This hits very close to home for me. When I was 20 years old, I had to have brain surgery. I was supposed to be hospitalized for 3 days. Due to complication after complication, I ended up having 11 surgeries and had to stay 3 months and another month of physical therapy. At the time, we had gotten a puppy about 6 months earlier. After about 2.5 months in the hospital, I was getting better so one of my parents took my outside in my wheelchair (I was too weak to walk still) where my other parent was with our dog. When she saw me, she ran like crazy and jumped in my lap. I get choked up every time I think about that day. She was with us for 13 years until she died.

Hearing my dog is eventually going to die is really upsetting. I’ve had a dog before (Spike) but he died (15 yrs). He was really special to me. I’m sorry for your loss.

@@purplelol6745 When your dog leaves, it's very hard. But we humans can survive it. It's much harder for a dog to lose its owner. I think I'd rather bury my dog than have him mourn me for the rest of his life.

@@TaroProstranstvoVariantov Having many dogs and all leave is harder to me. I’ve had 3 dogs in the past and one by one, they’re going. Humans do get over it quick, but not if you love him more than anything in the entire world.

@@purplelol6745 I'm not saying that you can deal with the pain of loss easily and quickly. No! It's hard and painful and long... it's just that people can get over it. And dogs-no, they can't. They often die of boredom. They refuse to eat and drink, they cry. I don't want my dog to suffer like this. I'd rather suffer for myself. Excuse my English. I use a translator. I understand that not all the meaning that I say can be understood.

@@TaroProstranstvoVariantov I understand. My dog died 7 years ago and every time I remember about him, I cried. I can't force myself to adopt another animal since then, the pain for losing him is too real. But really it's better me who got broken heart than him. I know if I die and I left him all alone, he will die soon after :((

Oh my god , I couldn’t control my tears. The re union of them for a short while made me satisfy that the dog was able to see grandpa. I pray to god that granpa should come back healthy and take care of the dog till he can. Now at least a family is taking care, I am really very happy. Please take care of him , he has been in such a pain when grandpa was not there 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Such a sad and happy story, I hope Jangoon finds his forever home. People really need to make plans for there animals in case an emergency happens, I know with my kitty if I end up sick or in the hospital I have arrangements for him.

Its so heart brokening to see pore dog longing for his companion. He doesnt know that the granpa didnt have a choice about it. I dont understand how the old mans son could just leave the dog withouth care. I kept crying while watching this all the time

Dogs are always loyal and never betray their guardians. We do not deserve them and their affection at times. This dog is loyal to grandpa and misses him. Sad that grandpa is in a medical care facility, probably suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s, terrible to see someone with either condition. Just taking a wild guess, grandpa most likely is in the hospital or may have passed away after recording this video.

Despite it being a bitter sweet reunion, with the owner needing to remain in hospital and dog needing foster home, this video touched me very much. I work with patients that are elderly and have had strokes and can tell you first hand, many are very concerned about their pets, while they are in the hospital. Thanks for sharing this video. Reminder to everyone to make plans for their pets if something happens to them.
