Garudabowo TV I imagine if they showed Falco the live action version, he wouldn’t react the same since none of the creatures in that convey any emotion at all
Notice how Simba's ears are flat instead of standing up? That's how some animals, like rabbits display sadness, fear or both. You don't always need to read facial expressions because some animals are not as facially expressive as we are in real life. Simba and the other characters are not as facially expressive in the live action remake, that's true, but have you studied their body language?
The people at Disney studied lions and how they move for this movie. The dog most likely reacts because Simbas body language is so much like an actual animal that the emotions come across clearly, even to a dog. The animal body language, combined with some more human facial expressions as well makes the events very readable to a dog (as dogs have evolved to emote more with their faces in order to better communicate with humans).
This just proves that dogs can understand facial expressions and vocal inflections. He could see and hear Simba’s despair and Scar’s malicious intent. You know the animators did a great job when animals can understand and sympathize with animated characters.
I honestly, truly believe they understand human language. They've literally evolved alongside us for millenia. They know our faces, how we communicate, our intentions.
@@Krystalmyth Actually, animals can understand some words that we say. Just because they evolved alongside humans, it doesn't means that they understand everything we say.
“You cannot share your life with a dog or a cat and not know perfectly well that animals have personalities and minds and feelings”. -Jane Goodall 🐾♥️🐾
This is extraordinary. The dog whimpers in the sadness of seeing pain and loss and understands the one responsible for that pain and loss. Animals can understand emotions very well and many times better then some humans can.
David Sebelius That's why I like them. It may be because I'm of German heritage that attracts them to me but they are just what I like in a dog, very loyal to their owners too. I don't have one but hope to have one some day.
David Sebelius wunderbar! Yes my family are from Mannheim and I certainly think if one is German themselves they will naturally gravitate towards animals of their native lands. Dobermans and Dachshunds are nice too but just for it's pure beauty the German Shepherd is my favourite. You can always trust that anything German is good and that doesn't just go for animals! I mean Falco is so intelligent he understands loss and he understands who has evil intentions just from a cartoon! Would definitely want a dog like him, he would sense anything wrong immediately and be a fine protector, especially for a woman.
That dog really knows whats going on.. People who say animals have no brain or cant feel emotions in theyre the heartless ones thats why they cant connect to these pure souls
Noodilious- So *true* and in more than just one way. *Subversion* & Social Engineering was his goal from day 1. Disney had regular meetings with CIA partners.
OMG I can't!😂 1. When Simba called out for help the dog turned to the owner and audience like "What y'all waiting for aren't you gonna help?" 2. Him barking at Scar to tell Simba he's in danger lol
Whoah! Falco is seriously intuitive picking up on how Scar is not a good guy. He was trying to warn little Simba of the danger. That is just the sweetest and most protective response I've ever seen a dog have toward this scene. But Lion King is apparently a favorite movie people watch with their pets. Nearly all of them seem to pick up on certain scenes. I think its utterly adorable! Thank You for sharing this!
The fact that this dog can not only understand what’s happening on a 2D screen but also follow the actions with cuts & changing angles/compositions is astonishing. Such a smart, good boy!
Also screens help a lot. The way human/canine eyes work and the way some screens (particularly older ones) display images, means dogs and other animals just do not see anything that makes sense on the tv. They do not see the same images you do.
they react very differently towards pictures of people smiling vs sad people, and if they saw their keeper "treat" an object better vs another object, they will fetch the object their owner likes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cOvuTW6p4gU.html Good docu on that but in German (The object-attachment part is at 21:07), but here's one in English about the pictures too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eK7wp2xWOo4.html Sorry, but I found that soo fascinating
It almost looks like that but if you pay attention he's got a shock collar on in the owner is shocking him watch it you'll see it flash green and then that's when the dog barks what a piece of s*** for doing this video
Yes it is one of features artificial intelligence can't. Neurons aren't computers. Their technology is not from 3d world. This tech is not explored yet.
Dogs can read the emotions on human faces, and since Simba has a sad face, the dog is reacting to that. He's also reacting to the cold psychopathic nature of Scar that the animation and voice has portrayed. Thus it recognizes ill-intent from Scar, that's why the barking. The doggo doesn't trust scar, as it wouldn't trust a human behaving that way.
In some way this really speaks for the quality of the animation, when even a dog, that really isn't the target audience for that movie, understands the feeling of the animated characters.
Its more the behacior of animals wich is perfecrly captured in this scene he knows what such a position on the ground means in "doggo/meow" (dead) And the pushing with the frontpaws if ya played with some dogs ya know they start doing this if ya do none ...
@@stevelozano9523 what does that mean, may I ask? Why the Female Symvol? I am female, and I do not have that reaction to that situation, but - what is your issue with someone having? So, of you have one, would you explain the reason for your comment (and choice of emoji(s) )?
Amy Darr That's literally what Disney movies are for - traumatizing children (and animals, sure why not, add them too) since it was created. What people watch is called television "programming" for a reason.
@@CutsiePie_ Sociopaths are way better than cold blooded psychopaths becoz,at least a sociopath was a normal human once so he or she is not harmful thing for humanity.
@@twisttik9561 They still would be. For example cops turned dirty. They were once decent human being but because harmful to humanity. In terms of which is better; neither.
Dog actually has no idea what is going on. Its beahavior is actually all choreographed. Owner probably threw him biscuit if he made those noises at certain scenes. Thats why dog kept looking at owner for biscuits. Dont be fooled guys
You have a sympathetic pup there. It’s funny how I’ve seen some dogs who appear to be able to see and watch the television, while others pay it no attention.
This sweet boy is more sensitive and protective of Simba than some people I know, what a wonderful pet you guys have 🥰❤️ give him a kiss for me will you 💋

It's truly a testament to how good of a job the artists and animators did that dogs can react this way to a cartoon on a screen. ♥️👍🏻
Really nothing short of *mind blowing* how this dog is so INCREDIBLY SMART on so many aspects..never could have imagine this much!!! I have seen the ones who were able to follow and completely understand what was happening to Simba and were feeling sad for the character but this one went above and beyond: TOTALLY GETTING THAT THE DEATH OF THE FATHER WAS SCARS FAULT??!!! Are you kidding me with this? THIS DOG IS A GENIUS, TOTALLY EXTRAORDINARY!!!! WoW!!!
I have watched this movie over 1,000 times now and I have never been as emotional as I just was when one of the most loyal breeds of dogs was showing emotional reaction to this scene!!!
I get the impression that when the dog started barking when Scar showed up, he was trying to warn Simba! That's so amazing how dogs can sense someone's intentions, even those of fictional characters
He’s beautiful and this is a side people don’t see in shepherds. My dad bread and showed German Shepard’s throughout the 1940’s-1980 . We had an imported German Shepard named Falco in 1977 . Haven’t seen or heard of any dog with that name ( except my Pitt) until now❤️
May I just say that I like that you talk gently to your dog? Far too many people who upload videos of their dogs reacting to things- including when they're sad- just _mock_ the dogs. They laugh, they patronize, they call them stupid. Here you seem to have spoken more gently and don't seem to be patronizing Falco. For that, you have my thanks. I wish more would follow your example.
