally so I assume is some sort of cancer. I am awaiting more information but there is erosion of bone into eye socket and eroding toward brain. My question could this metastasized to spine or the other way around. This year I thought he aspirationed and he had no use of hind end with it as well. He regained use with rehab and X-ray looks like disintegration of bone of spine which we thought arthritis. Has had runny nose for awhile and lots of tears eye. So I think it’s been brewing awhile , he is 13 and about 5 lbs So even if get radiation of cancer still have spinal issues so do you think this could be from same process??
i hope you have gone to see a specialist. I just paid $400 CAN (550USD about) to see the specialist today because my dog wasn't eating and her right nasal passage was leaking clear, then sometimes mucus - yellow or green. I was referred by my vet and he had also referred me to have a CT SCAN $1500CDN - this shows a bilateral mass in her nasal passage just before it narrows and connects with the throat. He is going to do a scope on her Sept 13 ($1800 CDN) and i am praying to GOD it is just an infection polyp that can be prodded & scraped out . The specialist said today though that the ct scan radiologist said it was bilateral so usually if a mass is like that it is a tumour. Yet there is no discharge from the left nose - that is how she is breathing. Long and short - I sure hope you have got to a vet - from symptoms Aug1/21 to today Aug 31/21 it has been a very difficult time. Without my vet this 6.6 11 year old Chihuahua would have passed mid August.
All I know is vets charge much more when they know you love your pet as it's part of your family and the ONCE you say I don't care what it cost the price just doubled.I seen so many vets in the bay area that could careless about and cat or dog it's all about the money! Oh go try care credit but you get denied so tuff shit they can't help you without putting $500 dollar deposit..If I find out any vet that needs my help when it comes to certain things witch I ain't going to say what I do but if I find out they are vets I'm going to treat them exactly like they have me and my friends and family!!
Well vet said cancer a year ago. My granddog was severely sprayed by a skunk & then hit in the nose a couple weeks later we think by a deer. There is no discharge since then. He snorts a lot. There's a hump on the top of his nose. Thoughts?
We had a cat who kept getting mated (vets wouldn't spay because they were scared of 1/2 wild cats). Can breeding over and over cause head tumours as my father discovered before he humanely put her down (again, vets wouldn't touch her)?
Hi thank you so much for the info. My dog is being diagnosed with nasal passage tumor. I am giving her home remedies as I am researching online and people had the same issues sharing all their experiences ei; Like molasses + baking Soda + chicken And all probiotics (yoghurt, peanut butter, coconut oil, turmeric, curcumin, blueberries. Anti-oxidant. Her food like organic chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, collard greens. Celery & collard green juice. Is there additional recommendations that I can follow? I am not giving up on her and we are going to beat this cancer. Also I found a baby nose cleaning to suck out discharge from her nose.
Good afternoon Dr. my dog have been bleeding for a month now but the only symptoms I see is the frequent bleeding, it does eat but only chicken. Can this be a tumor

Hello Dr Sue. I have a dog. He was bitten by monkey and his throat is starting to swollen a little. But there is no sign of bite mark on my dog. If i touch in neck portion he started crying. I don't know what to do! Please Help.
I have a 14 1/2 year-old chocolate lab who has bad arthritis I believe now he has some cancer in his nose is he does a lot of sneezing he has white white at the end of his nose like white blobs and he has had a couple bloody notices he does wheeze heavy he snores a lot my question is what can I do to give him comfort and when is the time to put him down and And is there anything I can do about the smell because his nose area really smells now and it's smelling up wherever he's around

We were just told that our mixed breed King Charles Cavalier/? has nasal cancer( adenocarcinoma )with about 3-6 months to live. As far as a vet oncologist or vet radiation oncologist I understand from your videos that the stereotactic radiation is the best treatment. Is there anything that would work with holistic medicine that would work or help to give him a longer life? Please answer we don’t have long😭😭😭
My little Maltese has a lump on the side of her nose. Besides cancer what else could it be? Is it possible it’s just from her bad teeth? I want to get her teeth cleaned & a aspiration of the lump but she has a liver shunt & is not supposed to be under anaesthetic!
thank you, our Maisy just had a tooth removed and we very happy with the care she received especially during these sometimes ridiculous times. But we've noticed in the week her nose doesn't seem to be clearing up as fast as we thought it would. I just now before viewing this video, cleaned it out since we just went for a walk and it was wet. It has been very dry and crusty lying around during her recovery period. I can see something after it is cleaned, maybe a swollen polyp? Should I wait a few days to see how it comes along or call the vet again so soon. Maisy has been a very healthy dog up til now (13.5 /yrs)
I am so sorry your dog was diagnosed with cancer and I am happy you are here getting this info. That is why I make free content in my spare time. If you want to know why I smile, it is because I love what I do. I love helping pets and their families during these challenging sad times. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UA3gT7vclDA.html
My dog has abnormal bump on his nose. I also feel the lymph nodes. His appetite is still good and he's looking healthy. I took a couple pics to get your thoughts. Is there an email address I can send them? Also what might that CT run?
Wow! I highly doubt she enjoys animals suffering she’s literally trying to educate people while taking time out of her life to do so!. If she was this cruel pyscopath as your insinuating why on earth would she be tryint to help? You people are mentally I’ll lol smh
Why do you smile so much when you're talking about dogs with cancer? I don't see what there is to smile about. Maybe you could enlighten me. Also, I think you should make it clear that you will never be responding to comments because some people come on here asking for help or for you to answer their questions, and they really shouldn't be waiting around for someone on the internet who will never respond. They should contact their local vets ASAP instead.
I saw that you shadow banned me/removed my comment. Why? That's very petty and egotistical, but I'm not surprised. I don't like much about you, and now even less.

Matthew 5:17-18 should be read by Bible bashers. Christ would be disappointed in the amount added and removed in the Laws of God he came to see brought in.
