I am seconds in and relating so much already. I love that other talk about their dogs poo with their co owners. Me and my mom will discuss whether the dogs pooped and if it was an ok poop, a good poop, or a bad poop. I think it is something dog owners should do because poop can so often reflect whether the dog is healthy or not and so on.

Astro did so well in the car for such a long period of time! We hope our Aussie can get there.. she gets super anxious during car rides.

My SDIT has always loved car rides but would walk from side to side even if she is restrained by a crash tested car tether with a harness (I drive a truck so there’s more room) and I taught her to settle in the car with long lasting chews/treats! I avoid bully sticks and things that could choke her or hurt/poke her but they make these awesome long lasting chews that go inside of a hard rubber toy that are super safe and work well, Bene bones are great too! I’ve noticed even just after a month of offering it every car ride she now just settles in the back seat and will lay down and not try to walk back k and forth! Of course a crate is ideal in a car but not always in everyone’s present, one day I’d like to have a crash tested one for her for peace of mind! Just an idea, Astro is doin so much better in the car than he used to! Keep up the hard work!
