My Dad loved dogs and always spoilt them. It was so hard seeing the grief and pain in his eyes whenever they died. They are all reunited now, and one day I hope to be with them all again and sharing all that love. RIP Dad, Whisky, Shep, Brandy, Tinker, Spot, Tara, Bruno and Chappie xxx

There is nothing like the love and connection between a boy and his dog. Even when the ‘boy’ is 60 years old or more.

This was my husband with our Golden. My hubby even got an RV so he could vacation with us and not be left behind. It was hard for all of us when he passed away. But my husband definitely took it very hard. RIP, Copper. 🐕💔

My dad was exactly the same - didn’t want one and of course as soon as he met Ollie our golden retriever he fell in love and ended up bonding with him more than my mum - sadly dad passed away in hospital 2 years later and never got a chance to say goodbye to Ollie but I hope they will meet again one day - Ollie is now 14 and can’t believe he’s lived this long - dogs really are the best ❤

My mother was the same way until we got our first golden retriever. That was 26 years ago and she'll probably keep having them for the rest of her life. She even cooks for our dog now!

My grandfather didn't want a dog. My grandmother surprised him with a dog. Since then he has always had a dog. He pass away last summer and his pup lives with my aunt and her dog.

Every time I see his face, I gotta sit down - Sterling takes my breath away! I'll bet it only took dad 3.2 minutes to fall in love with him. Goldie's have perpetually smiling faces, gentle personalities, they're always doing something funny and their chocolate pudding eyes can make anyone melt. Doesn't it seem like the family member that doesn't want a dog, falls in love first?!?!?? :o)
