Yesterday the Dodo had a rescued calf and chicken cuddling. I cried. Today the Dodo has a pink parrot and a big burly dog cuddling and in love. It is an emotional roller coaster with these animal stories.

The reason I love and trust animals way more than humans. They are pure don't carry hate, yet humans can't seem to just love, appreciate or give each other grace no matter how different we are.

@@WobblesandBean Well tbf it depends, some dogs can be friends with even cats, but you have to be sure those dogs are not "hunters" aka don't hurt smaller animals. We had a cat that loved gooses and chickens, never hurt them, she treated them as her kittens in fact since she was small, however I do agree it is risky if they have not known each other since the start and you should still always be in vicinity to take them apart if needed. Edit: but wolves and ravens for example do have an extraordinary "fur and flock" interspecies friendship

@@WobblesandBeani am a parrot owner and yes you're being cautious and following the rules and not take risk, but you're also wrong and right, its alright for parrot to interact with other species if they get along and dont cause harm, the bigger the bird, the safer the bird You're a beginning parrot owner as i can tell

Amazing, heartwarming, cute, loving friends, overwhelmingly adorable. I'm 76 now, but when I was 16 we had a cat that was friends with our parakeet. The parakeet would come out of his cage and fly to the cat and land on him and walk all over him. The cat never hurt the bird and seemed to grieve for a week after the parakeet died.

Yep. Animals understand d*@th, they just need to be allowed to smell the c○rps€ so they know. Otherwise they're left wondering why someone left and never came back. Which is so sad! That's why I took my moms dog to the hospital, AD, to let her smell. She wanted me to be her new mommy but my dog was too jealous of her so my brother has her. 😢😭

Sigh. No, it can't. This is so dangerous and irresponsible. Sooner or later you're going to see an update from this terrible bird owner that the dog "accidentally" Game Over'd the cockatoo. No parrot owner will tell you it's ok to let a dog and a bird interact. Ever.

Milo is a hero! 🥰 He found an injured bird and brought it home to heal, how incredible! I assumed they just adopted a bird and they became friends, but no, that's a wild bird choosing to stay with the pupper who saved his life. Beautiful 😭❤️

Forty years ago my son came into our lives thru adoption. There were some rough times but the good times far outweighed the hard 100fold…. Forty years later he is still amazing . Love her, cherish her and lovingly guide her through the rough times.

I wish the Dodo would have left a warning never to leave a dog or cat with a bird unattended even if they appear to be great friends -- not saying this woman does that, but it's important not to give other bird owners the idea because instinct can kick in, and it does (and not so infrequently). Dodo please consider adding cautionary advice to some of your bird videos. I believe you may already do this with dogs and cats, but I often see bird videos where it is also warranted (eg, when people are cooking in the kitchen with their birds or going for walks with their birds without a harness).

I agree with u fully, it's so important to keep birds/any animals around u safe and that takes all these precautions. One small mistake and it could cost a lot god forbid. In this vdo it's clear that the pet pawrent was always around supervising their interaction and the dog was very friendly to begin with. Not all dogs are friendly with birds, they can be friendly with humans or other animals but their instinct can kick in with birds and small creature. I have dogs , I feel like their instinct would kick in if they saw birds even though hey won't know that they could consume it lol.

We have a labradoodle. He is a hunter. He killed rabbits,muskrat,a very large skunk,. For the first 2 years he left all kinds of animals near the back of the house. Never knew what will show up.he stopped now . Seems he has slowed down at age of 4 in June. Never ate them. Just showed off to us. He was proud of himself. This is our 4th dog and the first one to hunt. All our dogs lived long lives. Began with our first dog in 1973.
