Hi Erin and JP: I know I'm like waaay behind, but I finally finally had time to watch this. Aww, what a little guy! We've not yet had a singleton pup yet, though we did have a C-section. I'm so glad that Mama Piper was still able to recognize him and mother him. I love that you did everything you could to give him that much needed solid start in life. The point about him being able to self-soothe. I can see a lot of people wanting to coddle a distressed puppy but doing that only makes a pup less resilient. I'm sure by now Bruno is probably in his new home by now. Hey, if he went to IL, that's not super super far from me. Cool! Things were broo Roo Rooing around here for a while. Mama Laci gave us four lovely llittle girls last weekend. We're taking a slower approach with ENS because this is Mama's first litter with us, and for the first few days, she was like: "Hey hey, that's my baby! Don't hurt her!" Every time Meghan handled a pup. She's much better now, but Megh always wants to be respectful of Mama's needs, too.

Not gonna lie the pup I got was rejected along with his 9 siblings before they were even 3 weeks old. I ended up taking him in. The first thing I gave him was security, warmth,and an area to pee. We did have another pup but he was much older and a bit to rough on him so we waited until he was older for that. But for some reason he rarely bark, or whine, when I left him by himself. He was also not even fazed with loud noises compare to the other dog. And before he hit 2 months he was already potty trained outside. Compare to the older puppy my sister has.(that dog was not fully potty trained untill he was 5 months).I also found it quite easy to train him to the point that he was mostly of leash trained. I don't know but I got quite luck with him.

Maybe golden doodles can’t handle cold but a friends only litter survivor stayed outside with mom in Jan and it’s into Feb now. We re in MS, but it’s not 70 at night here lol often not 70 in day either. No heating pad ever used. Mom lives outside only too. Now at 6 weeks, puppy has had other dogs in “the pack” that are out there with her that are helping make up for siblings absence. But she’s very socialized to the family too. I was worried about her as her momma is a bad mom (won’t go into details). She refuses to sleep w/her the last couple weeks, but another dog does instead or she might freeze. She also quit feeding her they thought (a week at least) but yesterday n today was caught feeding her. She eats soft kibble in milk just fine. Or wet bread in milk. I still feel bad for her loneliness. She whines a lot when the pack goes off and she’s left. She would love to be an inside someone’s puppy.

Hello! Do any of the puppies ever have a hard time with the crate over the potty area (like tripping and legs falling through). My family breeds golden doodles but my mom refuses to do it this way because she thinks they'll hurt themselves. But I think it's such a good idea! Way less mess on their paws I bet.

I also just had a Singleton puppy born by cesarean section. She's doing great but I have noticed a bit of aggressiveness when it comes to toys and myself. It's almost as if she can't separate the toy chewing from the person / Me... Who has given her the toy and is playing with her. Just know, any doodle breeder is a back yard breeder. Even the guy who "made" the first doodle regrets it.

I wish you would breed an ethical breed. Not an unethical mix. Standard poodles have all the pros that these dogs do but can be ethically bred. You do so so much for these dogs, and yet fail on the most basic level to be an ethical breeder. .
